Lately I’ve been very very busy. Not the kind of busy where you have a mile long to-do list, but the kind of busy that just makes you want to drop everything and soak it all in. I’ve been very busy making memories with my family!
From my little sister’s first crawl (which not to brag, but she didn’t crawl towards mom and dad, no instead she crawled towards me!!), and sledding with my cousins and ponies – these are the memories that I’m going to treasure forever.
Yup, this one is totally for the scrapbook!
I hope you’ve been busy making memories too.
Just yesterday mom snapped this photo of me while Dad was working on a project at the shop. Some may be surprised that I was able to nap through a power drill right by my bed, but there is a really good reason as to why this sort of thing doesn’t bother me. See, my mom and dad are artists and DIYers, which means that power tools are pretty much NO BIG WOOF to me anymore.
I made it through an entire Kitchen remodel in 2015.
I helped with excavation on the farm.
I helped Trooper with his post and beam house in 2012.
I helped lay radiant flooring.
And on my VERY first day with my new family I helped build fencing.
So yup, power tools are NO BIG WOOF.
Now vacuum cleaners ….that’s a whole other story.
So every time I turn around lately it seems my sister is eating. For someone so tiny she eats so very frequently. Lucky!
I also started to take note that said eating was very very messy.
Now occasionally this messiness would end up on the floor (score!), but most of the time mom whisked it away before I could get so much as a lick. And more often than not it was the icky stuff anyway (you know, the vegetables).
As the weeks passed I decided to take matters into my own paws.
But I guess they call them high chairs for a reason! And I wasn’t really getting that much closer to my end goal.
But then one day, as luck would have it, I noticed a tiny little hand peeking down from the high chair.
My sister was sharing. IT. WAS. GLORIOUS.
Baby P, I love you more everyday. xoxo, your best pal and big brother Ammo.

Water – it’s absolutely necessary for all of us to survive, but have you thought about how safe and clean your own pet’s water is?
My mom has always provided me with fresh water, and even when the public water at work seemed a little cloudy my mom didn’t hesitate to lug in a jug of clean water from home just so I could have the best!
But lugging in a jug of water weekly is a hassle, so I was so excited to tell my mom about a new way to keep my water purified so we could ditch the jug!
Meet the GoPure Water Purifier for pets!
GoPure Pod keeps your dog or cat healthy by providing them plenty of fresh, clean water. Your tap water may contain lead, fluoride or other chemicals proven to be dangerous for pets. GoPure Pet will remove these impurities and other contaminants.
And the truth is, most pet’s water bowls aren’t cleaned often enough, creating the perfect environment for bacteria growth. But now there is a simple way to ensure your pet’s drinking water is safe.
The GoPure Pod couldn’t be simpler to use (I mean I could totally do it if I had opposable thumbs!), and it can be used with any water bowl for up to 6 months with no need to change a filter.
With high-strength suction cups it attaches to the bottom of your pet’s bowl (and trust me, your dog or cat definitely won’t be able to get this thing off themselves).
Then simply fill with water and the pod begins it’s work.
Water continuously flows through openings in the exterior shell (the blue part) and is then purified through the GoPure Pod that is safely attached to the base of your dog’s bowl.
For the past few weeks now I’ve been drinking the tap water at work with the GoPure Pod. Mom has noticed that water looks much clearer than it ever has, and I’m relieved to know that the water I’m consuming is safe.
Did you know pet dishes are one of the main spots for germs to grow in the home? Pets have bacterial microbes in their mouths that be can be transferred to their water bowls, which in turn provides an environment for bacteria to grow.
Um yea, that’s pretty gross. Well now I can happily say….not in my water bowl…thanks to GoPure Pod!
You can help ensure your pet’s water is safe and clean by visiting GoPure Pod.
And now for the best part….

Finally! Yesterday I got to have a true Snow Day! Which means I didn’t have to go to work, and I got to spend the day playing with my family in the snow.
This was Baby P’s first big snow, and I was so excited to show her exactly what to do on a snow day.
We make snow angels on Snow Days.
And we go sledding on Snow Days.
And we curl up on the couch and wait for mom to make us a warm beverage on snow days!
What do you do on snow days?
It’s come to my attention that some of you may not know why us Dachshunds are so super cool. So incase you were unaware, I’ve made this handy list as to why Dachshund Rule The World.
Personal heating pad. Check. If you’re chilly, just grab a Dachshund, because we can put out some serious heat!
2. If rodents ever took over the World, your Dachshund would save you.
Honestly, we don’t even need an excuse like total World domination to justify a good old fashioned hunt down.
3. Your Dachshund will teach you to have the patience of a saint.
Us Dachshunds have our own agenda, and if we want to do something (or don’t want to do something), you better believe we won’t be listening to your commands.
4. You won’t need to waste your money on a shovel when you have a Dachshund.
Born to dig, that’s our motto. Just think of all the money you saved by not buying all those shovels!
5. Your floors, and tables, and pretty much any surface we can reach will be spotless.
Smell food. Will eat…by any means necessary. Enough said.
6. You’ll have a reason to smile every day when you share your home with a Dachshund.
We’re goofy, and silly, and never run out of ways to do something just totally ridiculous that will make you smile.
7. Our unique body shape inspires all kinds of art.
Seriously, just try shopping at Target without finding something with a Dachshund on it. We’re that cool.
8. We have no idea that we’re small.
If you always wanted a big dog, look no further. We Dachshunds believe we’re the biggest dogs of them all, and despite our size, we have no problem striking fear into the hearts of all the big dogs out there.
9. We have a distinct smell all our own.
Ah, the aroma of a Dachshund. It will grow on you.
10. We love our families something fierce.
Nothing can compare to the love that a Dachshund has for his family. And that my friends is why Dachshunds Rule!
Got anymore reasons why you think Dachshunds rule? Let me know in the comments below!
Summer is going to be here before you know it, and I want to be totally ready with my summer bod. Which is why I’m not letting a little cold weather keep me from getting my muscles back…..
What do you think? Am I going to be ready once summer rolls round?
This February was amazing, mostly because I had so many warm Spring-like days! So crazy! And I also had a lot of fun adventures, so that too.
Before we get to my adventures though, let me give a shoutout to my special sponsors & affiliates! Thanks to them I’m able to bring you exciting posts, so make sure you give them some love and check out what great products they carry!
And now it’s time for my February adventures…
I finally got to play Dress-up with my sister, and it was everything I thought it’d be!
I shared just how much activity I’m actually getting on a daily basis.
I shared a Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Dogs.
I celebrated the fact that my sister is now 1/2 a year old.
I shared my own rendition of a classic kids song.
I popped some tags at the thrift store.
I wrote an ode to my mailman.
I shared my spring to-do list.
I invited everyone in to tour my sister’s castle.
And so begins my March! I’m looking forward to a warm (and super early) Spring, how about you?
It’s come to my attention that I never properly shared my new little sidekick’s bedroom. After all, it took mom and I a really long time to get it just right.
So come on in, and welcome to the Princess’ Castle!
This is the room where my sister’s dog crate resides. I still haven’t figured out why she hasn’t jumped out of it yet!
Although I’m pretty sure it won’t be long before she breaks out of her crate at night, because the artwork above her is totally accurate. I’m also fairly confident in saying that she’s so fierce that her “bark” might even be louder than mine!
Even if she does break out though, I’ll be right here waiting.
Waiting to make sure she doesn’t touch my toys, or my dog bowl, or my favorite pillow on the couch.
Yup, that’s definitely the face of a little sister that’s going to escape her dog crate. I knew it.
Looks like we won’t be getting any sleep again tonight pony.
#andsomywatchbegins
So what did you think of my little sister’s castle? Do you think she’ll like how I decorated it (as you may notice there are MANY pictures of the one and only me in her bedroom)!
