Disclaimer: This post and giveaway is brought to you by NuVet Labs®. All opinions are my own, and I only share products that I think you and your dog will love.
Vitamins, pills, supplements, those words alone are enough to strike fear into the hearts of many. Wether you’re a picky dog that can’t stand the taste of them, or an owner that is tired of your pet turning up a nose at the supplements you think will help them feel better, have no fear! I’ve found a product that not only is beneficial to your pet, but great tasting too!
NuVet Labs® has made it their mission help heal pets when they’re sick and then keep them healthy for years to come with their vitamins and supplements.
Their products are made in a FDA registered laboratory with natural, human-grade ingredients specially compounded to deliver the most effective nutritional health benefits. Utilizing the latest advances in medical and nutritional science, they apply state of the art manufacturing technologies to help maintain a standard of product quality and integrity that is virtually unheard of in the pet industry.
This time around I decided to test out NuJoint DS.
As you may recall, my best pal Trooper suffers from arthritis in his joints. While he’s never one to complain too much, a glucosamine joint supplement such as NuJoint DS can be great for his joint pain.
NuJoint DS supports optimal joint health and mobility, helping to keep your pet pain free for a longer, happier life.
Now the best part about the vitamins and supplements from NuVet is that you won’t need to hide these pills in peanut butter, stuff them inside cream cheese, or disguise them in your dog’s dinner, because these are the best tasting vitamins Trooper and I have ever had.
While this time around I let my buddy Trooper do all the actual taste testing (since I myself do not currently have arthritis), you can see by my desperate attempts to open the bottle that I was a bit jealous that he got to do the tasting.
In fact, they were so yummy (because they are flavored with real chicken liver) that Trooper used them as treats!
NuJoint DS has increased amounts of the active ingredients MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane), Glucosamine, and Chondroitin. It also includes Vitamin C which is required for the synthesis of collagen (a component of joint cartilage), and it can also reduce free radical damage to cartilage.
So if you’ve got a pet that could benefit from a joint supplement, or even a nutritional supplement then you might want to check out what NuVet has to offer!

My dog isn’t picky about the vitamins and supplements she takes as long as I put it inside a treat! (Entered with an “Amie De” Facebook account)
Ammo – Your mom is so clever! She can take a somewhat dry topic, like meds, and make it fun and cute with great pictures. Of course, having you and Trooper for models makes her job easier!
Nothing is ever boring when I’m involved! 😉
My doxie will be 10 in May. I am seriously going to consider starting here supplement now before she has too many problems. You and your mom always have helpful and interesting articles. Thank you.
10 is probably a good age to start looking into preventative supplements. In Trooper’s case the lab type breeds tend to have more joint issues earlier on in life. While I’m sure I will need to add one to my daily diet soon, preventative joint supplements are always a great idea!
Great photo! <3
Hiya Ammo!!! Thanks to you and your mom for bringing great products to our attention. Misty and Rio generally take any meds or supplements ok, sometimes they are a bit picky. Since they’re little ones like you, hopefully they won’t ever have any joint problems. But a good supplement is important for them and you, just like we humans take vitamins and supplements to keep us healthy too. Thanks again for the information and having the giveaway. Blessed be, hugs!!! Pam, Misty, and Rio
Thankfully he hasn’t needed to take very many pills in his life, but I have had to give pills to lots of foster puppies and dogs, and none of them are fans! I heard a tip somewhere about wrapping the pill in bread, which I have done with my dog, along with some peanut butter glue, and he loved it! He thought it was a huge treat, and was disappointed when the meds ran out and he didn’t get it anymore. ?
The truth about my dog Mike is that he is not picky about anything that he perceives as being edible, anything.
Neither of my two boys have taken pills or a supplement yet, but they do enjoy a little canned pumpkin when backed-up.
Bella has never taken any supplements before. I feel like I should start her on some. She’s about to be 7. However, she can be very picky about what she takes. It’s very hard to get her to take pills of any kind.
My moms dogs are both old and are in serious amounts of pain.So we tried using marijuana products like this https://www.gyo.green/ and CBD The one guys is so bad he will just sit there and shake most of the day and you tell they are both in a lot of pain, we recently started treating them with CBD and oh my god does it work, after one small dose my moms one dog stopped shaking for 3 days and both were in noticeably less pain for days after one dose of CBD compared to the prescription pain meds the vet gave them, we actually took them off those pain meds and have them running on pure CBD and the vets are amazed at how well it works so yes there is lots of research on the subject just like medical mj… the research is all there my friend all you have to do is a little research and you will find it.
