Step 1: Mold your sculpy into a “snow mound” that will fit inside the lid of the jar. Make sure sure that it can fit inside the jar lid with the jar on top.
Step 2: Bake your sculpy in the oven at the temperature and time specified on the package. Allow to cool.
Step 3: Using a hot glue gun attach the “snow mound” to the lid of your jar. Then glue the dog figurine on top of it.
Step 4: Add glitter to your jar.
Step 5: Add water to your jar, making sure you don’t overfill it.
Step 6: Screw the lid onto the jar, shake, and enjoy!
It’s magical isn’t it?
I’m very much enjoying my snowglobe – it has just the right amount of Christmas Cheer!
This DIY was inspired by this tutorial from ModCloth.
I love gift giving so much that I decided to round-up some holiday shopping guides for the dogs and dog lovers in your life this year! I hope it will help you find something special for someone in your life.
The day has finally come! It’s time to announce the official release of the brand-new Super Pony DVD, staring the talented Minnow from Painting Pony…..and ME!
Thanks to my talented Uncle Taylor and Depthink Productions, we began filming for the DVD this past summer, and I’m so excited that it’s finally ready to share with everyone!
Check out the DVD Trailer:
ON THIS DVD
Trainer, Kyley DiLuigi, introduces us to Super Pony, the alter ego of the talented Chincoteague Pony, Minnow! Watch as he shows us some of his favorite trick performances, many of which have been performed at expos, fairs, schools, and even the Annual Chincoteague Pony Penning. Several performances also include Minnow’s lovable sidekick, Ammo the Dachshund, as well as other members of the Painting Pony crew. In addition to 5 featured videos, this DVD also contains 2 bonus videos: a visit to Iron Horse Farm, home to the Painting Ponies; and a talk given by Kyley about everyone’s favorite Chincoteague Pony, Misty of Chincoteague.
PAINTING PONY
In 2007, Painting Pony was founded when Kyley DiLuigi decided to bring her paints from art school out to the farm where she kept her 14-year-old pony, Minnow. That cold winter day Minnow became the World’s First Painting Chincoteague Pony as he created his very first masterpiece. As it became evident that Minnow had a gift that he truly loved, the paintings he created began to pile higher and higher. Feeling the need to share Minnow’s art with the world, Kyley started PaintingPony.com and the rest is history!
You’ll get to see performances by me and Minnow as well as me and my buddy Trooper. You even get to see me paint!

Even though I ate mom’s lunch at work (several times), barked at my next door neighbor (a lot), destuffed all my toys all over the house, and got mud on the new white sofa…..I really think I deserve all of the items on my Christmas Wish List. I will try harder next year.
While I’m busy unpacking from my big Thanksgiving Adventure, I thought I’d send a little Monday Cheer in the form of a Cyber Monday SALE in my Etsy Shop!
So today only receive 20% off everything in my online shop with the coupon code CYBERSALE12
My Cyber Monday deal will expire today (November 26, 2012) at 10pm EST, so make sure you grab up some goodies before they’re gone!
Every year it’s tradition for Mom to help me make a Holiday greeting card to send to our friends and family. Last year I decided to spread the cheer to everyone and made my cards available to the public. So since Christmas is just around the corner I decided it was high time I revealed my 2012 Holiday Card Design…
And what’s even more fantastic is that I’m going to be donating 2% of all the proceeds from my 2012 cards to the Main Line Animal Rescue!
I’m sure both designs will make your friends and family smile!
The making of my 2012 Holiday card was quite involved, but I promise to show you some more behind-the-scenese photos as we get a bit closer to Christmas.
You can purchase my 2012 Holiday Cards in my Etsy Shop, Flying Hero! The more you purchase, the more I can help the animal rescues!
We had lots of entries for my Birthday Week Giveaway, in which one lucky reader will win my 2013 Calendar and a set of Greeting cards from my Flying Hero Etsy Shop.

But sadly there can be only one winner, and today’s winner is comment #28 Rebecca, who wishes every doxie had a home, and every home a doxie! (good wish!)

Don’t freak out, we’re not talking REAL Taxidermy here (which is sort of creepy if you ask me). You may recall that I’m a HUGE art lover (I work in a frame shop, paint pictures, and hang out with some famous painting ponies), so when I discovered White Faux Taxidermy on Etsy I was in love!
Not only do they create super cute replicas of animals, but just this week they came out with a line of charming dog bust statues. Sadly they do not carry a dachshund bust yet (although the hound dog looks awfully similar), but I’m still completely smitten.
Each faux animal is cast out of a polyresin material, thus making the sculpture fairly light in weight, great for hanging or displaying. You can even have your sculptures custom painted in any color imaginable. I’ll take one of each please!
You can fetch your own animal statue from White Faux Taxidermy HERE!
