You might remember that a couple of months ago I featured a new product I had seen at an event called the K9Carfence, an in-car safety fence designed for small dogs.
Well recently the K9Carfence company offered me up a chance to take their product for a test drive.
At first I was a bit worried that I might have to give up the booster seat that I have been riding in since I was just a wee pup, but I was relieved to hear that my booster could easily fit inside the K9Carfence system.
The K9Carfence easily attaches to any front or back seat of a car (I personally prefer to ride in the back seat) to keep your dog protected and secure while riding in the car.
And while I prefer to put my booster seat inside the K9Carfence, you do have the option to simply let your dog move freely within the space. This would be great for dogs that don’t like to be confined while in the car, and still want to be able to look out of the window or easily change positions.
Should you need to take down the K9Carfence for any non-furry passengers, it easily unsnaps and can be pushed underneath a seat, leaving the seat protector in place and the seat belts still fully functional.
Or if you prefer, with a few more easy steps you can roll the entire K9Carfence into a neat little travel bag making it easy to transport into another vehicle or to stow away until you need it again.

As you can see adjusting to the K9Carfence wasn’t even an issue for me, and although I didn’t test it out in any sudden stops (mom says she’s a very good driver and has a zero accident record – and I’m hoping she keeps it that way), it does seem like it would prevent me from flying around the car should we ever have an accident. And one can never be too safe when the lives of cute little Dachshunds are at stake!

- Fast, easy, no-tools set up
- Keeps your pet visible to you at all times with the see-through mesh
- Keeps pets in a safe confined area and out from under car pedals or laps which can easily distract a driver
- Can accommodate multiple dogs within one K9Carfence
- Easy to fold up and move to another vehicle
We should all be able to agree that allowing your dog to roam freely in the car while you are driving is not very safe, for you or your pet. With the K9Carfence you can still allow your dog that freedom in the car, while keeping them safe at the same time.

We had to get a barrier system between the front and back seat of our SUV due to “Juliet the Jumper.” She wants to be with the pack (us) and when we took her on our first road trip, she decided that the back seat was NOT the place to be! LOL! We have a doggy hammock/sling in the back to keep our two from falling into the well. I’m actually looking for something to keep Jasmine from climbing UNDER the hammock from the side. Perhaps the Car Fence? But then again, we’d need to put two of them into the car to keep Jasmine the Burrower from eluding the safety hammock!
We like to take the dogs wherever we go, and road trips to Maine are our favorite!

We take our mini doxie, Heidi, a lot of places. We’ve gone to Hopewell Furnance State park and Marsh Creek. She loves going to grandma and grandpop’s too. She has a car seat like yours but she still likes to jump into the front seat.

Keep my pet safe! We love taking our dachshund Lyle and our WFT to the dog park right now since it is so cold. But when it’s nice out, we loves taking them hiking since we live in Colorado. Unfortunately we don’t have any sort of safety net for our buddies so this would be perfect.

Sambo loves to just get in the car. He doesn’t care where he is going because he is so excited. It may be the vet, getting nails done or just a fun ride to pick up fast food. I always tell him where he is going and he will settle down as we are on the return home. He is still a puppy. This fence would be perfect for us I think.

My favorite place to travel with my fur-son would have to the El Dorado Beach in South Lake Tahoe. It is one of the few beaches that dogs are allowed on in SLT. It is the perfect spot because my furbaby, Lil Bit gets to run around with other fur-friends, swim in the lake and even get to paddleboard with me!!!

My favorite place to travel with my dog is anywhere! I love going on roadtrips and he makes the perfect companion! He is happy to go anywhere with me, especially so he doesn’t have to stay at home alone or with a babysitter!

Ammo, Mom reads your blog to me all the time! She has a convertible so there isn’t a lot of room for me to explore in the back like in her old Lincoln so she says I’ma have to start riding in my crate to keep me safe. This would be perfect for me!
Bonus Question: I love to go to San Fransisco with Mom, there are so many things to see! Sea Gulls bigger than me, the fish markets, boats and lots of people! We usually stop in Oakland on the way just for a lil walkies for me in the really cool dog park that’s on the beach!!

My 2 doxies (Lainey and Phoebe) love to ride in the car wherever they can – to the dog park, the petstore, friends’ houses, and even camping! They love the outdoors and one of my girls (Lainey) LOVES to swim!! It keeps her active and cool in the Arizona summers.

I have the exact same booster seat you do, and my doxies love riding in the car. They get really excited whenever we get in to visit their “grandparents” – this looks like a great additional safety measure!

keep my pet safe…Just got our chiweenie Daisy this weekend from a military family who had to give her up. So far she doesn’t love the car, but hopefully a few more trips to dog park will change her mind.
I always have at least one dog with me in the car, so I’m constantly on the lookout for new ways to keep my pet safe.

We like to take Magda up to Bradford County to visit sister and family. No leashes required up there for Magda. She gets to run free with the big hunting dogs; she actually shows them up sometimes with her super sniffer. It is so much fun to watch her remember she actually is a dog and not just the gentile queen of our house lol!
Looks like an awesome product. I know I’ve been looking for something to KEEP MY PETS SAFE while driving and since we just added a brand-new doxie puppy to the family, it’s extra important. We love to travel to visit my in-laws and my own parents and so do the dogs. Lovies for their family, other dogs, and YARDS! 😀
