How we got here..
Ammo’s blog launched in 2010 after the popularity of his Facebook fan page began to take off. I loved sharing Ammo’s adventures in the hopes of bringing a little happy (and a whole lot of tail wagging) to this world, and that it did for 16+ years.
Ammo not only took on the role of one and only dog at home in Pennsylvania, but he also helped run my business as official store greeter at our small custom frame shop. When Ammo wasn’t busy saying hello to his adoring fans at the shop he was the sidekick to the talented Painting Ponies at the family farm. He loved to “horse around” with the ponies – sometimes performing tricks with them in their acts – and he had a pretty sweet super hero costume too!
As the years passed, and our family grew (adding two little human children to the mix) I took a step back from blogging, but continued to share Ammo and our lives through our social media pages. Ammo aged gracefully, but as all amazing adventures must eventually come to an end – we lost our beloved Ammo in November of 2024, just after his 16th Birthday.
While Ammo’s story may have ended there, his memory continues to live on through this blog and the adventures he lived and told. Our family wasn’t quite ready to let the story end there, so in December of 2024 we added a new little Dachshund puppy named Flip into our home. I continue to add to this blog in Ammo’s memory as time allows, but the bulk of our adventures are shared on our facebook and instagram pages now.
If you’re just finding us, or have been following for years, we hope our little page has brought you some joy, and as Ammo would say, Adventure Awaits!
