Recently I went to my annual vet check-up, and while I got a clean bill of health (yay!), my vet did suggest I get back on the teeth brushing bandwagon.

Truth be told, I sort of fell off that bandwagon a while ago. I know, shame on me.

While I wouldn’t consider myself a “difficult” patient when it comes to teeth brushing, it’s not exactly easy to brush them.

I blame it on a tiny little mouth, and the fact that I have these clumsy paws. It just ends up being sort of awkward.

So when my friends over at Chewy.com sent me some of these TropiClean Fresh Breath +Plus Advanced Cleaning System Dental Dog Treats I was excited to try something yummy to clean my teeth instead.

Since mom always checks the ingredients on my treats first she was glad to see they were safe: Potato Starch, Tapioca Starch, Glycerin, Dried Beet Pulp, Natural Chicken Flavor, Cane Molasses, Chicken, Gelatin, Ground Flaxseed, Water, Poultry Fat (Preserved with mix tocopherols) Sodium Bicarbonate, Lecithin,  Parsley Flakes, Green Tea Extract, Sorbic Aced (preservative), Blueberry Powder, Vitamin E Supplement, Zinc Proteinate, Rosemary Extract.

Only time will tell if these chews will help to clean up my teeth, but I’m going to try my hardest to keep up with the regime, especially since it tastes so good!

Summer at the Pool

Hot summer days are always best spent by the pool, which is exactly where I headed last weekend!

I took some relaxing raft rides.

I even worked on my tan.

But what I was most excited for was to dig into this month’s Barkbox!

Mom took some great videos of me enjoying my Barkbox poolside, unfortunately the computer decided the videos looked way too yummy to share and ate them all! So instead I’ll have to share my pool adventures with you via photographs. Hopefully you won’t be as sad about it as I am.

So after digging into my Barkbox I decided to break open the Louisiana Crab Jerky, because everyone knows you have to eat crab when you lounge by the pool.

I even chowed down on these PetSafe Indigo Chews, which tasted just as yummy even though mom says they are supposed to boost my antioxidants and clean my teeth all at the same time!

In fact I was having so much fun with my Barkbox that I decided to take it out to sea with me. Dad may or may not have had to save me when I drifted a bit too far.

Sadly we had an incident on the water though, as Mr. Whale forgot to wear his life vest and took a tumble into the pool.

Not to worry though, I’m an expert life guard – and wasted no time in rushing to his rescue.

I spotted these Dog Rocks recently and thought they were quite an interesting product. They are a 100% natural prevention & cure to canine lawn urine burn patches.
