Bake me a Cookie

When I heard that mom and dad were going to bake cookies for dad’s “cookie exchange” at work I was so excited! Honestly, the only word I heard was cookies.

I waited and waited for those cookies.

And when no cookies came my way….I took matters into my own paws…….

But alas, I did not score any cookies! Thank goodness mom and dad felt sorry for me and had some of these on hand….

Oh yes, I feasted! It’s the sad puppy eyes, they work every time. hehe.

  1. Oh Ammo, You will have to come up to Canada and live with me. I don’t bake cookies for pesky humans – I only bake cookies for doggies! All of my friends will attest to that!

  2. Hey AMMO, here is a recipe you can ask your mom to make and it is just for doggies. My dogs LOVE THEM!! I double the recipe and get about 12 dozen

2c. flour , 1 1/4c. shredded cheese, 6 fine chopped g. beans, 1 grated apple, 1/2c. veg oil ( I use 1/2 olive oil to make healthier), 7 TBSP water (can add bouillon) 1/2c bacon bits ( I did not have any this time so I uses organic peanut butter.)

Bake at 400* till solid golden brown to make crunchy. Roll 1/2″ thick. Can baste with the bouillon before or after baking (I don’t, they do fine.)

Because the instructions are a bit sketchy as far as size (like size of the apple, size of the green beans, etc.) the dough can be sticky. I kneed in the added flour and oil/flour the cookie sheet too. It give the biscuit a nice texture on the outside to that the dogs like.

Enjoy! I wrap them up a dozen in a cute bag with ribbon and give them as gifts to my guests here too!! 🙂

I ALSO have a recipie for cookies for the ponies… i will post it when i find it…:)

  3. Hey Ammo… here is the cookie recipe for your pony friends…:)

    The Best Horse Cookies everIngredients:
8 cups dry cob feed (corn, oats, barley mix)
    3 cups ground carrots
    1/2 cup corn oil
    2 cups flour
2 cups molasses (use livestock grade from a feed store – it is cheaper!)
DirectionsMix all the ingredients together in a large bowl until well mixed.
…Let stand for at least an hour (so the grain can absorb some of the moisture).
Stir the mixture well. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto a well oiled cookie sheet.
Using your fingers and the teaspoon ’smoosh’ the cookie into a round, slightly flattened shape.
Bake at 350° F for 12 to 18 minutes, depending on your oven. These will burn easily so be sure not to leave them in too long

Hope you and your pony friends ENJOY the cookie recipies…:) WHO says cookies are just for humans…:)
