Thanksgiving may have been last week, but that doesn’t mean I’ve recovered from it just yet! Here’s just how I celebrated this year…
I kicked off my Thanksgiving with a trip to the farm – and as you can see I had snow on Turkey Day!
As lovely as I find the snow, I was thankful that Trooper’s new house has heat – because I was looking forward to being warm!
Trooper spent most of the Thanksgiving morning doing this – I suspect he just didn’t want to share his new Puller toys with me….but that’s ok, I’m still thankful for my best friend – even if he doesn’t like to share!
Eventually Trooper stepped away from his Puller hoarding to share some Canidae cookies with me, YUM!
And I had an obligatory Thanksgiving potty break. 🙂
Now even though we didn’t have a Thanksgiving meal at Trooper’s new house (as there is still lots of construction to be done), that didn’t stop me from hanging around in the kitchen.
Because regardless of wether there is food or not, the kitchen is where you’re supposed to be on Thanksgiving day!
Before I knew it though it was time to wave goodbye to my ponies and head off on my next Thanksgiving adventure.
At Mom Mom & Pop Pop’s house I started where I had left off at the farm….hanging around the kitchen.
Only this time there was an actual turkey!
Thanksgiving should be renamed “Torture Dogs with a Big Plate of Meat Day”, because it is TORTURE!
And even though I didn’t get to have more than a bite or two of turkey, I did get to enjoy my own feast complete with doggie stew that came with my Barkbox this month!
It comes at no surprise that my post turkey day self looked like this. But boy was it a good day with my family!Â
P.S. Don’t forget there is still time to order one of my Adventure Awaits T-shirts for Christmas and to benefit the Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue! Hurry before it’s too late!
Hi Ammo! Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving. I loved the pictures of you in the kitchen watching the turkey. You had the same intent stance that my dachshund Melanie would adopt whenever I was in the kitchen.
That’s where a dachshund’s meant to be!
You’re absolutely right! Do you hang out at your mom or Dad’s side when they are in the kitchen, ready to capture anything that escapes from the counter? My Melanie took her “vacuuming duties” very seriously.
