I wanted to pop in today and wish everyone a very merry St. Patrick’s Day! Yippee!
I may be German at my core, but everybody can be a redhead on St. Patrick’s Day!
So put a little jig in your step, because today’s the day for a little mischief!
And don’t worry, no matter what happens, you can always blame it on the leprechauns! 
St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, so I decided to make sure I had the perfect green outfit to wear for the big day. It never hurts to be prepared.
My clover tie was looking great, but I knew it needed a little something.
Oh yes, the top hat totally makes the outfit!
I’m ready for my night on the town with my Leprechaun posse. Don’t tell mom, but we like to get into a wee bit o mischief on St. Patrick’s Day. Only 4 more days to go!
Sigh, I’m not sure I can wait that long!
I know technically it isn’t St. Patrick’s Day yet, and I’m really not Irish (although I do have pretty red hair), but I just couldn’t wait any longer to break out my green!
I was also secretly hoping that my “holiday spirit” would entice the Leprechauns to come out and play!
Remember last year when I came soooo close to getting my paws on some of the Leprechaun gold?
Well, this year I decided instead of hunting down the Leprechaun “den”, I’d let them come to me.
I have a feeling those Leprechauns know how to party! And maybe, just maybe, they’ll come party with me at my house.
And if they happen to bring some of their gold along with them – I definitely wouldn’t complain.
So come join the party Leprechauns! I’ve got kibble for everyone!
Remember when I went searching in the woods for gnomes, trolls, and leprechauns a few days ago with Trooper? Well I did it. I found the leprechaun hole! Leprechauns live in holes right?
This must be where the Leprechauns live, I can smell their gold!
I was soooo close to catching them. But they had it pretty well booby trapped with briers.
I decided I’ll have to come back when Trooper is around to help me. Unless his dainty paws can’t handle the thorns.
Mark my words Leprechauns, I’ll get my paws on that gold!

Ah the smell of the great outdoors! It’s right up there with the smell of dead animals, bacon, and ponies. Being a farm dog means that there is PLENTY to explore. With 20 glorious acres on the family farm, there is lots of untouched and uncharted territory for one short legged Dachshund like myself. So when mom asked me last week if I wanted to go exploring in the woods, what else can you say but, heck yes I do!
It’s been a while since I last explored me some woods out at the farm, so I kinda thought there might be a chance of finding some woodland creatures. Alas, no hidden gnomes or scary trolls in these parts. Not even a hint of leprechaun gold either! Drat.
Woodland creature hunting sure wore me out. Me and Trooper are already planning our next exploring trip. I told Trooper we need to get a super cool predator vision night goggle cam like our pal Baxter the Dachshund so we can catch those sneaky leprechauns when they come out at night. hehe.
