Disclaimer: This review and giveaway is brought to you by Easy 123 Art.
Growing up in a family of artists (including myself) there never seems to be a shortness of creativity. But did you know that even if you aren’t of the artistic nature, that it’s still as easy as 123, with Easy 123 Art!
Makers of the Photo by Numbers Kit, I was super excited when they offered me up the chance to test out their mini 8×8 paint by number kit.
So first things first, I had to choose one of my photos that I wanted to turn into a paint by number. This was no easy task if you have seen the number of photographs my mom takes of me on a daily basis. So we finally settled on this shot of me on the Cape May Beaches this summer.
We sent my photo off to Easy 123 Art, and they sent me back this nifty little paint by number kit a few days later.
Complete with brushes and acrylic paints numbered to match the blocks on your art, it was time for mom to get painting!
Mom decided to use some of her own paintbrushes she had on hand for the detailed stuff, but it was noted in the directions that you could trim the ends of the brushes included with a pair of scissors to get a more detailed brush.
Starting with the smallest numbers first, slowly mom began to make progress on my painting.
Over a week, working on it here and there at the shop, my painting was starting to take shape.
After the painting was complete this is what it looked like. Mom decided to do a little editing herself though and painted over the id tag from my collar that she didn’t think was necessary, and when it was all said and done it looked like this….
I was quite impressed, and the only thing missing was a frame! So being that I work in a custom framing shop I just couldn’t leave this work of art unfinished.
So here’s the finished product, which is happily hanging on the wall at the shop!
Easy 123 Art’s Paint by Numbers kits come in several different sizes, and the coolest part is that you can turn ANY photo you have into a work of art. These would make great gifts for the holidays, so make sure you add them to your Christmas lists!
And now for the best part…

This is so neat! I would definitely have a picture of my dog done! I’m sure my husband would be thrilled 😉
Love this! I want to do one of my two Weenies!
I am not artistic, but I love paintings of dogs. This would be great to try out! So cool! I’d like one of my 2 dogs… Just have to decide on a picture (I have sooo many!).
Peabody was “Peacasso” for Halloween — this seems like a natural for us! We’ll do one of her in her artiste outfit…
I would choose a picture of Ollie in his superhero costume from Halloween!
I’d love a painting of Rex’s Christmas picture from last year!
I have seen these and want one of my Mika! You’re so cute Ammo!!!
I have the perfect photo of Harley under the Christmas tree!
I would love to turn a cute photo of the pug that I’m planning on getting next month!
just wondering, was this the detailed kit or the simple kit?
This was the kit that was used in our review.
oh I see what you are asking, you know I am not sure if it is detailed or simple. I can check with the company. My guess would be simple.
ok, yes, it is a simple kit.
What a fun idea and Ammo looks so great! Got very excited until you edited his tag out lol
Oh yes, sorry cate! The translation to paint by number left it hard to tell what it was & it seemed to just be floating in space. The in-person blanket Id tag is much better anyway!
I am looking for a paint by number for a 7 year old. Do you have anything suitable?
We do not sell these paint by numbers, but did a product review for this company. You would have to check with them.
I sent $120 for Easy Art picture and frame. You forgot the frame and sent me one later…a flimsy piece of wood. I don’t know how to put that on the canvas, nor do I think it’s worth $30 difference that I paid for the original canvas…please help. I have a finished picture that looks great with an ugly wobbly frame!
I’m sorry, but you have the wrong website. We do not sell this product, this is just a blog post product review we did several years ago with this company. If you are having issues with a purchase I suggest you contact them from their website.
