My First Pony

Boy, I had a busy weekend – so today I’m taking a little time to rest. Instead of posting about all my amazing adventures, I’m gonna show you a little Retro me action!

Here’s a few photos from my VERY FIRST visit to see the ponies when I was just a wee pup. It also happened to be my very first experience with snow.

As you can see it was love at first sight….on both accounts!

Trickery

My mom takes a lot of photos of me, like a way lot. I know it’s only because I’m so adorable she just can’t help it, but little did I know that I was in for some photo trickery!

I was just minding my own business at the farm when suddenly strange noises started coming out of mom’s iphone. Then BAM! mom snapped a photo of me!

Totally uncool.

See thanks to Pawsh Magazine, mom got to test out the new App for her iphone called Pet Pic (update- app no longer available). So instead of my usual bribes of biscuits & delectable treats to tempt me into having my photo taken – I’m being tricked by the alluring sound of squeaky toys and barking dogs. It’s just cruel!

I decided to do a little photo trickery myself. So I stole mom’s iphone and decided to test the Pet Pic App out on the ponies.

Looks like I’m not the only one who likes squeaky toys! Ha ha!

The best part is that the Pet Pic App makes kitty sounds too……hehe……oh Spider……I have a surprise for you……

Spider Monkey

Spider the kitten is like my little sister. She’s really fun to pick on and make fun of. Mom says it will come back to bite me in the butt someday. But until then I’m gonna torture her all I want!

Hey Spider……come here, I gotta tell you something….

…. “You look like a Monkey and smell like one too”…..hehe….

Ahhhh, run!

She’s coming to get me!

Yeah, that’s right – keep looking. You can’t find me because I’m the fastest wiener dog ever!

I know you’re plotting some sort of revenge against me. But if you promise not to claw me, I’ll TRY to stop eating your kitty food. I’ll try.

Love,

Your big bro

Ammo

P.S. Trooper says you smell like farts! hehe

Wet Paint

Wet Paint.

I should have known. When your day starts like this….

….. you will end up like this……

sigh.

My pal Minnow had a much more successful painting day than I did.

While he created 3 masterpieces (check them out here) I somehow ended up with blue paint in my mouth. Don’t ask.

At least I’m not the only one that requires a bath after painting day….

Judge

Don’t worry I didn’t have a court date (hehe they haven’t caught me yet). No, instead I was a judge this past weekend at a very prestigious horse show. Ok fine, I don’t know about prestigious, but it was definitely a lot of fun!

Very nice, I like the control.

One tail up for a job well done!

Gotta limber up before the next rider comes.

Just fantastic!

Ok, now that I’ve picked my winner where’s the milk bones I was promised? Did you really think I’d work for free?

Life on the Farm

Simple snapshots of life on the farm.

It’s quite simply my favorite place to be. Where’s your favorite place?

Happy Day o’ Digging

Digging Digging Digging.

Oh Happy Day. Digging Digging Digging.

Yet I get the feeling I’m not alone on this happy day of digging.

Hey Spider! I see you in there!

There’s no use hiding I can see you.

I knew you were spying on me!

Well if you’re gonna follow me, you might as well put those paws to some good use and help me DIG!

Leprechaun Gold

Remember when I went searching in the woods for gnomes, trolls, and leprechauns a few days ago with Trooper? Well I did it. I found the leprechaun hole! Leprechauns live in holes right?

This must be where the Leprechauns live, I can smell their gold!

I was soooo close to catching them. But they had it pretty well booby trapped with briers.

I decided I’ll have to come back when Trooper is around to help me. Unless his dainty paws can’t handle the thorns.

Mark my words Leprechauns, I’ll get my paws on that gold!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

P.S. If you find any Leprechauns today tell them I’m on to them, and I know where they live!

Woodland Creature

Ah the smell of the great outdoors! It’s right up there with the smell of dead animals, bacon, and ponies. Being a farm dog means that there is PLENTY to explore. With 20 glorious acres on the family farm, there is lots of untouched and uncharted territory for one short legged Dachshund like myself. So when mom asked me last week if I wanted to go exploring in the woods, what else can you say but, heck yes I do!

It’s been a while since I last explored me some woods out at the farm, so I kinda thought there might be a chance of finding some woodland creatures. Alas, no hidden gnomes or scary trolls in these parts. Not even a hint of leprechaun gold either! Drat.

Woodland creature hunting sure wore me out. Me and Trooper are already planning our next exploring trip. I told Trooper we need to get a super cool predator vision night goggle cam like our pal Baxter the Dachshund so we can catch those sneaky leprechauns when they come out at night. hehe.

My Shadow

Silently he follows me. No matter how hard I try I can’t shake him loose.

He sniffs everything I sniff and wags his tail at everything I wag at.

But he’s also really really good at…….

…..making me appear much bigger and tougher than I actually am.

Be scared, because my shadow’s got my back.
