On those hot summer days one of my very favorite things to do is to visit the Marshcreek State Park – home to my favorite lake. But what about on those rainy summer days? Well, I still like to visit the lake!
The day started hot and sunny enough, so I packed up my life vest (and my pal Shilah the Husky) and headed out to the lake.
I was surprised to find that the water was warm, as in bathtub warm! So I had no hesitation in jumping right in!
Shilah had a bit more hesitation with the water, would you believe she’s never been to a lake before! Not to worry though, I was able to coax her right in.
Just as I was starting to get warmed up a huge storm came through and dampened my chance to hop on a boat rental!
But after waiting out the heaviest of rain, I wasn’t going to let it spoil my fun, and it was back in the water for Shilah and me!
I even took to some good old fashioned dog paddling, because I of course had to show off my mad swimming skills to my pal Shilah!
Every year my mom packs up the ponies and heads to Chincoteague Island in Virginia for the Annual Chincoteague Pony Swim and Auction the last week in July. Sadly I’m always left behind for this annual homecoming of sorts, mostly because mom says it’s too hot for me!
So while I stay home with dad and watch movies, eat junk food, and stay up way too late, mom and my ponies are performing all week long at the Chincoteague Pony Centre in the hot summer weather. Perhaps I got the better end of this deal?
I’m wishing my ponies the best of luck in their performances, and I just know they’ll make lots of people smile!
See you when you return ponies! You better bring me back a souvenir!
Also, check out this article that was in my local paper all about my favorite ponies! Read it HERE.
I was super excited to dive into that bag of jerky, but then I thought to myself… “self, you should let your best friend Trooper try out these Jerky treats”…. especially since mom says jerky gives me the toots, as in room clearing toots! Which honestly I don’t understand what the big deal is anyway, but I decided to hand over the product testing to my good pal just because I like him so much.
So when I told Trooper that he got to be the one to test out the Premium Jerky Cuts, his eyes got real big and he started to drool!
I mean just look how big and juicy those jerky slabs are!
Trooper’s eyes glazed over as he dug into that soft meat, and I admit, I started to regret letting him try them instead of keeping them all to myself.
So if you’re looking for some tasty jerky to share with your best friend (or just keep all to yourself), check out these yummy Premium Jerky Cuts from Chewy.com!

Today we’re going to talk about doggie doo doo! You know, those nice little presents of stuff that your dog leaves for you in your backyard (you’re welcome by the way). Well thanks to my friends over at Easy Scoop A Poop, we have a better way for you pet owners to deal with all those smelly little presents!
With the Easy Scoop A Poop product you no longer have to FEEL your pet’s waste. Honestly, I wouldn’t really know what thats like on account of I never have to clean up after myself (it’s good to be a dog), but according to my mom, it’s not the greatest job in the world.
This portable poop scooper comes with a roll of bags (with refills available) just inside the lid for easy access.
Now for the sake of demonstrating how this product works I was more than happy to offer up some of my own little piles, but mom kindly suggested we use something a little less gross – you know, just incase you are eating lunch or something. So you can thank me later, but I found this little apple in my backyard that I’m going to use to represent my little “piles”.
So to use the Poop A Scoop you simply pull out a bag and insert your hand into the plastic handles – and then into a clean bag just as you normally would to pick up your dog’s business.
Then simply pick up the mess and invert the bag!
Now I will say that I did make mom test this out on some REAL “apples”, and it worked just as well! Just check out how easy it is to use in the video below:
The Easy Scoop A Poop:
Product shields your hand from pet waste warmth and texture felt through a bag.
Small enough to fit in your pocket or use the carbiner to clip to your pet’s leash.
It’s made with recycled plastic, minimizing landfills’s impact on the environment.
You can fetch this product from Easy Poop A Scoop HERE.
And now for the best part!

Oh glorious Fourth of July – a celebration of my country that also brings cookouts, trips to the park, and a romp in the brandywine river, what’s not to love?
I dressed in some festive Fourth of July colors and headed down to a local park for the yearly Downingtown Good Neighbor Day Celebration.
After meeting and greeting with all my “neighbors”, I was ready for something sweet.
Dad picked us up from soda from the Freaky Dog Soda shop (although all I got was water to wet my whistle) and then we headed to the Brandywine to get our feet wet.
Ah, nothing like a refreshing dip in the river to cool you off on a hot day! How did you celebrate this 4th of July?
It’s been raining in Pennsylvania A LOT, like as in thunderstorms most nights and sometimes all day long. But it’s also been hot hot hot. So while I hate that the rain sometimes puts a damper on my plans, I’m loving that it’s created a personal puddle on the farm just for me to cool off in.
It may not be crystal clear waters, but it’s the perfect place to cool off, and maybe fetch a few sticks in too.
With just a couple more inches of rain I’d have to slap on my life vest and call it my own personal swimming puddle.
If anyone needs me I’ll be dipping my paws into my personal puddle, and dreaming I’m at the beach chasing crabs out to sea! Keep cool friends!
It’s time to take a look back over the past month at all the exciting things I’ve done! So just incase you missed it, here are some of my highlights from June!
