I don’t know what to think. Every time I come to the farm it seems like Boomerang is loosing more and more hair. Honestly, I’m a little scared I might be next!
Hang in there pal. I really hope it all grows back!

Yesterday we got more snow. It was fantastic. Everything smells different when it snows.
It’s like I get to re-sniff everything I sniffed before. Even my pal Spider the Kitten likes the snow.
I pretty much taught her everything she knows.
Now if you will excuse me, I have to get back to exploring my new world.
My mom is getting ready to go on a trip……without me! (Someone hold me) And what makes it even worse is that Boomerang gets to go and I don’t!
I have hatched a scheme to hideout in her suitcase, so we’ll see how that goes.
See, Boomerang and mom have been accepted to compete in the Extreme Cowboy Race at the Horse World Expo in Harrisburg, PA February 24 – 27th. I don’t really understand it because mom doesn’t even own a cowboy hat! Which reminds me, maybe if I get a cowboy hat and boots mom will let me come along.
Mom says she wishes very much I could come along, but apparently the Expo doesn’t allow dogs. Stupid if you ask me. What’s a cowboy without his best dog? Seriously.
So until my mom abandons me, I’ve been helping her get Boomerang ready for the big event.
Not trying to brag, but I pretty much taught Boomerang how to be an awesome cowboy cowhorse bronco or whatever he’s supposed to be. After toting him around all over the county for the past Month and a half, I think he’s finally ready.
Just check out this video of Boomerang Practicing last weekend:
So I guess I’ll just have to hang with dad next week while mom’s gone. Boomerang better bring me back a trophy or something after all the hard work I put into training him…..or I’m gonna be peeved!
Also, mom, I expect presents upon your return. Thank you.

My snow day recap…..
Me: I will Blitz! Just as soon as I get my snow suit on!
Blitz: But me and Boomer have already started having fun without you!
Me: Nooooo! I’m coming! Don’t have anymore fun without me!
Me: I’d be there faster if you came and helped me dig myself out!
Sigh.
Sometimes I just miss out on all the fun!
I’m all for helping train the trick ponies, I really am. But sometimes, sometimes, you just have to steal the show.
🙂
Winter. It’s not a lot of fun. Ok wait, there are some fun parts about it. Like snow, roasting by the fire, Christmas, and hibernating.
What isn’t so fun……the need to wear multiple winter coats just to keep warm when I’m at the farm. It totally throws off my Rock n’ Roll persona when I’m reduced to waddling around everywhere I go!
I can’t even get a good roll in!

Like I REALLY REALLY REALLY love ponies! I mean come on, what’s not to love?
I think it’s those fuzzy, warm pony noses. It’s just totally unfair that dogs have to have cold, wet, puppy noses. Makes us have to rely on the “puppy dog” eyes that much more to get what we want.
Well whatever it is that makes me love those ponies, this is what I look like when I get to see my favorite ponies….
If you can’t tell, I’m smiling.
Sometimes I wish I could be a pony. You know, so I could live with my pony friends.
I’d eat hay just like them.
Love you ponies! Kisses from your pal, Ammo.
Just when I thought cardboard was only good for one thing (chewing up of course), mom showed me a whole new use for it!
Here’s me racing up the stairs to the loft so I can help mom. I know I have crazy eyes, but I promise, I’m not crazy.
Something smells different up here!
It’s new bedding for the ponies!
I think we should use this one.
Who would have thought….cardboard bedding? You think I can still chew it?
Mom says this stuff is supposed to be a little less dusty, eco-friendly, and cheaper! As long as I’m still allowed to play in it, it gets a paws up from me!
When you spend a lot of your time with a couple of Painting Ponies, it seems that there is always paint flying about. Literally.
All’s fair in love and art I guess!

On Sunday we had our last event at Iron Horse Farm before winter. Me and Trooper helped out.
Ok fine, maybe we weren’t THAT helpful.
See photos from the event here.
