Little Helper

Last Sunday Dad put up gutters on the shed in the back yard. Mom says it’s so we can collect rain for the rain barrel she got for Christmas – and then we can water the magic horse poop and get some good eats this summer!

That’s great and all – but if it’s soooooo important to put the gutters up, then why did I get stuck behind the fence while everybody else helped?

At first I thought it was a punishment. But then I remembered I hadn’t chewed anything bad in AT LEAST a week, so it couldn’t be because of that.

Then I thought maybe it was because I was too short. But I showed mom that I could stretch really long, so it definitely couldn’t have been that.

It could of been because I didn’t have any rubber boots like mom, but she knows that getting my feet wet doesn’t bother me at all!

I thought perhaps if I showed mom how excited I would be if she let me help then I could get out from behind the fence, but jumping up and down did nothing.

Then when I saw Dad climbing the ladder I realized what it was……..

I left my tool belt at work.

dang!

Trickery

My mom takes a lot of photos of me, like a way lot. I know it’s only because I’m so adorable she just can’t help it, but little did I know that I was in for some photo trickery!

I was just minding my own business at the farm when suddenly strange noises started coming out of mom’s iphone. Then BAM! mom snapped a photo of me!

Totally uncool.

See thanks to Pawsh Magazine, mom got to test out the new App for her iphone called Pet Pic (update- app no longer available). So instead of my usual bribes of biscuits & delectable treats to tempt me into having my photo taken – I’m being tricked by the alluring sound of squeaky toys and barking dogs. It’s just cruel!

I decided to do a little photo trickery myself. So I stole mom’s iphone and decided to test the Pet Pic App out on the ponies.

Looks like I’m not the only one who likes squeaky toys! Ha ha!

The best part is that the Pet Pic App makes kitty sounds too……hehe……oh Spider……I have a surprise for you……

Spider Monkey

Spider the kitten is like my little sister. She’s really fun to pick on and make fun of. Mom says it will come back to bite me in the butt someday. But until then I’m gonna torture her all I want!

Hey Spider……come here, I gotta tell you something….

…. “You look like a Monkey and smell like one too”…..hehe….

Ahhhh, run!

She’s coming to get me!

Yeah, that’s right – keep looking. You can’t find me because I’m the fastest wiener dog ever!

I know you’re plotting some sort of revenge against me. But if you promise not to claw me, I’ll TRY to stop eating your kitty food. I’ll try.

Love,

Your big bro

Ammo

P.S. Trooper says you smell like farts! hehe

Little Red

I may not have been wearing “red” but that didn’t stop the Big Bad Wolf from finding me.

Off in the distance I spotted him.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but luckily for me I’m a Fearless Dachshund.

“My what big teeth you have” – me

“The better to eat you with” – wolf

“Why that’s no way to greet a stranger, how about a good old-fashioned butt sniff instead” – me

And we all lived Happily Ever After.

The End

Friday Fetch: Butt Sniffing Dogs

It’s like shaking hands, but for dogs. And for some reason it makes people giggle. Honestly, it makes me giggle too. That’s why today’s Friday Fetch is the Butt Sniffing Dogs Ceramic Sculpture from Snew!

Come on, you have to admit, it makes you giggle. hehe

These guys were handmade by using vintage molds and original pieces. They were made of clay and fired once to bisque then painted with a pretty turquoise blue. They are cute as can be even while doing the naughty and measure approx 5.5″ long 2″ high. Ready for loving or gifting!

You can Fetch the Butt Sniffing Dogs HERE for $35.

Also, be sure to check out Snew’s Doxie Cabochons! You know, because everyone loves a wiener dog!

Wet Paint

Wet Paint.

I should have known. When your day starts like this….

….. you will end up like this……

sigh.

My pal Minnow had a much more successful painting day than I did.

While he created 3 masterpieces (check them out here) I somehow ended up with blue paint in my mouth. Don’t ask.

At least I’m not the only one that requires a bath after painting day….

Sofa Match

After the big horse show over the weekend I invited my pal Trooper over to play.

We always have lots of fun….well when Trooper isn’t moping & crying for his mommy. (He’s kinda a baby).

Judge

Don’t worry I didn’t have a court date (hehe they haven’t caught me yet). No, instead I was a judge this past weekend at a very prestigious horse show. Ok fine, I don’t know about prestigious, but it was definitely a lot of fun!

Very nice, I like the control.

One tail up for a job well done!

Gotta limber up before the next rider comes.

Just fantastic!

Ok, now that I’ve picked my winner where’s the milk bones I was promised? Did you really think I’d work for free?

Slicker

That’s right, I’m really slick in my new rain slicker! Since I pretty much go through one coat a year (what can I say I’m a rough and tumble farm dog) mom decided to grab my 2012 winter coat a little early. One can never have too many outfits anyway.

And seeing as how it’s all brand – spanking new, I definitely had to give it a little test drive. So behold, the amazing slickness of me, Ammo, in my new Blueberry Raincoat from Noodle and Friends. (That Noodle is one lucky girl, I bet she has like a bazillion coats!)

Lucky for me my new raincoat arrived just in time for a little April Showers. Don’t worry, my new coat kept me nice and dry!

Oh and Noodle, thanks for the new squeaky toy! Too bad it’s already gone to the squeaky toy graveyard…..I just couldn’t resist!

Friday Fetch: Flossy the Dachshund

Ever since my mom DIY’d me a new id tag I’ve been begging her to make me something else spiffy to wear. Maybe an embroidered scarf or leash? The possibilities are endless.

Whatever she decides to make I think we MUST have one of these Dachshund Floss Holders! Please meet Flossy the Dachshund!

Flossy is the solution to all your embroidery floss needs! Super cute and functional, Flossy easily holds one skein of embroidery floss. Simply wind the floss around Flossy’s tummy until it is almost wound up, then place the end of the thread in her mouth as shown in the photos. Voila! Flossy is keeping your floss!

Flossy was hand drawn and is made from beautiful birch wood. Flossy measures about 3.5 inches wide and 1.25 inches tall. You can get your own Flossy the Dachshund from SugarCookie for $12
