Every year I head off to the Tricolor Tree Farm to cut down murder my holiday tree.
After spending a good while looking for our unsuspecting tree victim we take the obligatory selfie with the “chosen one”.
All before chopping it down to bring into our home. It’s sort of a funny tradition if you really think about it, but my dad takes the tree murdering very seriously.
And before you know it, the deed is done, and our tree is ready to be carted off to its new home.
The friendly staff at Tricolor help to wrap up my tree, just incase there is any chance of it escaping on our way home.
Tied and bound, he’s off on an adventure of epic Christmas tree proportions.
And incase you’re feeling sad for our little Christmas tree friend. Don’t worry, I found him a nice spot in my living room, he has a fresh bowl of water and…..
…..I dressed him up to look even more fabulous than he already was!!
Happy Holidays!
What a beautiful tree! You did a FAB job decorating it and giving it a bowl of water.
Hugs,
Lily Belle & Muffin
Thanks! That tree certainly drinks a lot!
Ammo – don’t think of it as “murdering” the tree. The highest honor a Christmas tree can have is to be brought into someone’s home and decorated, becoming part of their family tradition and bringing beauty and joy to all. Your tree is wonderful, just like you and your family! XXX 000
you are right, but it is sort of funny if you think about the whole tradition of it. But my tree is certainly living it large in my living room right now!
That is a really pretty tree, Ammo, and you made it look so much prettier with all the decorations!!!! Merry Christmas to you, Mum, Dad and all your farm friends!!! And Trooper too!!!
What a cute story!!
