Today is Memorial Day and I wanted to stop in and say thank you to all the soldiers out there. It’s important to remember those have fallen to protect our country and those who continue to protect us. So thanks to all who serve, including those of the 4-legged variety!

Over the weekend my mom and dad decided to make some homemade hamburgers – in preparation for some home barbecuing fun this summer. I was a little worried I was going to be left out of the burger fun, when mom pulled out something just for me.
Mom said she was going to make me some mutt meatballs
First mom stirred all the ingredients into a bowl.
Then she laid them out on a tray to bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
The 30 minutes wait was the hardest part about the whole process.
Finally they popped out of the oven all golden brown!
I could smell those yummy meatballs a mile away!

It’s that time of year when many an afternoon is spent peering out the window watching the rain fall.
I guess the rain is good for the plants (my garden included), but sometimes all I want to do is go outside and play.
It can be hard waiting for the sun to reappear, and I must admit sometimes my patience runs thin.
