So I’ve finally decided what I’m going to be for Halloween, but you’re going to have to wait just a little longer until I reveal it! Why is that? Well, not only do I love making you sit in suspense, but I also always go the DIY route when it comes to my costumes. Every year mom breaks out the sewing machine hot glue gun and helps me custom make something super unique…and totally me!
So while my own costume is going to take some time to get ready, I thought you might enjoy these 10 Awesome Handmade Pet Costumes that you could make for your pet too!
Have you ever handmade a costume for your dog? Post the pictures to my Facebook page because I’d LOVE to see it! (maybe you’ll even make next year’s DIY round-up!)
Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love getting to dress up as something I’m normally not. While I myself tend to go the DIY route when it comes to my costumes, it’s fun to browse through the store-bought options for inspiration and perhaps a little giggle too. So here’s my round-up of 10 Awesome Halloween Costumes for Dogs that I thought were pretty darn cool!
So, what is your dog going to be this Halloween? I’m still working on coming up with an idea for mine…..mom says I gotta hurry though if I want her help making it!
Typically on my Friday Fetch posts I like to share a cool pet product I’m lusting after, but this time I decided to share something different. Today I wanted to talk about the new pet adoption program with Ruffwear (one of my favorite adventure-dog gear sites) and the Best Friends Animal Society.
Check out the video below to find out more about this fantastic program:
You can find out more about the available dogs through the RAD Adoption Program by visiting the Ruffwear Facebook Page.
Even if you aren’t in a position to adopt a dog, you can still help! Share this post with your friends and spread the word about the amazing adoptable dogs out there!
Help dog’s find forever homes with the RAD Adoption Program.

It’s true, I’ve got a weakness for rope leashes. Combine that with a nice bright ombre color and I’m head over heals! So when I stumbled across Puppy Happy on Etsy I was in love. As a bonus they also sell some cute dog-inspired wood phone cases too! Check it out…
You can fetch these fun goodies and more from Puppy Happy on Etsy.

I’ve been a big fan of Silly Buddy Bowties for a long time now. In fact the first bowtie I ever owned came from Silly Buddy. So when I recently saw that they partnered with Jenny N. Design to make a line of matching purses I knew my mom would be lusting after one for Dog Mom’s Day.
I love that these bags also double as a fanny pack – perfect for walking your dog!
Read the full story about their collaboration and check out the entire line at Jenny N. Plus the great part is that with any purchase 5% will be donated to the Western Pa Humane Society.

I’m already a “GPS Dog”, with my trusty Trax collar that I love, but I couldn’t help but take notice of the new indiegogo campaign to fund Dogtelligent’s Connected Collar. The Connected Collar is a a proposed GPS Tracker, Activity Monitor, Safety Collar and Training Device all in one. Just check out the video below to see what it’s all about!
The most interesting thing to me was the ability for the Connected Collar to simulate a leash tug through vibrations – to perhaps keep your dog from running into traffic, or going too far from home. I can’t wait to see how these collars perform once they make it into production. There’s still 25 days to get involved with funding the Connected Collar into production, and eventually you’ll be able to fetch them from DogTelligent.

The Charley Chau online shop totally had me at “Snuggle Bed”. Seriously, what’s not to love about a faux fur lined dog bed that you can snuggle in? Not only that, but they also make luxury dog beds in other styles too!

The folks over at If It Barks have come up with a Design Your Own Dog Collar option where you can choose buckle styles, patterns and layers, sizes and materials – all to your specific liking. Seriously there are so many possibilities I think I would need a whole closet for collars!
