Sometimes on shopping trips I start to get that feeling when my feet start dragging, I want to lay down and take a nap, and I just can’t shop ANYMORE.

My little sister gets that feeling too, but she knows exactly what to do to make sure we all can keep going!

Snacks! And since our mom is always prepared with goodies to eat, we never have to worry about the dreaded shopping sleepies.

So while my sister snacked away and warded off those shopping sleepies I started to wonder if I was going to get my little pick-me-up.

Sigh. It was looking like I’d have to make it through this trip to Lowes without a snack.

But then, as luck would have it, a tiny little hand appeared over the edge of the shopping cart.

Crisis averted. Goodbye shopping sleepies, hello crackers! I’m ready to go another 5 hours (ok well maybe just another 30 minutes).

Over the weekend I took a trip with my family to my favorite dog friendly home improvement store.

As with many trips to the home improvement store, I wouldn’t exactly call it thrilling.

Shopping for all the things necessary for a future kitchen remodel at my house is enough to bore a dog to sleep (as if my big yawn wasn’t clue enough).

Eventually I convinced mom and dad that if they let me out of the cart our trip would be much easier – since I’m great at sniffing out deals!

Little did I know that once out of the cart mom would make me practice my sit/stays and healing. I guess a working dog’s work is never done!

Eventually we made our way over to the kitchen appliances and I was ecstatic to see that the new trend in fridges were easy to reach and easy to open – perfect for little dogs with short little legs!

Despite my desperate pleas that we must upgrade our fridge to one of these, mom and dad said I have to save a lot more pennies before we can afford to buy one of them. Darn! Just when I had figured out where I plan to store all my hot dogs. At least a dog can dream.

What we did come home with was a new dishwasher (on account of mine has been leaking all over the floor….and mom and dad got tired of chasing me around the house after the towels that were supposed to be keeping the floor dry….hehe).

Although honestly I don’t see the point, considering I’m the absolute best dishwasher they are ever going to find!Ammo the Dachshund

Ok, I admit it, I’m a bit of a shopping addict. I love scouring the internet for the latest and greatest trendy products – and I love bringing you my Friday Fetch feature every Friday, where I share some of my favorite finds.

The most asked question on the blog seems to be “where did you get that” (It’s because I’m so stylish right?), so I decided to add an “I’m Digging” section to the blog – right there on the sidebar. Here I’ll feature some of my favorite products from my Amazon Affiliate Shop – some of which I own and love, and others that are on my wish list.

So even though you all can’t ride in the shopping cart with me, you can still be just as cool.

I take cool to a whole new level don’t I?

Lumber Yard

It seems that around my house a dog’s day is never done.

Just when I think it’s time to punch out for the day – here we are headed to Lowes for lumber……until 9pm at night! Thank goodness mom felt sorry for me and let me sleep in the car…..

……instead of having to ride around in the shopping cart…..or even worse…..

…inside mom’s purse!

I was really hoping all the new lumber was for something really cool, like a dog house or a firetruck! But alas, mom says it’s to build garden boxes and the rest of dad’s workbench.

Really? We had to go to Lowes at 9pm for that? Just wake me when we make a pit-stop at Petco please.

 

 

Attention Shoppers

Attention shoppers….will someone please tell me why none of these dog toys seem to have squeakers inside? I thought the squeaker was a staple in dog toys?

Where’s the stuffing I can rip out, or the bones I can gnaw on?

I’m starting to regret saying I’d come on this shopping trip.

Mom, Dad, if you are reading this….I do not appreciate random trips to the store, when all we come back with is a very large piece of wood. Seriously. I could have been napping somewhere or chasing Leprechauns on the farm with Trooper. I am not amused. Try harder next time.
