One of my favorite days of the month is BarkBox day. The day when my monthly subscription of goodies arrives at my door.
Everything is always so yummy and fun to play with that I can hardly wait to dive right in. It’s seriously THE BEST DAY EVER.
That is until my mom says it’s time for bed! This is what my face looks like when I’m told I’ll have to hold off playing with my Barkbox until tomorrow. I call it the “what the what?” face.
So reluctantly I get into bed, with my full Super Hero outfit on of course, because real Super Heroes are always ready at a moments notice.
I fight dreamland for as long as I can, when I suddenly remember….
“Dad! You forgot to read me my bedtime story!!”
Super Heroes can’t go to bed without a bedtime story!
Thankfully my Dad obliges, and reads me my favorite book, SuperDog; The Heart of a Hero. (which by the way, I love this book so much that I even helped read it to an elementary school class).
The adventures of Dex the Dachshund drift me off to dreamland and I have visions of saving cats from trees, and helping old ladies cross the street.
The sandman is about to pay a visit to me, when I suddenly remember…
I can’t possibly go to bed without the Star Stuffie that came in my BarkBox! What if he gets scared in that box all by himself at night?
And you know what Dad, Mr. Star missed the whole SuperDog story, so you’re going to have to read it again!
Goodnight sweet friends! Hopefully the world will continue to be a safe place even while this hero is getting some shut eye.
And incase you’re wondering, my BarkBox was still waiting for me the next day when I woke up!
If you’d like to fetch your dog a reason to fight bedtime too, you can grab a subscription to BarkBox with code AMMO for 10% OFF!
You can also snag a FREE Bully Stick (my favorite) from the BarkShop for all orders with code AMMO.
Does your dog have a hard time falling asleep when they get new toys too? I’m always trying to sneak toys into my bed at night!
