Sometimes I get the case of the zoomies on the farm. You can’t help but have a little skip in your step when you get to play on 20 acres of farmland.
Happy Monday!

Recently there has been some inquiry into how I travel when in the car. It’s no secret that I’m a big advocate for seat belts in the car (for humans & dogs alike). Just check out my car safety gear here.
Me and my pal Trooper always wear our seat belts in the car, and I even ride in a special booster seat (so I can see out the window). So for today’s Friday Fetch I thought I’d share some of my favorite car travel products from Hunter K9.
You can fetch more dog car safety products at Hunter K9!
When I’m on the farm Cricket likes to do everything I do. She’s like the Cheese to my Macaroni, the Icing on my Cupcake, and the Ketchup to my French Fries all rolled into one.
When I climb logs, she climbs logs.
When I sniff scents, she sniffs scents.
And when I get lost in the depths of the giant scary log pile, she’s the one that’s sent to rescue me.
Thanks Cricket, for being the ever-lasting Cheese to my Macaroni!
I haven’t been on any really big adventures lately, so I decided it would be really fun to take a trip to the moon.
Mom said I had to wear my helmet if I was going to go to the moon – and I had be back in time for dinner.
Pwwwf! As if I would miss dinner, who does she think I am?
Anyway, I’ll try to bring back some moon rocks from my trip to share with you.
I just really hope I don’t see any aliens on my trip to the moon….because I think I just might scream!
Being a Blogger (and facebook celebrity) pretty much means that I spend a lot of time locked in my office writing away. Only up until recently my blogging space wasn’t really up to my amazing design standards. So after some begging and pleading, and a few sad puppy faces, Mom and Dad agreed to give my office a makeover.
Welcome to my new office, won’t you join me for the tour?
Fabulous right? The best parts are in the details, because it’s quite obvious that my personal style (and overall good looks) have taken over the space completely….
A is for Ammo and everything that is awesome!
My Reserve Champ ribbon from the Keystone Dachshund Races last year proudly hangs on my cork board along with my favorite photo of me and Minnow the Chincoteague Pony.
Everything about my new office is happy and bright….just like me!
At the end of the day, the most important thing is the function – and after taking it for a test spin, my new office passes the Ammo the Dachshund standards test.
Suddenly I’m inspired to be way more creative – building more rocket packs, digging more holes, and painting more pictures.
There’s adventures to be had right outside my window!
Just as soon as I finish my afternoon nap!
There is one thing on the farm that gets my tail wagging more than anything else.
His name is Minnow, and he’s my very special pony.
My love for him is so great, that I can’t help but go bounding through the fields in excitement!
Sometimes when I hang out with Minnow I like to pretend I’m a pony too. Nibbling grass all day long.
Then other times I get bored of being a pony and I like to do dog things with Minnow.
Minnow’s not so great at playing fetch though, but I can still pretend.
At least I don’t have to worry about him stealing the stick from me – he’s really great at sharing like that.
Sometimes I just love spending so much time with Minnow that I really don’t want to leave.
I secretly always hope that I get to have a sleepover with him, because mom doesn’t even notice me out in the pasture since I look just like all the other ponies. A boy can dream can’t he?
I’m having sort of a lazy day today. It’s raining outside and pretty much I don’t feel like doing anything. So in my rainy day boredom I decided to share some photos of my favorite pet artists – because whats better to get you motivated than an inspiring piece of art! And after all I am an art-loving pooch (I paint my own fantastic portraits, live with a bunch of painting ponies & work in a frame shop). So without further adieu, here’s some Thursday afternoon artistic inspiration for you….

So who are some of your favorite artists? Besides me of course! hehe.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a morning dog.
I don’t wake up at 5am and demand to be fed my breakfast….no, I sleep until someone tells me it’s time to get up.
Usually I’m awakened by the sound of kibble being poured into my bowl in the kitchen, because really, who can resist that sound?
Eventually I mosey into the kitchen and eat – but unlike you might think, I don’t go outside for a morning romp – instead I find a new comfy spot to sleep.
Despite the fact that mom says we have to be at work in an hour, I just can’t muster the energy to get my day started.
So instead I happily snooze my morning away until I’m forced to go outside for a potty break or mom carries me to the car for our ride to the shop or the farm.
I may not be a morning dog, but if you had as many adventures as I do you might be a little less willing to get out of bed in the morning too.
On Saturday we got our first snowfall of 2012 in Pennsylvania.
I love the snow, but sometimes I’d just much rather stay in bed.
The wind can sting your eyes, and….
…when the snow freezes it can be quite difficult for little paws to trek around in.
But, duty calls and I gotta dig deep and just keep going…..
…because there are certain ponies that don’t take “snow days”…..
….and become quite angry when they don’t get their morning hay.
I don’t complain much about leaving my warm bed on snow days though….
….because after all, someone has to make sure all the necessary “scents” are still in their designated place after a blanketing of new fallen snow.
Sometimes a fellow just needs to get gussied up.
So the other day at work, I used my new bowtie I got for Christmas from Silly Buddy to practice my dashing good looks for everyone.
Now really, what’s more irresistible than a Dachshund in a bowtie?
My dapper good looks even look great from any angle.
Look deep into my eyes….closer…..closer….
….now feed me some cookies! My belly is hungry!
Disclosure – I was not paid or perked by Silly Buddy in any way. I just simply think their collars and bowties are super duper awesome!
