Winter is here, and it has me thinking…..maybe I need some snow boots? Winter can be harsh on dog paws, especially with all the salt & snow on the ground. Now although I’ve never tried them before, I’ve rounded up a few boot styles from the All Dog Boots shop that I think look promising, even for stubby little dachshund feet.

We’ve used Pawz brand booties for both of our dogs for years. I swear by them, and wouldn’t use anything else. Our pomeranian Scooter has handicapped legs and these boots protect his feet from damage from the pavement on our walks. They’re great in winter to protect from the cold, and in summer to protect from the hot cement.
They’re not good to leave on for long periods of time b/c they don’t allow the feet to breathe so you do have to be responsible with them.
Usually a 12 pk lasts us a year so its a great price!
We also use a foot cream (not the same brand you’ve shared but I can’t think of it right now) that we rub on about 2x/month. It’s got a slightly minty scent but it keeps their feet from drying out and cracking. Great for all seasons and such an easy thing to care for your pups
Great tips! glad to hear the Pawz boots work well. If you you think of the name of the cream let me know incase others are looking for an option for their pets. Thanks for sharing!
Pawz boots really do work well. They do last but if you lose one or rip one there are more in the package. Also the bright colours make them easy to find if they fall off. Mine have never fallen off and my dog adjusted to them very quickly.
I have a mixed Terrier and dachshund and I am looking for booties not for the cold but we go to a lot of car shows and we need them to protect her feet from the hot asphalt.
