Even thought Christmas has come and gone, I haven’t forgotten about sharing just what sort of adventures I went on during my holiday break! So here’s my fun recap of all things Christmasy…
My Christmas eve started off pretty uneventful, as I still had to fulfill my shop dog duties for all the customers that needed to pick up their picture framing.
But eventually it was time to head over to Trooper’s house at the farm so that I could celebrate with him and my extended family.
I got busy right away helping to clean up around the kitchen. (apparently Trooper is slacking on his floor licking duties).
But elsewhere, the tree decorating fun was well underway! (and let’s be honest, my 6 foot 3 Uncle Taylor was much more suited for putting the angel on top than short little me)
The rest of the night consisted of gift giving, sock stealing (on Trooper’s part), good times with my family, and maybe just a few naps too. Before I knew it, it was time to head home so that Santa could bring me some presents!
When I woke on Christmas morning I was so excited! Honestly, I wasn’t sure if Santa would bring me anything after I caught that bunny in the backyard, and got on the dining room table to steal food (oops). But I guess my “goodness” outweighed the bad this year, because he brought me lots of fun presents!
From a December Barkbox filled with fun treats and toys….
…to this great treat dispensing toy and peanut butter cookies from the Barkshop.
My favorite new toy though, the Bouncing Squirrel Tail mom and dad bought me from the Barkshop! (you can snag one for your pup from the Barkshop with code AMMO for a FREE PRIZE at checkout). I’ve been having a blast with my new toy over the past few weeks!
Christmas is always an exciting whirlwind, and just as things were winding down mom and dad said we had to get ready to go to my MomMom & PopPop’s house.
I always love going to MomMom & PopPop’s house, because without fail, PopPop always manages to “drop” food on the floor. 😉
There was also plenty of time for more gift giving and playing with my cousins too (who coincidently also LOVED my new Bouncing Squirrel Tail too).
Christmas with my family is always a special time. Despite my excitement about all the gifts and food, my very favorite part is getting to be with the one’s I love.
Of course if you know me and my family, then you know that even though Christmas was over, the fun never stops at my house. The day after Christmas I was hitting the hiking trail with more of my family! After all, we had to burn off all those Christmas dinner calories we had the day before!
I’m already counting down the days until next Christmas! What sort of fun did you have for the holiday?
Hey Ammo! It looks like you had a Christmas as special as you are! The Bouncing Squirrel Tail is hilarious. I’m afraid something like that would make my vizsla want to eat my sister’s Yorkie lol. I always have to tell her the dog is not a squirrel when she starts stalking and pointing it.
Yea, I’m sure it just encourages my prey drive. But I already had that instinct way before this toy. And I don’t plan on changing anytime soon. So might as well enjoy it. ?
Ammo, it looks like you received a lot of toys and treats. I think Santa forgave the “little” mistakes. My dachshund got a lamb chop stuffed toy and destroyed it by the next day. Poor lamb chop.
Yea the stuffed ones don’t last in my house either!
You had a very pawsome Christmas, Ammo! Happy New Year to you and your family! <3 🙂
Hiya Ammo!!! WOW Santa sure was good to you. You must have been a super good pup last year. That Squirrel Tail toy is too much. I’ll have to check it out for my babies. Yep, we start counting down the days on December 26th around here. I have to keep reminding the wee ones to be good for next Christmas, hehe. Keep us up to date on your adventures. We love reading about you and the family. Take care, blessed be, hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio
It’s my new favorite toy. Although mom dad do have to turn it off sometimes when I get the sound going on repeat!
