Ever since I was 8 weeks old my buddy Trooper has been the dog I looked up to. He came to the shop with me everyday, where he was in charge of “training” me for the first year or so of my life. I like to think that I got my sassiness from Trooper himself, and I’m pretty sure these videos of a young puppy Trooper (before I knew him) hanging out at the shop totally prove my point!
P.S. Isn’t it amazing how much lighter Trooper’s coat was when he was a puppy? Now everyone just thinks he’s really old with his mostly black coat with bits of gray. (he’s only 7)

Two very nice videos of Trooper, he sure doesn’t look like the same dog, but I know all about that too, Molly is dapple, and she really looked like one when she was very little, as she got older she was losing almost all of her dapple, when I tell people that she is a dapple, and does NOT have a muddy spot on her side, they just look at me like, Yeah, sure!!!
Yup! Did you know I’m actually a red dapple too? My spots were more visible when I was little and do still come out in certain light. I even get lighter colored hair on my head when the sun bleaches my spots in the summer. Everyone always says I’m getting gray hair but I tell them it’s just my spots coming out!
