Adventures of Ammo + Baby P: Vol. 5

Time seems to be moving much too quickly, because Baby P is now 5 months old! Can you believe it?

Adventures of Ammo + Baby P: Vol 5

So much has changed since Little P first arrived home, and now she’s drooling and attempting to eat pretty much anything she can get her hands on. I’m so proud, I taught her well.

Adventures of Ammo + Baby P: Vol 5

She’s really taken a liking to me (what’s not to like, I’m the coolest dog ever), and I’m really starting to enjoy her giggly happy squeals when she sees me. In fact, I even get to claim credit for Baby P’s first TRUE belly laugh!

Adventures of Ammo + Baby P: Vol 5

Don’t grow up too fast Baby P, I still have lots of things about the World to teach you!

Dapper Dog Goes to Wedding Shower

Disclaimer: This post is sponsored by Le Petite Canine. All opinions are my own, and I only share products I think you and your pets will love.

While admittedly it seems like so very long ago that I went on my Thanksgiving vacation to Charleston, South Carolina, I just couldn’t let anymore time past before I shared some of my amazingly fun adventures with you.

Engagement Party in Charleston

See not only was I headed to South Carolina for vacation and fun with my family, but I also was invited to my very first wedding shower!

See this summer, my Aunt Laurel & Uncle Don are tying the knot! (and I’m secretly hoping I’m invited to that too! *hint*hint)

Engagement Party in Charleston

Of course long before I even arrived in Charleston I was already planning my wedding shower outfit, because if memory served me correctly….Charleston is home to the southern gentlemen!

Engagement Party in Charleston

Thanks to my friends over at Le Petite Canine I had the perfect collar and bowtie to wear to such an occasion. The Jaq Collar is just what I needed to get spiffy. Now if this doesn’t say southern gentlemen than I don’t know what does!?

Engagement Party in Charleston

With my Wedding Shower outfit on point I was totally ready to welcome everyone to the festivities.

Engagement Party in Charleston

When all the guests arrived we had a blast playing games, opening presents, and stuffing our faces with food.

Engagement Party in Charleston

Well, ok I guess “most” of us did. Apparently us southern gentlemen have to beg for leftovers. I mean seriously, what gives?

Engagement Party in Charleston

I was beginning to wonder if anyone even noticed I was at the party at all!

Engagement Party in Charleston

I shouldn’t have worried though, my stunning good looks never fail, because Aunt Laurel said I was her favorite fur-nephew at the party! (never mind that I’m her ONLY fur-nephew!) Aww, shucks!

Engagement Party in Charleston

By the end of the day I was totally exhausted. Being a southern gentlemen is hard work, but nothing a little cat nap can’t fix!

You can make sure your dog looks extra dapper for their next big party by stopping by Le Petite Canine and using code AMMO20 for 20% off your order!

P.S. Stay tuned, because the rest of my South Carolina adventures will be coming at you soon!Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

Christmas Memories

Christmas Memories

Well, Christmas at my house came and went, and it was a fantastic whirlwind of wrapping paper, family and plenty of fun! And since I know you don’t want to feel like you missed the fun, I decided to share a recap of all my adventures.

Christmas Memories

This year of course was extra special because I got to share my Christmas morning with my new little sister, Baby P.

Christmas Memories

I helped her open all her presents from Santa, and explained to her why we aren’t supposed to be super excited when we get socks in our stocking. (although I’m pretty sure that lecture when right over her head!)

Christmas Memories

And then I helped Baby P open a very interesting present….

Christmas Memories

….it was another me!!!

I wasn’t really sure how I felt about it at first. I mean was Santa trying to replace me?

Christmas Memories

But as the day went on I realized he wasn’t all that bad. I mean after all we now out number the babies in this house….which means when it comes to take a vote on whether we go to shopping at Petco vs. Babies R’ Us me and my little sidekick here will win every time!

Christmas Memories

Christmas morning at my house was full of wonderful memories. And in case you are wondering, yes, I got lots of presents from Santa!

Christmas Memories

Christmas didn’t end there though, because my family and I were off to celebrate with all of our extended family. We ate, exchanged gifts, and created even more memories.

Christmas Memories

And when my cousins got into town, you know things got crazy!

Christmas Memories

And that my friends, is another Christmas come and gone! Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

What about you? What was your favorite Christmas memory this year?

You Don’t Need a Tissue When you have a Dog

You Don't Need a Tissue when you have a dog

From day 1 my sister has been infatuated with me. It’s probably my stunning good looks, and my spitfire personality that does it, or perhaps I guess it might be because I look like a giant stuffed animal.

You Don't Need a Tissue when you have a dog

And I’ve loved her from the start too, maybe because she looks like a big stuffed animal sometimes too!

Whatever the case may be, we’re both thick as thieves. So when my sister needs something, I’m going to be there for her. In this case it was a tissue…..and I was more than happy to oblige….

I just hope you repay the favor someday Baby P! Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

Happy Holidays

12 Days of Cheer! Merry Christmas from Ammo the Dachshund

Hitch up my sleigh! Because Santa is taking a little too long to get here, so I’m taking matters into my own hands!

Holiday Tidings

Baby P and I are going to take a little blogging break to enjoy some time with family until after the new year. Don’t worry, we’ll be back to share all the fun we had!

Happy Valentine's Day // Ammo the Dachshund

Before I head off on some holiday fun with my family, I wanted to say Thank You! Thank you for reading my blog, leaving me comments (which I do read all of them), and sharing in the love of all my fun. I never thought that 6 years later I would still be writing this blog for all of you! It’s been a wild adventure, and I’m glad you’ve been here to share in all of it.

Here’s to 2017! Yippee! Ammo the Dachshund // Blog Signature // Celebrity

A Parading We Will Go

Holiday Christmas Parade

A few weekends ago I took Baby P on a very special outing. I took her to her very first Christmas parade!

Holiday Christmas Parade

Holiday Christmas Parade

The real reason I’m always in attendance of my town’s holiday parade is to entertain the customers at our shop. I always do a pretty good job of that (nobody’s better than me at playing dead), and this year Baby P even helped me out by squealing and dancing for all the visitors too (only my camera crew missed catching that, shame on them). It was nice to have a little extra help, entertaining customers is hard work!

Holiday Christmas Parade

But after our duties at the shop (and more than a few diaper changes for Baby P), we hit the streets to watch the parade.

Holiday Christmas Parade

Holiday Christmas Parade

Fire trucks and flashing lights are always a favorite for me and now my sister too, but the music really gets us in the Christmas mood!

Holiday Christmas Parade

I was super excited to see some fellow low riders in the parade! Although I’m pretty sure I totally had them out dressed!

Holiday Christmas Parade

Baby P though, she got to wave to Santa! I admit, I was a bit jealous, but then I remembered that I’ve had 8 years of Santa visiting my house just for me, so I felt a little better about sharing Santa with my sister this year. Overall we had a blast at the Holiday Parade this year, and I can’t wait until next year when my sister will be running around at it with me!

Only 3 more sleeps until I get to see what Santa brings me under the tree! I can’t wait!

Light Therapy for Pets + A Giveaway

Disclaimer: This post and giveaway is brought to you by LumaSoothe. All opinions are my own, and I only share products I think you and your pets will love.

Light Therapy for Dogs

Trooper and I were recently introduced to something new by our pals at Luma-Tech. See Luma-Tech makes LumaSoothe, a Light Therapy Treatment for Pets. What exactly is that? Well my friends, it’s basically a special light that is used to heal!

Light Therapy for Dogs

LumaSoothe provides pain relief from deep joint & muscle related issues such as arthritis while also treating your pet’s skin & surface conditions such as Wounds, Eczema, and Hair loss. Since I don’t have any of those issues (lucky me right), the logical thing to do was to let my old pal Trooper be the tester on this one. Just look at his sweet old face…he’s perfect (just don’t remind him that he’s really just a year older than me). Trooper does have that worldly old look about him, and he does sadly have arthritis in his elbows, and has for quite some time.

Winter Storm Jonas on the Farm with Ammo the Dachshund

Trooper never lets his arthritis slow him down though (he does have to keep up with me after all), and he lives quite a vigorous life on the farm. Over the years he’s done lots of things to keep himself feeling youthful including joint supplements, so light therapy seemed like a great thing to add to his regime to keep him ready to take on the world.

Light Therapy for Dogs

Trooper’s arthritis comes and goes in the form of a limp, and when he happened to start this light therapy experiment several weeks ago he wasn’t limping at the time.

Light Therapy for Dogs

Every evening before bed Trooper gets a 15 minute session with LumaSoothe. It comes with two different lighted heads on each unit, one for treating deep issues like arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis, hip dysplasia, sprains & strains, back pain, deep surgical wounds, and deep muscle soreness – while the other treats surface issues like eczema, chronic pain, promotes hair growth and healthier skin too. Trooper has been testing out the deep treatment light for the past several weeks in the hopes that it will keep his arthritis pain at bay.

Light Therapy for Dogs

I of course was right by his side to lend moral support, and the best news is that Trooper’s limp has not returned the entire time he’s been testing out the LumaSoothe.

Light Therapy for Dogs

In fact, Trooper enjoyed the treatments so much on his joints that he tends to fall asleep during them. I might have been a bit jealous.

Light Therapy for Dogs

Light Therapy for Dogs

Regardless of my jealousy I’m just glad my pal is feeling good.

Light Therapy for Dogs

LumaSoothe triggers cellular stimulation which helps relieve pain, reduce inflammation, increase blood circulation as well as cellular rejuvenation, so if you’re looking for something to help your pet with chronic pain or skin issues, you may want to check it out.

You can see the full list of what LumaSoothe can treat on their website.

And now for the best part….

A Very Merry Christmas with the Jolly Guy

Just before Thanksgiving I went on a special adventure to visit Santa! Now I know what you’re thinking, visiting Santa before Thanksgiving? But hey….

A Very Merry Christmas

…no lines! And when you have your little baby sister with you, no lines is a good thing!

A Very Merry Christmas

That’s right, this was Baby P’s first time visiting with Santa. And you know I taught her well when the first thing she did was to tug on Santa’s beard to make sure it was real. You can never be too careful these days!

A Very Merry Christmas

And if you’re thinking I let Baby P have all the fun, you would be mistaken. I NEVER pass up the opportunity to tell a jolly man in a red suit EXACTLY what I want for Christmas!

A Very Merry Christmas

Next year Baby P and I need to work on our smiles. (It’s always hard to concentrate on picture taking when you’re trying to remember your Christmas wish list). We’ll get there.

It was fun to actually have a buddy to visit Santa with this year, after all, for the past 8 years I’ve been doing it solo. Santa is always more fun with friends!
