Cricket and I are sad. Sad because something is missing.
It’s Spider the Kitten.
Mom says not to worry, because Spider just had to visit the vet for a few days to get spayed, and that she’ll be back before we know it.
So me and Cricket are going to sit and wait for our feisty little friend to return to the farm. Because things just aren’t the same without her.
P.S. Want to hear all about mom’s trip with Boomerang to the Horse World Expo? And their Extreme Cowboy Race Competition? Check out the ponie’s blog entry all about it HERE!
I don’t know what to think. Every time I come to the farm it seems like Boomerang is loosing more and more hair. Honestly, I’m a little scared I might be next!
Hang in there pal. I really hope it all grows back!
I have a shadow, as in a kitten shadow, as in Spider the Kitten.
See at the farm it’s MY JOB to help mom bring hay to the ponies! Well now that Spider is getting bigger, she’s trying to be just like me. I mean I know I’m pretty cool, but does she have to do everything I do?
What’s even worse is that she’s trying to show me up!
True, sometimes I get a little distracted from my duties.
It’s kinda hard not to get distracted when there are so many great smells.
But really Spider? Do you have to ride in the wheel barrel and help hand out hay? Come on. You’re making me look bad!
My mom is getting ready to go on a trip……without me! (Someone hold me) And what makes it even worse is that Boomerang gets to go and I don’t!
I have hatched a scheme to hideout in her suitcase, so we’ll see how that goes.
See, Boomerang and mom have been accepted to compete in the Extreme Cowboy Race at the Horse World Expo in Harrisburg, PA February 24 – 27th. I don’t really understand it because mom doesn’t even own a cowboy hat! Which reminds me, maybe if I get a cowboy hat and boots mom will let me come along.
Mom says she wishes very much I could come along, but apparently the Expo doesn’t allow dogs. Stupid if you ask me. What’s a cowboy without his best dog? Seriously.
So until my mom abandons me, I’ve been helping her get Boomerang ready for the big event.
Not trying to brag, but I pretty much taught Boomerang how to be an awesome cowboycowhorse bronco or whatever he’s supposed to be. After toting him around all over the county for the past Month and a half, I think he’s finally ready.
Just check out this video of Boomerang Practicing last weekend:
So I guess I’ll just have to hang with dad next week while mom’s gone. Boomerang better bring me back a trophy or something after all the hard work I put into training him…..or I’m gonna be peeved!
Also, mom, I expect presents upon your return. Thank you.

I’ll be the first to admit that rainy, wet, and cold weather are not my FAVORITE type of days. I’d much rather have a sunny/warm day to go sunbathing, chase bugs and play in the dirt.
So when we arrived at the farm on Tuesday morning, I’ll admit, I thought long and hard about crying until mom put me back in the car.
But then I remembered….
No. 1 …I’m not a Pansie
No. 2…There was no way I was gonna let a little sleeting rain and ice make me miss all the fun!
