You may remember last year when I did a review for a fluffy organic dog bed from Kentucky Bluebird. Well I’m back with another fun product review from my pals at Kentucky Bluebird.
Because of their fluffy kennel bed that I added to my own crate last year I’m happy to report that almost a year later I am much happier spending time in my crate. While it’s still not my FAVORITE place to be, I happily go in there each night at dinner and relax with a peanut butter stuffed toy on my Kentucky Bluebird bed. Mom attributes much of my new success with the crate because of the soft surface I now have to lay on.
Well now I’m back to share the Kentucky Bluebird Crate Mat, which comes in 9 fabulous colors. Suitable for dogs or cats, these pet mats make great travel beds, kennel or crate liners or in-home lounge spots – and come in a variety of sizes for big and small pets.
My gray mat even came with these great ties on all 4 corners so that you can tie it anywhere to keep it from moving around. In my case this is great for when I decide to “bury a bone” inside my crate.
These crate mats are machine-stitched, and made with industrial strength upholstery thread, making them scratch and chew-resistant. The mats are made with bonded poly fiber (made in the USA) and quilted to prevent bunching in the wash. It’s very soft and provides about 1 inch of plushy softness. The outer fabric is heavy duty 100% Organic, GOTS Certified Cotton Duck. You can feel good about purchasing items made from organic fabric, knowing the environmental impact of the cotton production and fabric manufacturing was significantly less than that of regular fabric. Organic fabric is also a healthier choice for your pet and home.
Since I still enjoy napping on my fluffier bed from Kentucky Bluebird I decided that this crate mat would be perfect for in the car when I don’t have my booster seat with me. Using the ties I can easily attach it to the seatbelt so it won’t slide around and it will keep mom or dad’s car clean from my inevitable muddy paws.
With the great part being the mat is machine washable on cold!
So if you’re looking to add a multifunctional crate mat to your home, I highly recommend Kentucky Bluebird – their products certainly hold up over time!
P.S. They can also sprinkle catnip in with the mat stuffing for no extra charge – don’t tell Cricket or Spider that…..because they would totally be stealing my new mat!

Crate Lover 😀
Dexter loves his crate for awhile and then wants out. Radar loves sleeping in his, he sleeps better and longer when he is in it.
Both of mine are pretty good in their crates!
Wow, are the kids crate lovers? It depends on when you ask them…..if we are in the RV yes they love to sleep in their crates and will go to “bed” before the humans if you leave the doors open. If it’s storming outside…yes Rowdy loves his crate with a blanket on top. Greta and Rowdy sleep in their crates every night but some nights they like them better than others.
Logan loves his crate! He feels safe in it. When he is scared, tired or wants to be by himself he just goes right in 🙂
My pup loves the crate but I also made it a cozy/fun spot
I’ve never tried crate training with my Larry but I need too because he has been having accidents in the house. 🙁
My dog likes his crate — a lot!
My dog(s) love their crate. They sleep there at night. It is their “apartment” and they feel safe there.
We love Ammo! Thanks for reviewing our pet mats!
my lil pugester loves to sleep in her crate, she is one of the sweetest little thing, thank you for the chance at winning.
I just adopted a 7 year old red doxie. Looks just like ammo! Been on a doggie shopping spree, but still need some basics. This would be great
