Hide n’ Seek with your Dog

Disclaimer : This is a sponsored post brought to you by Chewy.

Sometimes on rainy days or days where I have to spend a little extra time indoors mom likes to play a fun game with me.

Hide n’ Seek is quickly becoming one of my favorite games, and I’m getting quite good at it (even when blindfolded!). Keep reading to find out how you can play this game with your dog!

Hide n' Seek with your Dog // Nature's Prairie All Natural Oven-Baked Biscuits // Chewy.com // Ammo the Dachshund

To start you need some yummy treats. I decided to use this package of Nature’s Variety Prairie All Natural Oven-Baked Biscuits from my friends over at Chewy.com.

These peanut butter and banana cookies contain no corn, wheat, soy, artificial preservatives, colors or flavors and are made right here in the USA!

So to get my game of Hide n’ Seek started mom asks me to sit and wait (sometimes in the same room, other times in another room so I can’t see), and then she hides my cookies all around the room.

Once their hidden she releases me to find them!

See why this game is so fun!

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack // Ammo the Dachshund

On a recent excursion I found myself at the King of Prussia Mall, right around dinner time I might add. Not one to pass up an opportunity to dine out with my family, I decided to try out one of the local dog friendly restaurants.

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack // Ammo the Dachshund

The Shake Shack is located just outside the mall, and has establishments in other states as well. I had heard rumors that they had a dog menu, so I couldn’t wait to try it out!

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack // Ammo the Dachshund

I waited patiently outside under our table while mom and dad went inside to check out the menu.

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack // Ammo the Dachshund

There was in fact a whole section of the menu dedicated to us furry four-legged patrons!

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack // Ammo the Dachshund

In collaboration with one of my favorite bakeries, Bocce’s Bakery, the Shake Shack offered up some tasty biscuits and frozen treats.

But alas, they were all sold out of both when mom and dad finally made it up to the counter to order!

The Dog Friendly Shake Shack // Ammo the Dachshund

There was no shortage of human food though and while my parents chowed down on hot dogs, burgers, fries and shakes, I was left staring at the table like this….

Don’t worry, when you look this cute you get your fair share of burgers and fries too!

I’ll just have to hit up the Shake Shack again soon to try out their doggie menu. What’s your dog’s favorite dog friendly restaurant? Share your favorites around the country in the comments below! Ammo the Dachshund

Dogs vs. Quadcopter

My Uncle Taylor came to visit from North Carolina recently and he brought with him a new fun toy for me and Trooper to play with.

I’m not sure our enthusiastic fun about our new toy was appreciated by everyone (I heard the ponies on the farm muttering that they needed ear plugs), but hey, sometimes you just gotta bark at things!

Blanket ID Lounge Collar & Pods Review & Giveaway

Disclaimer : This is a sponsored post and giveaway brought to you by Blanket ID.

Blanketid Lounge Collar & Podz Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

My daily “wardrobe” has consisted of one very important accessory for a very long time now, and that is my Blanket ID tag, which helps to keep me safe should I ever go missing. Each Blanket ID tag comes with a unique number on the back which when inputted into the Blanket ID website helps lost doggies to find their owners once again!

Blanketid Lounge Collar & Podz Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

While I keep my tag attached to my collar during the day, I must admit that the 1″ wide collars I prefer to wear are a little less than comfortable when I’m trying to get all snuggly in my bed at night. And as much as I know it’s sort of a no-no, up until now mom and dad let me sleep in the nude every night so that I could get more cozy.

Blanketid Lounge Collar & Podz Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

But all of that has changed since my pals at Blanket ID sent me one of their Lounge Collars and new Pods ID tags!

Blanketid Lounge Collar & Podz Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

These soft leather lounge collars are handmade in a whole variety of colors and styles – and you can even have one made with colors of your choosing, which is what I did with this fun gray and teal wrap collar.

The lounge collars are thin and slip right over your dog’s neck, and now I don’t have to worry about being id-less at night since I have something comfortable to wear to bed.

With the lounge collar you can attach your dog’s existing tags to it, or pick up one of these fun Pods from Blanket ID!

The pods unscrew at the top so you can insert some information about your dog on their included weather-resistant paper.

The Pods come in 4 fun colors (orange, purple, silver, and dark gray), and are waterproof, lightweight, and easily updated should you ever move. They are even great for using when you are on vacation as you can update it quickly to have your vacation address on it.

Meatballs in My Belly

Meatballs in my Belly // Ammo the Dachshund

Over the weekend my mom and dad decided to make some homemade hamburgers – in preparation for some home barbecuing fun this summer. I was a little worried I was going to be left out of the burger fun, when mom pulled out something just for me.

Meatballs in my Belly // Ammo the Dachshund

Mom said she was going to make me some mutt meatballs! This fun Treat Mix was included in one of my past Barkbox’s, and all that was needed to make them was a 1 pound package of ground meat, one egg, and the mutt meatballs mix.

Meatballs in my Belly // Ammo the Dachshund

First mom stirred all the ingredients into a bowl.

Then she laid them out on a tray to bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

The 30 minutes wait was the hardest part about the whole process.

Finally they popped out of the oven all golden brown!

I could smell those yummy meatballs a mile away!

Marsh Creek Mother’s Day

Mother's Day at Marsh Creek // Ammo the Dachshund

Sunday was Mother’s Day, so Trooper and I packed up our moms (and our ponies) and headed to the Marsh Creek State Park so that everyone could have a fun day.

Mother's Day at Marsh Creek // Ammo the Dachshund

While our mom’s went on an afternoon ride with the ponies Trooper and I went frolicking through the grass.

Mother's Day at Marsh Creek // Ammo the Dachshund

As if the look on my face doesn’t give it away already, I’m absolutely in love with frolicking!

Mother's Day at Marsh Creek // Ammo the Dachshund

After our moms returned, Trooper and I hit the lake for a little dip.

The water was a bit too chilly for my liking, so I sent Trooper out to retrieve all of the items floating in the lake instead.

Mother's Day at Marsh Creek // Ammo the Dachshund

Thanks to me (and I guess Trooper), the lake is now stick free! Thank goodness!

Mother's Day at Marsh Creek // Ammo the Dachshund

As you can imagine our moms were pretty tired out after an eventful day, so I faked napping so that my mom could rest too. I’m sweet like that.

Rainy Afternoon

Rainy Afternoon // Ammo the Dachshund

It’s that time of year when many an afternoon is spent peering out the window watching the rain fall.

Rainy Afternoon // Ammo the Dachshund

I guess the rain is good for the plants (my garden included), but sometimes all I want to do is go outside and play.

It can be hard waiting for the sun to reappear, and I must admit sometimes my patience runs thin.

But, like most things, waiting makes it that much more enjoyable when it’s finally time to go back outside to play! Ammo the Dachshund

Throwback Thursday: Training Day

Ammo the Dachshund // Let's Get Tricky // Teach Your Dog to High-Five

To become as skilled as I have in performing and learning tricks there is also a lot of behind the scenes training that goes on. Since I was just 8 weeks old mom has been helping me learn cues and tricks. Consistency is key, and also having a pocket full of treats!

Check out my Throwback Thursday video of one of my short training sessions at the farm in 2010:
