So it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the reveal of my 2015 Halloween costume! All you Guardians of the Galaxy fans are going to love me as…..
Incase you didn’t catch the movie yet, don’t worry, I won’t give away any spoilers here.
Just know this…..
…with me on duty the Galaxy just got a whole lot safer! Pew! Pew!
Thanks to my mom and her handy glue gun I bet you would never have known that I’m not the real Rocket Raccoon from the Guardians of the Galaxy. I probably had you fooled didn’t I?
Probably a bit more convincing when my best pal Groot shows up to the party though!
Now if you’ll excuse me, me and my pals Star-Lord, Gamora, and Groot need to break out of jail so we can go defend the galaxy.
Seeing as how Halloween is just a few short days away, I couldn’t help but come up with some funny spooky inspired memes!
So if you need a little laugh today, or your friend needs a laugh, or everyone you know needs a laugh….then pass these around to everyone you know!
Good for a fun chuckle, right?
Tomorrow is the day that I officially share my 2015 Halloween costume! I bet you can hardly wait! So stick around for even more spooky fun, and Happy Halloweenie!
So it wouldn’t be Birthday Week on my blog without some super fun DIY projects that you can make at home for your dog!
Today I’ve got a fun DIY Dog Toy that you can make with things from around your house. So even if you’re not here to join in on my 7th Birthday fun, you can still play along at home with this simple project!
Here’s what you’ll need to make a DIY Snake Dog Toy:
Cotton Stuffing (or stuffing from some old worn-out dog toys)
Pair of old socks (tube socks or soccer socks work great)
Needle & Thread
Scissors
Step 1: Fill both socks 90% full with cotton stuffing.
Step 2: Overlap the cuffs of the socks together and stitch closed.
Step 3: Give to your dog so they can enjoy!
If you can’t tell by the look on my face, I thoroughly enjoyed my new DIY Snake Dog Toy! (That or I saw a ghost!). Regardless, I guarantee your dog will love playing with their new homemade snake.
Don’t forget, if you make your pup a snake toy, be sure to share a picture of it on my Facebook Page! I’d love to see it!
*Make sure you always supervise your pet during playtime. Your pet should not play with this toy while unsupervised.
There’s still time to enter my BarkBox giveaway on my blog! You can also save 10% off your first order with code AMMO.
Today is a very special day, today is the one day a year where I become just 1 year older. Today is my 7th Birthday!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. I love getting to dress up as something I’m normally not. While I myself tend to go the DIY route when it comes to my costumes, it’s fun to browse through the store-bought options for inspiration and perhaps a little giggle too. So here’s my round-up of 10 Awesome Halloween Costumes for Dogs that I thought were pretty darn cool!
So, what is your dog going to be this Halloween? I’m still working on coming up with an idea for mine…..mom says I gotta hurry though if I want her help making it!
Since today is the start of a long holiday weekend for Independence Day so I’m taking off early! You better believe I’ll be doing a whole lot of this too…
With a name like Ammo I always get questions about how I ended up with such an explosive name (for such a small dog). So I figured it was high time I shared the story of how I got my name.
I like to think I’ve really grown into my name over the past 6 years that I’ve had it, but my parents thought long and hard before they landed on “Ammo”.
In fact, it might help to show you a video of the VERY FIRST time I ever met my parents.
As you can see I really wasn’t too shy about asserting my personality! 😉
After meeting me, falling in love, and deciding I would get my forever home with them, mom and dad went home to contemplate what my new name would be.
Mom had picked out the name Ranger. She thought it was a strong name that sounded super cute with my soon to be best buddy’s name….Trooper! (Mom still says Trooper & Ranger would have been cute names).
Dad picked out the name Ammo. He said I looked like a little bullet because I was so long.
The wildcard name that almost came to be….Robot! Hehe, I like to think that would have been a pretty funny name to have too.
In the end I became Ammo. Mostly because my dad had never had a dog before (mom had) and it seemed only fitting that he get to name his very first fur kid (at least according to mom). So Ammo it was! And you know what, I think it’s pretty fitting. I’m fast, powerful, and explosive. I even found out later on (via a Facebook fan) that Amo means love in Italian. How cool!
Even though my name is Ammo, I’ve got lots of little nicknames around the house that mom and dad like to call me:
Amee
Am
Amer
L’Amee (short for Little Amee)
Ween
Weenie
Monkey
Peanut
Miami (short for My Amee)
How did your dog get their name? Does he/she have any fun nicknames too? Do tell!
Disclaimer: this post if brought to you by Chewy.com, but all opinions are my own and I only share products I think my readers will love!
My friends over at Chewy.com recently sent me a new toy. The KONG Squeezz Ball with Handle Dog Toy not only squeaks, but it’s perfect for tugging too! And even though it was well past my bed time….there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to take it for a spin.
Too tired to stand, but NEVER too tired to play with a new toy! How about your dog?
As you read this I’m off on a week long road trip with my family as I head to Nashville Tennessee for this year’s BlogPaws Conference!
I’m excited to hit up some interesting places along the way like the Shenandoah National Park, the Great Smoky Mountains and so much more! While I won’t be blogging the rest of this week, you can still check in with me on Facebook, Instagram & Twitter as I’ll be sharing lots of the fun as we go!
And before I head home, I’ll be attending the Red Carpet ceremony at the BlogPaws Conference as I’m up for the Best Dog Blog & Best Pet Photo awards. Paws crossed I win, and if you want to check out all the fun you can watch the live streaming event on Youtube!
Watch on the BlogPaws YouTube channel: beginning at approximately 7:00pm CST, followed by closing remarks.
And that’s not all, since I felt bad about not blogging the rest of the week while I was traveling, I decided to add some fun adventure goodies to my shop!
Check out my online etsy shop, Flying Hero to grab all these goodies and more! (please note items purchased this week will ship the first week in June).
So friends, I’m signing off now, because as always Adventure Awaits!
