The other day while out on a walk through the park I spotted something that made me a little crazy.
I claim it was a squirrel, mom thinks it was a leaf, and we pretty much agree to disagree.
We may never really know what was up that tree for sure, but it sure was fun trying to catch it!
Does your dog like to chase things up trees? Any brave squirrel hunters in this group? 
Ok well technically there is only one dog going crazy over leaves, and it’s me!
Something about those crunchy leaves just gives me the case of the zoomies!

Wow, October always seems to be quite a busy month for me! It’s also one of my favorite months considering I celebrate my Birthday, and Halloween is my favorite Holiday!! What sort of things did you do this October?
There is something just so wonderful about hanging out in a pile of leaves.
The crunchy sound, the dead leafy smell (you totally know what I’m talking about), the pretty fall colors.
I love ALL OF IT, especially the rumor I heard from Cricket the farm cat that sometimes little critters like to hang out in leaf piles too.
And this is not the face of a cat that would lie!
So if you don’t mind, I’ll just spend the rest of my day hanging out in this pile of leaves – and waiting for the critters to join me. *wink*
What’s your favorite thing about a big pile of leaves?
It’s that time of year when the sun sets earlier, the leaves change a pretty color, and you have to bundle up a little more on the farm! Here’s a fun little collection of photos from my recent fall fun around the farm.
Don’t you just want to jump in a great big pile of leaves and sip hot chocolate now? (well in my case just burrow under my favorite warm blanket!)
Things are a little quieter around here now that fall has arrived. The shop slows down a little bit before the Holiday rush, the ponies start growing their winter coats and I don’t have quite as many things booked on my calendar.
So it’s nice to take this little fall break and play in the leaves.
Did you know that you can find buried treasure in fall leaves?
It’s true, I’ve seen it with my own eyes.
All you gotta do is wiggle your little nose and let it lead you too it.
And if you can’t find the treasure, than I hate to tell you, but those darned squirrels probably took it. Sorry pal, I guess you’re out of luck this year.
It’s fall on the farm, and it’s my favorite time of year. Even Spider the kitten is excited about the new fallen leaves.
I have to say I’m a wee bit jealous of her – as she’s become a master at going incognito in her leaf surroundings.
Even Cricket can’t figure out how not to stick out like a sore thumb.
And Trooper, don’t even get me started on him, sometimes I don’t even think he tries!
I on the other hand “might” be able to pull off the incognito look, had somebody (*cough* mom) not dressed me in BRIGHT BLUE! Sheesh!
But, despite my shortcomings in the incognito department I can still chase the cats….
….and romp with the dogs. Blue coat and all! Happy Fall to All!
Friday is the first day of Autumn here in the good old US of A. Which means the apple tree in my back yard is looking a lot like this lately:
Fall is my favorite time of year, not only is my Birthday in 2 weeks (October 5th to be exact), but it’s the anniversary of when I met my family. So to pre-celebrate the lovely fallness, I had a little chow down on my first apple of the season.
This means I don’t have to go to my annual vet check up in November then, right?
