Trooper and I have always been really competitive. We compete for pretty much everything including treats, toys, dinner, and who gets to eat the cat food first!
Most of the time I win at everything (I’m a dachshund, I was born a wienner!), but every once in a while something comes along that Trooper puts up a little more of a fight for! Check out the video below for proof….
See these nylon dog bones have tiny little holes on them that allow them to be filled with your dog’s favorite soft spread like peanut butter, cream cheese and more.
Trooper certainly put up a good fight for this one, but as you saw in the video, us dachshunds always win!

Ever since this Wireless Video Monitor from Vimtag showed up at my house last year I’ve found myself “in the doghouse” on several occasions. And since you guys seem to love hearing about my “bad dog” antics, I’m back with another installment of my recent “caught on camera” moments!
Now if you don’t remember, the Vimtag Wireless Monitor is a camera the connects to your homes Wifi and allows your parents to check up on you from anywhere they want via their smart phone. Yeah, so you can see why I’ve gotten caught in a few “sticky” situations lately.
Recently they caught me red handed….
When packages arrive at the house I don’t really care who they are addressed to, anything is fair game. I just assume even if it’s not meant for me I might find the contents inside useful anyway.
Too lazy to wander into the kitchen to find my water bowl, I’m totally not above taking a drink out of the convenient fountain in the bathroom. After all, it is closer to my giant dog bed in the master bedroom!
I couldn’t really deny any of these naughty acts when mom came home with time stamped images from the Vimtag App as proof…
P.S. While it’s not to say that I’m always a perfect angel, these “caught on camera” scenes are dramatizations all in the name of good fun! (Although I won’t say I’ve never been caught doing something I shouldn’t!)

When you’re a dog it can sometimes be difficult to communicate to the humans exactly what you want. While we might not be able to speak in the true sense, we have become rather creative in expressing what we like and dislike to our humans.
That’s exactly what happened when these new TRU harvest® treats from Walmart recently showed up at the farm!
See these brand new treats are made with Ancient Grains (Barley, Spelt, and Quinoa), which are naturally low in fat and contain more nutrients than common grains. They also contain NO corn, soy, wheat, artificial colors or flavors, or poultry by-products. And the very first ingredient is REAL meat….real meat you say….
Mom got Trooper and I drooling by first tempting us with TRU harvest® with Ancient Grains Chewy Bars with barley, spelt & quinoa. They come in a Chicken, Cheese, & Tomato Flavor or the Turkey & Cranberry Flavor.
Then as if that weren’t enough she whipped out the TRU harvest® with Ancient Grains Wavy Strips with barley, spelt & quinoa! They also come in two flavors, Chicken & Sweet Potato or Turkey & Pumpkin.
To make things worse, Trooper and his tall self stole a bite before I even got to taste them! The nerve!
It was finally time to break out the big guns and exercise my right to freedom of speech. Mom was going to surely know EXACTLY what I wanted this time!
And from what I hear, I’m not the only one begging for more of these treats…just check out the video below….
I’ll be honest, the dogs in that video are pretty good at telling their humans what they want, but they’ve got nothing on Trooper and I…
Ok, well Trooper is a bit of a lost soul, but I’m pretty darn good at expressing myself!
So if you don’t want to be the victim of your dog’s communication skills, then you might want to grab them some TRU harvest® Dog Treats with Ancient Grains, found exclusively at Walmart.
You can save $1.00 off your next TRU harvest® with Ancient Grains dog treats purchase at Walmart. Just click here for coupon.
What do you think your dog would do to let you know they want to try a bite of the TRU harvest® treats?
Being a farm dog means your guard dog duties never end.
Even as darkness begins to fall Trooper always takes his watch dog post with pride.
Although the job is always a little more bearable with friends, so I’m always ready to join him for the Night’s Watch.
“Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night’s Watch, for this night and all the nights to come.“
Well, it’s a good thing Trooper and I are already neutered!
P.S. Thanks to our pals at Glowdoggie for keeping us Night Watchdogs safe in the dark. Mention code AMMO at checkout for a $5 refund on your next order (US only)
Disclaimer: this post and giveaway are brought to you by Bark Solution. All opinions are my own, and I only share products I think you and your dog will love.
As a dog, the only real way I have to express myself is by barking. Sometimes I bark because I want something, sometimes I bark to protect my friends and family, and sometimes I bark just because I feel like it. (This is my barking face BTW, incase you were wondering).
So I thought it would be fun to share with you a compilation video my mom made over the past few months of me barking at things. Mom says sometimes my barking is cute, and sometimes she wishes I’d put a cork in it, but I’ll let you be the judge if it’s really that obnoxious…
So for those times that my barking gets a bit out of hand, mom has been using the humane anti-barking solution, Bark Solution (it’s that noisy little can you hear my mom shaking near the end of the video).
So if you’re looking for a way to humanely cut down on the amount of barking your dog does (without having to use harsh products or spending your day yelling at your dog), then you might want to check out Bark Solution. You can also purchase this product on Amazon.
Now for the best part….

You guys had so much fun seeing me “caught on camera” last month that I’m back with another installment! You may remember that the Vimtag Wireless Video Monitor System showed up at my house a month or so ago. Well, ever since it’s arrival I’ve found myself getting into a little more trouble than usual.
Since the Vimtag camera lets my parents check up on me 24/7 via their smartphones I pretty much can’t get away with anything anymore. And I was really hoping they wouldn’t find out about a few things…
Until the Vimtag camera came along mom and dad had no idea that I like to get a little “frisky” with a certain someone’s pillow when they are gone. (sorry dad, I thought you’d never see this!).
I mean, do you really blame me, magazines are way more fun to play with than dog toys!
It’s really hard to deny these little indiscretions when mom had physical proof in the form of timestamped pictures from Vimtag….

Since February is the month dedicated to dental care for pets I thought it would be fun to check out all the ways I’ve kept up with my oral health over the years. #NationalPetOralHealthCareMonth
The Emmi-Pet is an electric dental tooth brush designed for pets that cleans teeth without the need of vibration. While I found this to be a great tool, I sort of fell off the wagon when it came to keeping up with brushing regularly (I know, shame on me). Fetch the Emmi-Pet Toothbrush.
I tried the Tropiclean Teeth Gel for a time, it’s a great way to add some cleaning power to your dog’s teeth without the need to use a toothbrush. You can even spread it onto your dog’s chew toys. I did thoroughly enjoy this cleaning method, but again I wasn’t great about keeping up with a routine. Fetch the Tropiclean Teeth Gel.
Mom even used a pet dental scraper on me. This is a great way to remove plaque buildup, and something I still have done on occasion when my plaque buildup gets noticeable. Fetch a Pet Dental Scraper.
Dental Chews are another great way to fight plaque if your dog likes to chew on them. I tend to be really interested in them at first, but eventually loose interest in the toys after a few weeks. One of my favorite chew toys that I have remained in is the Benebone which encourages me to chew on a regular basis (and I use it almost every night). Fetch a Benebone Dental Chew.
My absolute favorite way to keep my teeth looking sparkly is with dental chews. Lately I’ve been snacking on these Zuke’s Z-Bones Dental Chews from Chewy.com. Seriously what’s better than cleaning your teeth by eating something delicious!
Key Benefits of Zuke’s Z-Bones in Clean Berry Crisp
Potato and pea-based formula which is highly digestible
Alfalfa, parsley, rosemary, and fennel naturally freshen breath by supporting digestion
Helps polish teeth, freshen breath, and maintain healthy gums
Nutrient-rich cherries are a powerful source of antioxidants
Available in four sizes to accommodate all dogs 10 lbs or larger
So while I’ll continue to do my best in keeping my teeth healthy and clean, I most certainly won’t give up my daily dental chews…..it’s my favorite part of the day!
Grab some Zuke’s Z-Bones from my friends at Chewy.com! #ChewyInfluencer

You might recall that this funny looking device, the Vimtag Wireless Video Monitor System, showed up at my house a month or so ago. Well, ever since it’s arrival I’ve found myself getting into a little more trouble than usual.
You see, this camera allows my mom to check up on me from her smart phone any time she wants, and lets just say that there were a few things I was hoping she wouldn’t find out about….
I tried to deny my involvement in both of these incidents, but darn it, if that Vimtag camera didn’t totally rat me out…

Thank goodness eating healthy tastes so good too!
TruFood uses Grain Free fiber such as chickpeas, flaxseed and lentils that pets may digest better. Powerful superfoods such as beets, blueberries, and cranberries to help maintain a healthy weight and support the immune system.
TruFood recipes also contain pumpkin, ginger and turmeric and live yogurt cultures to help support a healthy digestive system. Mom had been reading more about the benefits of turmeric in preventing cancer in dogs among many other things, so I was excited to learn that Wellness TruFood contains this in their line too.
I plan to have many more adventures ahead thanks to healthy eating, and a whole lot of love!
