I had heard great things about Barkbox, a monthly subscription plan of goodies for your furry friend, and I was super excited when they offered to send me a box.
Last month I received my very first Barkbox delivery, and since it was the month of October, mom was determined to get a photo of me in my Halloween costume with my box of goodies.
Only when I got a sniff of all the glorious things inside my October Barkbox, I just couldn’t be bothered to sit pretty in my Ninja Turtle costume for photos. So I ripped off that mask and dove right in!
Barkbox is one of those companies that I can really get behind, because not only do they provide a great product, but they also donate 10% of their proceeds to dogs in need.
With subscription plans starting as low as $19 a month, there is something for every budget!
For such a small box I was surprised at how much they were able to fit in there! And I can’t help but think these would make the perfect gifts for all your dog loving friends this Christmas.
I loved the pack of shareable Halloween treats, which I even shared with a few of my doggie friends. And the Mutt Meatballs look like a blast (all you have to do is add a pound of ground beef to the mix and cook).
Of course I wasted no time showing my new toy how we do things in my house.
He may have only lasted a few hours with me, but we both had the time of our lives.
For all my friends you can get $5 off any new BarkBox subscription with code AMMO5
And incase you were wondering, I share really really well, which is why……

My dachshunds don’t like the mailman. They bark like crazy.
The mailman? Who’s that? I know my momma takes me for a walk down to this box on a stick at the end of the driveway to get what she says is mail…but I’ve never seen a man made of it!
Ammo-I love the last pic of you with your new toy. I can see that you were boss man. You look very handsome as usual.
Shilah loves the mailman. Especially the pizza delivery man!
My girls don’t know that the mailman exists. He’s quiet, unlike the trashman.
Haha, my dog has a love/hate relationship with the mailman. Generally, he hates him. However, one time the mailman invited Mr. Gatsby to get into the truck so that Mr. Gatsby would stop his incessant barking. That was a fun day.
Rex usually doesn’t mind the mail lady (our mailbox is also not close to our house, it’s across the road). He does however, not like the UPS or FedEx guys coming directly to our door.
Mail Man? we thought he was dinner.
He’s good with the mailman because he doesn’t actually come to the door, now UPS and Fedex are another story!
Both of my girls HATE the mailperson (we get guys & girls). There is a big window right near our mailbox that they like to look out of, and they bark like crazy at the mailperson.
Mail man? What mail man?
Thor puts the mailman in the same category as squirrels. There presence is not to be tolerated.
I hope you got the busy-buddy fleece toy in your November box. I signed Hans up for the barkbox after you put them on your birthday wish list. He loved the fleece toy with the roaming squeaker! Is your subscription for a small or medium?
I’m pretty sure this is the small barkbox subscription, but I will check on that for you.
It’s definitely the small size barkbox.
Also my dachshund, Hans has no idea there is a mailman but loves all people. So if we encountered a mailman he would probably love them.
My dogs never see the mailman cause the mail box is at the street. I imagine they would hate him though
If the door is open, Dot LOVES the mailman, wants pets and cuddles. When the door is closed, she barks and carries on. Maybe she just wants to the door open so she can get pets?
My dogs have a love/hate relationship with the mailman 🙂 They don’t like him when the door is closed and bark like crazy. When the door is open and a package is there …they just want the package and to see what goodies are in it for them 🙂
One of my pups loves everyone while my grumpy little boston would probably chew a mail man to shreads.
My dachshund, Heidi, would love this. She just loves treats and would share with her little friends down the street, Bridget and Bailey.
My dogs don’t really meet the mailman often, as we live in a condo complex and the mailboxes aren’t near our door. But the few times we pass our mailman on walks, they bark a LOT but lick his toes. So I’d say they like him lol.
I’ve debated a bark box subscription, I’d love to try it! 🙂
My pup doesn’t really see the mailman as we don’t live on the ground floor but I have a feeling he’d be excitingly scared of them as he is with most other people he doesn’t know!
Diggory doesn’t really care about the mailman. He’s in his crate whenever the mailman appears during the week! On Saturdays, Diggs just watches him intently through the window. 🙂
Raven doesn’t care of the mailman. At least I know when the mail is coming.
My dogs bark big but when it comes down to it the mailman if friend not foe
Rusty barks at the mailman, the big brown truck and the Fed Ex man!
I hate when she gets here, but love when she leaves! Almost everything’s for me, BOL!
Nola
If the mailman would have food, we would love him! Howie & Vienna
My dachshund, Sgt. Rusty, isn’t very fond of the mailman. 😛
They don’t really get to see him…but if he comes up to the door, then yeah, they bark – I LOVE the mailman 🙂
My two pups are easily excited by the mail lady. This is mainly because she rings the door bell and they go crazy… We love them but they do not have the best manners- we’re working on it though! =) Thanks for the chance to win! Love giveaways for the furbabies!
my dog hasn’t ever seen the mailman! we live in an apartment 🙂
My 2 dogs love the mailman. It’s because most of the mail is for them.
our awesome dachshund henry is confused…he says “mailman? you mean where i walk with my mom and she opens the box with her key, and then sometimes we go to the apartment office and get a cookie?? is the person with the cookie the mailman???”
Our mailman is pretty stealthy, like a ninja. Most of the time our dogs don’t even notice. But when he delivers a package, they go nuts! They love everyone, though they sound vicious and scare him away. Silly puppies. 🙂
We loved our October BarkBox. We currently subscribe to 7 of them (yes, seven different boxes) but the BarkBox was the clear winner with the Fruitables Halloween dog treat packages.
my dachshund has a love/hate relationship with the mailman… he barks like crazy when he comes to our door, but i’m sure he would love him, if only he was tall enough to see out the window.
All 3 doxies do not care for the mailman, but that might change if he/she has a Barkbox!
Hates! Every dog I have ever owned has barked like crazy when the mailman appears.
I do not know Lily’s feelings towards the mailman as he always leaves packages in the box but if the UPS man is any indication, Lily would not like the mailman
My big goober loves the mailman! He actually just likes to lick anything that moves.
My pups don’t even know our mailman! We live so far out in the country, and our house is so far off the road, they never see her! They do enjoy it when i take them to our P.O. Box late at night and let them roam the post office! 🙂
Our doxies, Gracie and Linus, love the mailman so much when they see him, they greet him with lots of barks! 😉
Oh boy…hope I win so I can use exercise my barking skills at the barkbox!
peanut (my doxie) LOVES the mailman! he brings him treats!
Living in a city apartment, Keats doesn’t cross paths with the mailman. She would probably be rude and bark at him though…
I would say that my doxie doesn’t like anyone he doesn’t know so he probably would not like the mailman. 🙂
my girls don’t meet the mailman, but they have no patience for tourist passing by.
never knows when he comes, she’s sleeping, so I don’t know either way!
ours goes to the community boxes so she never sees him.
