A combination of frisbee and golf, the object is to get your frisbee into the provided targets at each hole.
Of course I was a natural – as I am with most things! *wink*
Aside from the goal of throwing the frisbee around the course, there was quite a bit for me to investigate on this adventure.
Being in the wilderness is one of my all time favorite things – but after a day of trekking around the course I was quite happy that this state park had a lake too.
Nothing like a dip in the water to beat the heat!
If you’re looking for a dog friendly adventure check out the French Creek State Park. The trails are pet friendly as is the boat rental. Also lots of camping areas that allow pets.

My pals over at Chewy.com recently offered me the chance to test out some of Nature’s Variety Instinct Rawboost Minis Treats in the chicken flavor. I’ve secretly always wondered what eating raw was like – as it seems to have become a trend within the dog community – and trying out these raw treats seemed like a great way to jump into it.
Mom’s a bit too “chicken” to let me eat all my meals raw, but with these Rawboost treats I can have a taste of raw meat without needing to eat my main meals raw. These Rawboost treats offer up real, all natural chicken and pure raw ingredients – in a freeze dried treat form.

My friends over at Prime Pet Supply recently offered me a chance to take their new pet products website for a spin. Shopping, now how did they know that would win me over?!

Once my goodies arrived at my doorstep I wasted no time in digging right in!
The hardest part was choosing what to try first!
Two of the toys I picked up were the Kong Tugga Wubba Dog Toy and the Bionic Bone Dog Toy. Both of these toys are designed for tough chewers (which totally describes me) and after a couple weeks of play they are still holding up very well. The nice thing about the Bionic Bone is that it’s designed to be stuffed with treats – I’m thinking bully sticks just as soon as mom picks me up a few!
Next I tested some Etta Says! Freeze Dried Chicken Liver Treats, which I’m not gonna lie, I mostly chose these because there was a picture of a cute little dachshund on the front.
I’m a big fan of freeze dried dog treats, especially since these are made in america, all natural, and contain no preservatives. Gotta love treats that taste good and are good for you! Yum!
The next product was something my mom picked out for me. Honestly, I wasn’t that thrilled about it because supposedly it’s supposed to mask that stinky dog smell that I work so hard to achieve.
The Earthbath All Natural Deodorizing Spritz in Vanilla Almond is designed to make your stinky dog smell much better. Mom was quite excited about this product, and I guess I can kinda be on board if it means I will get less frequent baths. I do admit the Vanilla Almond smell was quite pleasing, but not too over powering – and a bonus is it’s supposed to make my skin softer and my coat sleek and shiny!
Now the last product, and probably my favorite, was the Powzer Flash and Dash Ball. This thing was seriously cool. When the tough outer ball is shaken (or on impact) it lights up inside for over 70 hours of play. I had so much fun playing with this ball in the dark, just see for yourself….
Overall I thought Prime Pet Supply had some great products, and I also like to see that they carry a lot of all natural and healthy for you products – because that just means my mom is more likely to buy them for me!

Voyagers K9 Apparel is a company that I am already pretty familiar with – having owned two of their custom made coats for several years now. So when I got the chance to test out one of their raincoats, I did a little happy dance (in the rain of course).
The unique thing about these coats are that they can be custom made to fit your dog, and not just pure breeds – ANY BREED OF DOG. So I sent in my measurements and pretty soon there was a package waiting at my doorstep with this spiffy new red raincoat that fits me oh-so-perfectly. I mean just look how tailored it fits, which is no easy feat for an oddly shaped dachshund body.
Unlike their winter and cold weather coats, this raincoat is light weight with a mesh lining – meaning even though it’s summer I don’t have to worry about getting overheated in it.
I love the attached hood as it is the perfect for keeping my little ears dry, but I also have the option to unvelcro the front and fold it over too.
The coats from Voyagers K9 Apparel also come with holes to attach a leash to a collar and optional ones to attach to a harness as well.
And my final test of my spiffy new raincoat was to see how it faired in the rain – which as luck would have it a storm was rolling in on the farm!
I started off slow – testing my new coat inside under the drops of rain that were bouncing into the barn.

My new raincoat even kept me dry enough that I wanted to take a potty break outside in the rain – now that’s saying something!

Today we’re going to talk about doggie doo doo! You know, those nice little presents of stuff that your dog leaves for you in your backyard (you’re welcome by the way). Well thanks to my friends over at Easy Scoop A Poop, we have a better way for you pet owners to deal with all those smelly little presents!
With the Easy Scoop A Poop product you no longer have to FEEL your pet’s waste. Honestly, I wouldn’t really know what thats like on account of I never have to clean up after myself (it’s good to be a dog), but according to my mom, it’s not the greatest job in the world.

Now for the sake of demonstrating how this product works I was more than happy to offer up some of my own little piles, but mom kindly suggested we use something a little less gross – you know, just incase you are eating lunch or something. So you can thank me later, but I found this little apple in my backyard that I’m going to use to represent my little “piles”.
So to use the Poop A Scoop you simply pull out a bag and insert your hand into the plastic handles – and then into a clean bag just as you normally would to pick up your dog’s business.
Then simply pick up the mess and invert the bag!

I recently got the chance to take the new line of KONG Premium Treats for a spin; I’m sure nearly every dog has a kong just laying around their house begging to be stuffed with yummies – I know I do!
I was excited to try this new line of treats because they boast:

I don’t know about you, but it’s so much easier to get my mom to buy me treats when they are made from stuff that’s good for me!
First up I decided to test the Chicken Mini Meat Bites, these little nuggets looked just the right size for me.
With the first ingredient being chicken, I can attest that these soft chewy treats were oh so yummy. They’re the perfect size to use as training treats and can even can be used to stuff certain kong toys.
These were just as delicious, but took me extra long to devour because they were inside my Kong – something mom claims is an extra plus, but I think it’s just a waste of time!
For my last taste test I saved my favorite, the Chew Buddies Variety Pack, mostly because what’s not to love about these adorable cookies! They were almost too cute to eat…….but my stomach won out in that battle.
I decided to dive into the T-Rex shaped one first, mostly because I felt a kindred spirit to him since I too have short stubby arms!
Mr. T-Rex didn’t last very long, but mom said he helped me fight plaque and tarter buildup with his crunchy body. I’m not really sure what all that means, but if it gets me more cookies then count me in.
