I came across these fun wire animal sculptures on Etsy made by Wire Art Ink. These nifty sculptures feature original handmade wire art that focuses on personalized pet portraits, whimsical wire animal art, and custom mixed media sculpture. How fun!

You might remember a few weeks ago when the fine folks over at CafePress offered up a giveaway to one of my lucky readers. Well they also offered me a chance to take some of their custom products for a spin too – so I’m back to share with you just what I ordered.
So I browsed through their custom items and decided to try out their small round pet id tag and some 2.25″ buttons.
With the help of my personal designers (mom and dad) I used the Cafepress design tool and uploaded my logo for the pet tag and buttons. You can opt to upload an image or enter you own text and shapes with their design tools. I decided not to make my tag an “identification tag”, but instead just a little something something to add bling to my super hero outfit when I perform.
After uploading my designs for each item I checked them to make sure they would look right and not be cut off at all on the products.
Then a few short days later my custom items arrived in the mail! Yippee!
The pet tag came with a tiny clasp on it, but my hefty collar from Mattie & Margot was a bit too large for it to fit on. This was easily remedied with a Rubit clip (which I use on all my id tags anyway) that I had laying around the house.
So I pinned on my new button (which probably mom and dad will end up wearing most of the time – but I wanted to be the first to try it)….
….and snapped on my new tag to add that special bling bling to my Super Hero outfit.
You also may notice that I am wearing my gold letter A, which was the clear winner when I asked all of you which embroidered patch I should add to my costume! I agree, the gold is just the right color – thanks to everyone who weighed in with their vote.

I received some cafepress products to review on my blog, but all opinions are entirely my own.
Did I ever tell you that I live with a crafty bunch of people? Oh yes, so when it came time to get a birthday gift for my cousin Maddie, we didn’t just go to the store to buy something, no we strapped on our tool belts and made a doll bed! Ok well Dad strapped on his tool belt, but I knew just what to do when the doll bed was ready.
So since my Dad made a super sweet bed for my cousin’s doll, I figured the least I could do was make sure it passed the rigorous doll bed test. Incase you need to put a doll bed to the test too, here’s my guidelines for dog approved doll accessories.
Ammo’s Doll Bed Testing Guidelines
Test 1 – The Jumping Test: No doll bed is doll ready unless it can pass the jumping on the bed test. So put your paws to work and get to jumping on that bed! This one gets an A++ for jumpiness!
Test 2 – The Prayer Test: We all know that dolls have to say their prayers before bed, so get your prayers ready! I prayed for more cookies – although mom says I may have mixed up praying and wishes, but regardless the doll bed passed!
Test 3 – The Stretching Test: Make sure there is enough room on your doll bed for stretching out. If your sausage body can’t fit than you can bet miss dolly won’t either. Plenty of room here for my hot dog!
Test 4 – The Monsters Under the Bed Test: And the final and most important step in doll bed testing is to make sure there aren’t any monsters under the bed. I checked, and thank goodness Dad built a monster free bed.
Well, it looks like my cousin’s doll bed passed the test and now it’s ready for lots of dolly activities. I really hope I can come over for slumber parties! Especially if there’s popcorn.
You might remember that over this past year I’ve been accumulating paintings created by the talented Kim at Yellow Brick Home. First she painted a magnificent painting of me in my super hero cape, then she painted two super cool paintings of my favorite ponies, Minnow, Blitz and Boomer.
Then I realized I needed to make sure my bestest friend in the whole wide world wasn’t left out of all the fun! He is my best friend afterall. So just last week Trooper’s painting from Yellow Brick Home arrived in the mail!
It was just as glorious as I had imagined – especially since I had made sure he sent in the very best pictures of himself.
Of course I couldn’t let Trooper steal the spotlight for very long, and I photo bombed pretty much all of his photos that my mom took of him.
That’s what best friends are for!

P.S. Did you see that I wasn’t the only one that dressed as Wile E. Coyote for Halloween this year? My Canadian Pal Crusoe, the Celebrity Dachshund also broke out his Wile E. Coyote for all his fans. Although I hear he’s also having trouble with his Acme Rocket…..I knew we should have gotten the warranty!
Don’t freak out, we’re not talking REAL Taxidermy here (which is sort of creepy if you ask me). You may recall that I’m a HUGE art lover (I work in a frame shop, paint pictures, and hang out with some famous painting ponies), so when I discovered White Faux Taxidermy on Etsy I was in love!
Not only do they create super cute replicas of animals, but just this week they came out with a line of charming dog bust statues. Sadly they do not carry a dachshund bust yet (although the hound dog looks awfully similar), but I’m still completely smitten.
Each faux animal is cast out of a polyresin material, thus making the sculpture fairly light in weight, great for hanging or displaying. You can even have your sculptures custom painted in any color imaginable. I’ll take one of each please!

You might remember that for Christmas I got a special little gift card from my Mom & Dad to get a custom painting of myself from Yellow Brick Home. Well, a few days ago a little package arrived at my door from the very talented Kim Vargo.

I couldn’t believe how much it looked like me! Mom says she even captured the special feisty little look in my eyes.
After modeling for a few photos with Mom and sending Kim some of my favorites from years past, I was so excited to see the results. Kim even said I was the very first Super Hero she got to paint! (I’m the cutest too, right?)
Mom hung it up in my home office for me, and I really can’t help but stare at it all day long!

In honor of me being a painter now, I thought I’d share another artist with you today. Check out these super cool custom pet portraits. I think Lemon Drop Land would totally be worthy of making a special portrait of yours truly – complete with super hero cape (P.S. my Birthday is in October!)
To create the papercut, I’ll begin with a sketch of the (fairly high resolution) photo that you email me. Once I’m happy with the likeness and “feel,” I’ll slice the image out of subtly textured, sturdy, acid-free, highly light-resistant, 60% cotton papers, ensuring a long life without deterioration. Each piece is signed and dated.

It’s true.
You might be wondering why I’m dressed up in my Artist gear. Well, it’s because over the weekend I was very busy making a very special Valentine’s Day gift for my bestest pal, Trooper.
Just don’t mention this to my girlfriend Cricket, I sorta forgot to get her something! Shhh!
