Last night I went to my agility class, and guess what?
I mastered the catwalk!
It’s actually quite fun once you get the hang of it.
So this is what it feels like to be 4′ tall, I could definitely get used to this!

On Monday I decided to take a break from every day life and head to the beach with some of my pony pals. We took a two hour ride down to Cape Henlopen in Delaware for a little romp by the seaside.
My pal Boomerang was so excited to get to the sand that he couldn’t even make it all the way to the beach before he excitedly began to roll around in it. He certainly knows how to have a good time, doesn’t he?
Boomerang and Blitz (the two pinto’s in the front) have the ocean in their blood – their parents (just like my pal Minnow) were born wild on Assateague Island in Virginia. They seem to feel right at home on the beach.
I may not have the ocean in my blood, but I was extremely excited about my trip to the beach.
This is my super excited crazy run that I do when I can hardly contain my excitement.
My ponies had a super excited crazy run too!
In fact it was so exciting that “Super Ammo” made an appearance!
“Super Ammo” really enjoyed protecting the beach from intruders – but wind & super capes don’t always mix.
The wind threatened to pick me up and blow me away!
Good thing my mom and the ponies saved me though – or I may have drifted out to sea.
Eventually I decided wind or not, I wasn’t going to let it spoil my trip to the Beach.
The “leash law” kept me from venturing too far out to sea, which is a shame because I had my inner tube packed in the car for just this occasion! Inner tube or not though, I had the best time at the beach with my friends and I’m counting the days until we can go back again.
Any other sea loving dogs out there? Or know of any other good dog beaches I could visit? I’m thinking I should take some surf lessons next time too! Yay!Â
Lately I’ve been coming in from the back yard looking like I was in a snow storm – covered in a dusting of white.
But not to worry, it still really is Spring here in Pennsylvania – and the reason for my snow storm-ish look lately – the glorious flowers are blooming!
In particular my peach tree in the back yard is blooming!
Now normally I’m not really a “pink” kind of guy, but I have to admit – the flowers are very pretty.
And not only do they look glorious, but they smell pretty good too.
Although, (to be fair) you probably shouldn’t take my word for it – considering I do like to munch on horse poop on occasion.
As much as I do enjoy a good old fashioned snow storm, my spring time “flower petal snow storms” are quite enjoyable too. And it just reminds me of how important it is to stop and smell the flowers on a daily basis, even if they don’t smell quite as delicious as horse manure.Â
Have I told you about my R.L. (that’s “real life”) Dachshund friend Leo?
He lives down the street from mom’s shop and is a feisty 7 month old black and tan mini doxie dude! (Although I hear he won’t be a “real dude” for much longer – sorry pal).
Arguably Leo is a lot younger than me (I’ve got 3 years on him), so I’ve decided to teach him the ways of the World. Don’t tell him I said so – but his hunting skills need a lot of work!
I’ve got a lot of work ahead to make Leo into my sidekick.
But I’m pretty sure with an excellent teacher like me he’ll have to turn out Super Awesome.
Homework assignment #1 for Leo: Eat all of your veggies so that you can “leap tall buildings in a single bound” just like me!Â
In Pennsylvania we’re having an early Spring this year. Even though today is the official first day of Spring, in the weeks leading up we’ve been having glorious 70 degree weather.
I’m all about this warm weather, which is why yesterday I decided to take a trip with my ponies to Marsh Creek State Park.
Blitz and Boomerang went for a little dip in the lake while I got to do some exploring.
Did you know that it smells like fish at the lake? I don’t know about you, but I LOVE fish.
Even though I really wanted to do some fishing, the water was a bit chilly for me.
I didn’t catch any fish this time, but I did find a stick. Highlight of my day!
I also found this neat rock.
And then I got really brave, and actually took a dip in the lake!
Next time I plan to bring a raft so I can float out just as far as the ponies can! And Boomerang promised me he’d learn how to use a fishing pole. I’m so excited!
Anyone else having an early Spring this year? Have you been on any Spring adventures yet? I’m already compiling my list of Summer activities that I want to do this year! Yipee!Â
I know technically it isn’t St. Patrick’s Day yet, and I’m really not Irish (although I do have pretty red hair), but I just couldn’t wait any longer to break out my green!
I was also secretly hoping that my “holiday spirit” would entice the Leprechauns to come out and play!
Remember last year when I came soooo close to getting my paws on some of the Leprechaun gold?
Well, this year I decided instead of hunting down the Leprechaun “den”, I’d let them come to me.
I have a feeling those Leprechauns know how to party! And maybe, just maybe, they’ll come party with me at my house.
And if they happen to bring some of their gold along with them – I definitely wouldn’t complain.
So come join the party Leprechauns! I’ve got kibble for everyone!Â
Yesterday I started my beginner agility class at Wagsworth Manor. So, knowing that I would need to get in shape beforehand, over the weekend I broke out my super cape to help me get the party started.
There is something about that little piece of fabric – that just makes you want to fly!
…and fly….
….and fly….
…and fly some more!
And it’s a good thing I did all that flying beforehand…..
…because this is all my classmates saw on my first day of agility class as I soured over the jumps, sped through the weaving poles, and dashed through the tunnel! I can’t wait until next week’s class!Â
It’s Spring on the farm, which means two things – 1. I don’t have to wear my coats! 2. The ponies are shedding! This may not sound very exciting to you, but when you don’t have to wear a coat – the Spring air puts a little wiggle in your wag. And when you have a little wiggle in your wag you find seemingly boring items (like shedded out pony hair) super fun. Just see for yourself…
Yay!
My Monday post today is a bit later than normal – and that’s because when I woke up this morning it was gorgeous outside! So nice in fact, that after spending all morning on the farm my best buddy Trooper came over to spend the afternoon with me.
We told jokes, and laughed and laughed.
And we looked for critters in the back yard.
Then we napped.
And napped.
And then we napped some more.
But I realized something after my afternoon with Trooper.
Napping is so much better when you implement the Buddy System.Â
Being a Super Hero means many different things. Not only do you have duties to uphold, but you also have to live by the Super Hero Code. And since you are my friends, I’m going to share with you the super top-secret Super Hero Code. Which means this is on a need-to know basis….and I better not find it all over Facebook! *wink*
Ammo’s Super Hero Code
1. You have to look extra dashing in your Super Hero cape (spandex tights are optional – as not everyone can pull those off).
2. You have to have a charming smile that makes everyone instantly fall in love with you. (This one’s for the ladies).
3. You need to be able to bark in the face of danger (growling can be substituted if need be), because Super Heroes can’t be weenies.
4. Your greatest weapon is your nose, and a great Super Hero can smell friend or foe from a mile away.
5. You need to have bulging muscles and the ability to think on your toes.
6. You have to be smart and courageous or at least hide the fact that you like to snuggle under the covers with your mom at night.
7. All Super Heroes like cookies. (and we’re never too proud to accept donations – please see my mailing address below) *wink*
8. You must never take yourself too seriously, and laugh everyday.
9. You must have a heart of gold
10. And most importantly….Super Heroes don’t have to clean their bedrooms, pick up their toys, or brush their teeth. Did you hear that mom? It’s in the code! *wink*
Now go forth and be Super everyday!
