Today is Memorial Day and I wanted to stop in and say thank you to all the soldiers out there. It’s important to remember those have fallen to protect our country and those who continue to protect us. So thanks to all who serve, including those of the 4-legged variety!

In keeping up with my yearly tradition I’ve decided to take a look back over the goals I made for myself last year to see how I did! I’ve also come up with a new list of goals for 2014 that will hopefully keep me on my toes!
My 2013 Goals:
1. Create some more greeting card designs for my Flying Hero Etsy Shop
Not only did I come up with a fun new Holiday card this year, but I just finished designing a whole bunch of new cards that will be available in my shop this week! Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to share my new designs with everyone just as soon as they are ready!
2. Master the weave poles for my agility classes
I’m proud to say that I officially mastered the weave poles this past year! Yay! I even worked up to weaving 12 poles at a time.
3. Compete in an agility trial
Technically I didn’t compete in an agility trial this past year, but I did get to run a new course in a new location during the Fair Hill International Event in Maryland.
4. Learn a performance that I can perform on my own at events
I practiced and practiced and performed my very own trick skit during the Spring Doxie Fest last year in support of the Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue! It was a lot of fun and I think everyone enjoyed it!
5. Make every day count!
Looking back over everything I’ve done this past year I think I have this goal down! From trips to the beach, road tripping, paddleboarding, and enjoyable days on the farm – I packed in as much as I could this past year and it was such a blast!

My DIY Christmas Eve Outfit from last year made their 31 Days of Free Winter Fun guide.
They even posted my full tutorial on their blog. Next thing you know I’ll be in the tabloids – “Ammo the Dachshund seen roaming the streets in the nude”. 🙂
My 5th Birthday landed on Saturday this year, and while you probably already saw what I had fun unwrapping, there was one other special gift from my best friend Trooper that I wanted to share with you!
Thoughtful Trooper gifted me a box of bake at home dog cookies from Dog Joy. I was just dying to bake these all natural oatmeal and peanut butter cookies, so on Saturday night mom helped me pop them into the oven.
After putting them on a baking sheet and popping them in the oven I had to wait an unbearably long ten minutes for them to cook. It was torture I tell you.
But when they popped out of the oven smelling of peanut butter goodness it was totally worth the wait! Thanks to my pal Trooper for making sure my tummy never goes hungry!
On this Memorial Day I am remembering the fallen soldiers who have fought for my country. Thanks to those who have given their lives to protect us, and not to forget the many four-legged soldiers as well.

Today is Mother’s Day, and I just wanted to pop in to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there! Whether you’re a mom to a four-legged kid or a two-legged kid (or both), I wanted to tell you that you are great!
You mom’s are the real super heroes of the World, and without you we’d all be lost!
So I’m sending some happy tail wags to all of the mom’s today, even those who are no longer with us. Know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts and we love you more every day!

I’ve always been a little scrappy from the very beginning. It all started with the wrestling matches I shared with my best friend Trooper.
Mostly I was the instigator, and boy did we love to wrestle (and still do). But for as hard as we fight…..
….we always love each other at the end of the day!
