I love getting packages in the mail, and when the BarkBox arrives I know that it’s always stocked full of lots of goodies for me. I thought it would be fun to show you exactly what arrived in this month’s box….

Simply Fido – these adorable interactive toys are meant for tugging, squeaking, and snuggling. They are made with organic, non-toxic materials and low-impact, AZO-free dyes.

Planet Dog – made with no wheat, corn or soy these pumpkin treats are perfect for snacking. Did you know pumpkin is a natural digestive aid and stomach-soother?

I may have had a little too much fun with my BarkBox, but hey, there’s no reason not to!

Friday Fetch with BarkBox // Ammo the Dachshund

And did you know that BarkBox also has a web shop stocked full of fun goodies for humans too?

Friday Fetch with BarkBox // Ammo the Dachshund

Their belly rub t-shirt was so comfy that I almost stole it for myself.

But then I felt bad that mom never gets any goodies in the mail, so I decided to let her have the t-shirt. Plus the tote bag was a little more my size anyway! *wink*

Evanger's Wild Salmon Treats Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

My friends over at Chewy.com recently sent over this package of Evanger’s Wild Salmon Freeze Dried Treats for me to try.

They smelled so delish that I couldn’t even keep my paws off them long enough for mom to snap a few photos.

Evanger's Wild Salmon Treats Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

Wild Salmon is high in protein and low in calories and saturated fat. Great to give your pets with food allergies and they’re also made in the USA.

Made with just one ingredient (Salmon) these treats tasted like they were fresh out of the stream! They were a bit too crumbly to be used as a training treat when we are out and about, but made for the perfect after dinner snack!

Even though I sometimes like to bark at big dogs, don’t ALWAYS come when I’m called, and left a stinky little present at grandma’s house, I still think I deserve all of the items on my Christmas Wish List. I will try harder next year.

Step 3: Tear away the excess and poke your bamboo skewer into the spot where you want the string for hanging to be.

Step 4: (optional) You can stamp a name or word into your ornament using the rubber stamps if you choose. It’s a great way to personalize them for all your friends! (no ink required as you will be painting them later)

12 Days of Cheer! Easy DIY Gold Dog Ornaments // Ammo the Dachshund

Step 5: Allow the model magic ornaments to dry for several days so that they harden. (they will harden faster if you set them near a heat source (not on it!) and remove them from the wax paper)

12 Days of Cheer! Easy DIY Gold Dog Ornaments // Ammo the Dachshund

Step 6: Once your ornaments have hardened you can add a few coats of gold spray paint (or really any color you like). Optional – add some glitter by sprinkling it on while your paint is still wet.

Then just add some twine and your ornaments are ready to hang on your tree or gift to a friend!

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

I don’t know about you, but I just loooove getting mail. And when it’s a package, oh boy, that just totally gets my tail wagging! So when I got the opportunity to test out PetBox, a monthly delivery service that sends treats and toys and goodies right to your front door, well I think my tail was about to fall off from wagging too much!

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

Now PetBox isn’t your average pet subscription box, see they actually allow members to choose their own products that go into their boxes each month. So you can opt to choose exactly what goodies your dog is getting or let it be a fun surprise, which is what I did.

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

When my box arrived I was surprised to see how many goodies were actually packed inside!

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

So lets take a closer look and see what I actually got inside my PetBox…..

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

Pet Rescue Decal ($5.99) – these exterior window decals are designed to keep your pets safe incase of an emergency. Mom said she used to have one of these on her door at home when she was a kid and completely forgot that we don’t have one at our house. Well thanks to PetBox now I have one too!

NoviPet Multivitamin ($11.99) – these vitamins provide the essential nutrients for optimal pet health. As I get up there in age I’m sure adding a daily vitamin to my diet can only help! Gotta keep this body in tip-top shape!

Aussie Naturals Duck Toy ($14.99) – this jute and leather toy is designed to be “hard to kill”, and so far so good in my tough paws, because we all know what a “killer” I am!

Earth Heart Canine Calm Spray ($12.99) – this natural remedy mist is easy to use by lightly misting your fingertips and gently massaging the dog’s outer ears or abdomen. I’m pretty sure mom will be taking this along on our next vet visit, as I must admit I get a little anxious when the word “shots” is mentioned.

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

The Honest Kitchen Smooches ($7.99) – These low calorie sweet treats are made of all human grade ingredients with no artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors. When they’re made this healthy you can bet I’ll be getting to eat even more of them!

Clear Conscience Sliders & Tenderstikz ($11.99) – These are the first tender moist pet treats with NO glycerin or “vegetable” glycerin, NO propylene glycol, and NO sugars or syrups. They had me at tender and moist for sure!

Healthy Dogma Cookies ($5.95) – These pet teats are a natural and healthy alternative to processed treats. They’re also the perfect petite size for mom to carry with her during my training sessions.

Now if you add up all the products in my PetBox you would come up with a total of over $70! But guess what, you can get a PetBox subscription for as low as $29 a month!

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

As you’ll notice from the top of my PetBox, one of my guiltiest pleasures is COOKIES – I’m pretty sure I would stuff myself silly if Mom weren’t there to make sure I didn’t over-eat and only ate the healthy ones. It’s a good thing my PetBox came stuffed to the brim with cookies of the healthy variety!

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

Yummy yummy yummy in my tummy tummy tummy!

PetBox Monthly Dog Subscription Service Review & Giveaway // Ammo the Dachshund

Oh and as an extra bonus, once your PetBox is empty it makes for a super awesome fort (just the right size for little Dachshund bodies) – and don’t worry, you only have to wait a couple more weeks for another box of goodies to show up at your doorstep if you sign up for a subscription.

You can even use the code AMMO20 for a 20% discount on your PetBox subscription.

But my very favorite part about PetBox is that this month PetBox is running a Profits For Paws December campaign. For the entire month of December, PetBox is giving back 100% of it’s profits to pet charities across the United States. Now how can you not love a company that helps animals in need?

12 Days of Cheer! Hunting for the Perfect Tree

Part of my yearly Holiday tradition is to go shopping for the perfect Christmas tree. Only this years tree hunt was a little extra special.

12 Days of Cheer! Shopping for the Perfect Tree // Ammo the Dachshund

I headed out to my favorite tree shopping spot, the TriColor Tree Farm and much to my surprise it had started to snow! Now if a little winter blizzard during Christmas Tree shopping doesn’t spell Christmas than I don’t know what does.

12 Days of Cheer! Shopping for the Perfect Tree // Ammo the Dachshund

Of course before the tree hunt could begin I had to make sure the tree field was groundhog free. I just can’t help myself!

12 Days of Cheer! Shopping for the Perfect Tree // Ammo the Dachshund

Once I cleared the field of pesky groundhogs, I wasted no time in picking out the perfect little petite tree.

12 Days of Cheer! Shopping for the Perfect Tree // Ammo the Dachshund

Before we cut it down we had to take the obligatory “pose with the tree for posting on Facebook later” photos. It’s absolutely necessary in the Holiday Tree Hunt.

Once that was over with, it was time to cut that suckka down!

After the nice people at TriColor Tree Farm helped me wrap up my tree I was ready to bring it home for some decorating fun!

Ta-da! Isn’t is gorgeous? I decorated it all by myself too!

Ok well I might have had a little help with the angel. Curse of the short legs and all!

Happy Christmas!
