Yesterday my family said goodbye to a very special lady. My Super MomMom will be greatly missed, but I’m thankful for all the special memories I have of her.
Gone, but never forgotten.

A couple of weeks ago I attended a very special Birthday party. It was a party for my Super Mom-Mom’s 90th Birthday!!
I came to the party armed with my most festive party hat, ready to celebrate the day with my family.
I even brought along a special Birthday surprise that my mom helped me make at the shop.
My cousins and I waited patiently for the very best part of the day…
….singing Super Mom-Mom Happy Birthday!
Happy 90th Birthday Super Mom-Mom…..I can’t wait to celebrate your 91st Birthday with you next year!
Party on!
Over the weekend I took a little trip to a special nursing home, St. Martha Manor.
I wore my fanciest outfit, which everyone said made me look oh-so-dapper!
I didn’t get many pictures of my visit as I was quite busy visiting some special people! But I’m pretty sure everyone had a great time, myself included!
And next time I’m going to have to bring a booster seat, because I missed out on quite a bit of fun once bingo started!
Today is Mother’s Day, and I just wanted to pop in to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there! Whether you’re a mom to a four-legged kid or a two-legged kid (or both), I wanted to tell you that you are great!
You mom’s are the real super heroes of the World, and without you we’d all be lost!
So I’m sending some happy tail wags to all of the mom’s today, even those who are no longer with us. Know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts and we love you more every day!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all that you do. xoxo,
Saying goodbye is never easy, and today I am saying goodbye to a very special lady, my great-grandma.
Over the years Trooper and I have enjoyed making visits to the nursing home where she lived. I would show her the new tricks I learned and take walks up and down the hallways. She inspired me to become a therapy dog, and although our favorite familiar face won’t be there any longer, we hope to continue to visit our friends there.
We miss you Grandmaruth and we’ll be thinking of you every time we play a round of Kings in the Corner. xoxo
I may not be a regular like Trooper, but I’m no stranger to a nursing home visit. And when I do visit, it’s the highlight of my day!
Getting to ride the elevator is so much fun, especially when mom lets me press the button!
Then me and Trooper get to spend time visiting with everyone – and posing for the mandated photo op.
Everyone always has a good time, because honestly, who doesn’t love a Dachshund in a sweater? But at the end of the day I really only came for one thing……
….to whoop everyone at Kings in the Corner!
For me, an elevator ride usually means one thing……we’re visiting great-grandma!
Over the weekend me and Trooper took a trip to visit my great-grandma.
Trooper’s favorite part about our visits is greeting all the residents at the nursing home (and the nurses). Here we are waiting for someone to say hi to.
My favorite part is getting the “scraps” that are inevitably left EVERYWHERE!
It’s like they knew I was coming and set out a special treat just for me. Mmmmmm….cheese….
