On a recent excursion I found myself at the King of Prussia Mall, right around dinner time I might add. Not one to pass up an opportunity to dine out with my family, I decided to try out one of the local dog friendly restaurants.
The Shake Shack is located just outside the mall, and has establishments in other states as well. I had heard rumors that they had a dog menu, so I couldn’t wait to try it out!
I waited patiently outside under our table while mom and dad went inside to check out the menu.
There was in fact a whole section of the menu dedicated to us furry four-legged patrons!
In collaboration with one of my favorite bakeries, Bocce’s Bakery, the Shake Shack offered up some tasty biscuits and frozen treats.
But alas, they were all sold out of both when mom and dad finally made it up to the counter to order!
There was no shortage of human food though and while my parents chowed down on hot dogs, burgers, fries and shakes, I was left staring at the table like this….
Don’t worry, when you look this cute you get your fair share of burgers and fries too!
I’ll just have to hit up the Shake Shack again soon to try out their doggie menu. What’s your dog’s favorite dog friendly restaurant? Share your favorites around the country in the comments below!
Oh Ammo, with a face like that, you’ll never go hungry!
Aww… Ammo you know mom and dad would never let that innocent face go hungry! Lol…my mom and dad always take me places with them for grub and its always such a blast to a real part of my family outings! Last week I went to Ms Shirley’s in Roland Park for breakfast and Red Brick Station for some homemade brewskis (across the street has a barkery..lol) and when I hit the ocean I even was allowed in Hooters! Woot woot…I got to whistle at the ladies!!!!! 😉 some real wolf whistles!…hahaha…the ladies loved me there! But Baltimore is very pet friendly and I get around a lot! There is a real cool Irish Restaurant onmthe water called the James Joyce that welcomes four legged children onmthe waters edge by the inner harbor! If youre ever south of PA come on down!
There’s an old time hut on route 34, just south of Mt. Holly Springs, PA. It’s called “the Twirly Top”. The have a doggie sundae with a twist of your favorite flavor in a bowl with a biscuit on top. Siss, our Doxie/beagle and Lily, our Sheltie/mix love the place!
Looks yummy ammo
Now I have to look to see where they are located. We don’t have any dog friendly restaurants here. 🙁
Well now, that looks good, but we don’t have one of those here in SC.
Hamburgers and fries
That’s a half-assed Chicago style dog. If you want a real Chicago-style dog, come to Chicagoland and go to any Portillos.
