One of the special treats my mom made me for my Birthday was a batch of “Birthday Bones”. And since you are all my party guests – I think you your pups deserve a little treat too! So break out the blender and mixing bowls here’s a simple recipe even I could make!
Birthday Bones
Ingredients:
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup unsalted natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder. Then mix in peanut butter and milk. Mix well.
3. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead. Roll out so that is is 1/4″ thick and cut out shapes using a cookie cutter.
4. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool, then store in an airtight container.
5. While you wait for cookies to cool, make sure you let your “helper” lick the peanut butter spoon.
Tada! Now you have delicious cookies for your favorite pup!
Thanks mom! I really loved my Birthday treats!

Thanks for the recipe, Ammo. I have volunteered to make pup treats for a bake sale at our annual party to celebrate how awesome our wiener dog rescue is. It is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It is called Dox-A-Palooza. I am definitely going to use this recipe. I so wish you lived in Florida so you could come.
Love,
Me

Gee Thanks!
These look so yummy and I love the photos!
Happy Birthday!!
Thanks! (they were yummy….I ate them all!)
I made these for my brother’s dog, Coco. He asked how long they would last. They are in a Ziploc bag.
They might keep longer if you store them in the fridge but I would say maybe up to 2 weeks.
I saved the recipe to my pinterest account. I need to start making them treats.
