The holiday season can be sort of a crazy time around my house. Presents to buy, parties to attend, all while trying to help my mom with the busy holiday rush at her shop. It can get pretty exhausting for everyone.
Don’t worry though, when it comes time to wrap all the holiday presents I’m always around to lend a helping paw.
Even if it means I have to work through my nap time.
Yay! It’s time for my holiday gift guides! I know you’ve got a special dog or dog lover in your life that you’re stumped on what to get them. Well have no fear! I’ve got the best collection of gift ideas for all your friends.
Did you know that Valentine’s Day is almost here? That’s right, it’s just a short week away! So if you’re still in need of something for your sweetheart I’ve rounded up a few LOVE-ly things from my online shop that are perfect to gift to someone special this year. Check them out below….
I’ve been celebrating the 12 Days of Cheer for several years now, and each year I like to come up with some fun and festive DIY projects that involve your 4-legged friends. And while I still have some fun new ones to share this year, I thought it would be fun to round up some of the ones I’ve done over the years.
So here’s a few of my festive Christmas DIY Dog Projects:
Strapped on time? Make this simple and fun DIY prize ball for your dog with things you have laying around your house!
With Valentine’s Day just around the corner I thought it would be fun to round-up some special V-day goodies (for dogs and people too)! Check out what I’m currently digging below…
With Christmas just around the corner Mom and I decided to add a little bling to our tree! (inspired by this tutorial) This super easy DIY is also great to use as gifts for all your doggie friends! So easy your could make these this weekend as gift toppers for all your gifts!
Step 1: Lay out a sheet of wax paper and using your rolling pin flatten out a piece of model magic that is large enough to fit your cookie cutter. Keeping it about 1/2″ to 1″ thick.
Step 2: Press your cookie cutter into the model magic.
Step 3: Tear away the excess and poke your bamboo skewer into the spot where you want the string for hanging to be.
Step 4: (optional) You can stamp a name or word into your ornament using the rubber stamps if you choose. It’s a great way to personalize them for all your friends! (no ink required as you will be painting them later)
Step 5: Allow the model magic ornaments to dry for several days so that they harden. (they will harden faster if you set them near a heat source (not on it!) and remove them from the wax paper)
Step 6: Once your ornaments have hardened you can add a few coats of gold spray paint (or really any color you like). Optional – add some glitter by sprinkling it on while your paint is still wet.
Then just add some twine and your ornaments are ready to hang on your tree or gift to a friend!
Only thing that would make these better is if they were actually edible (which sadly they are not), paws crossed for edible dog bone ornaments for next year!
Even though I’m five I don’t feel a day over 2! I’m looking forward to many more years of adventures and I wanted to thank all of you for joining me for Birthday Week as well as all of my journeys! I enjoy making all of you smile and I appreciate you leaving me comments on my blog and facebook page. I’m lucky to have friends like you!
And now I bet you are all wondering what exactly I got for my Birthday! So lets take a look inside my gift box!
Oh lucky day, I got a Benebone (which I can’t wait to start chewing to see how well it will hold up to my choppers), and Nylabone Dental Chew, and a yummy goody from Pet Valu! I feel like the luckiest boy in the world!
So thanks again for celebrating with me this week. I hope you had as much fun as I did!
We had lots of entries for my Dream Big contest, in which one lucky reader will win one of my brand-new prints from the Flying Hero Etsy Shop.
I had so much fun reading everyone’s big dreams, which included starting rescue groups, writing books, traveling to Africa, and even finishing college. But sadly there can be only one winner, and today’s winner is comment #25 Krista, who’s dream is to visit the Cook Islands.
Thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway, and since I hate to see anyone go home empty handed, you can use the coupon code FREESHIP in my etsy shop, Flying Hero, to receive free shipping anywhere in the US on any order! Yay for free!
I hope you have a wonderful Friday, and don’t forget to keep dreaming big!
My day started off pretty regular, but then my bestest pal Trooper came to spend the day with me at the shop.
We pretty much did the normal stuff….
…you know, taking turns wearing the party hat and trying to eat each other…..
….I swear I won the match! And not just because it was my Birthday!
After work I headed out to the farm where Minnow and all my pony friends sang Happy Birthday to me! I won’t lie, I made them sing it twice just for kicks.
Then back at home I FINALLY got to open my Birthday gifts from mom and dad.
Mom baked me some very special Birthday Bones and I got some new toys to play with too!
Just in case you are wondering, no I’m not going to share.
P.S. Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday on my Facebook Page! I feel so loved! And don’t worry, Birthday week isn’t over yet – I still have a whole bunch more fun in store!
Yesterday you got to read part 1 of my Holiday Adventure, and now it’s onto part two, where I got to visit my pal Trooper’s House for more Holiday fun.
When I got to Trooper’s house he has a special present just for me.
Yeah it was a pretty sweet toy! I’m still having a blast playing with it!
I had a special gift for my pal Trooper too.
Trooper was so excited he could hardly contain himself! You see, I got Trooper a new collar from SillyBuddy.
Yea, I was a teensie bit jealous at how good he looked in it.
And then guess what!? Santa brought Trooper some reindeer antlers too!
After Christmas at Trooper’s house I got to go see my cousin’s Chase & Jimmy!
We had some laughs, we even cried a little, but don’t worry…..we made up in the end. And lets just say I got a few dinner rolls thrown my way by my cousins. hehe.
