Even though I’m on a bit of a blogging vacation, I just couldn’t in good conscience leave without sharing the very last monthly update for my little sister now that she’s officially 1 year old!

On August 7th my sister celebrated an entire year of life, and it’s hard to believe that it’s been an entire year since she changed my life completely.

Not gonna lie, it was a big adjustment at first, but I’m really starting to enjoy the sweet hugs my sister gives me and our night time tug-of-war ritual.

Some days are tougher than others…

…but at the end of the day she’s my very biggest fan, and I can’t imagine my life without her now.

I have a feeling that my days of princess dress-up and Disney movies are just around the corner. And I’m totally ready!

I can hardly believe that it’s been 1/2 a year since Baby P was born! She’s growing up much too fast!

While she’s now sitting up and eating real foods, and even attempting to crawl a little….there are some things that haven’t changed one bit…

…and that’s her love for her favorite puppy in the whole wide world, me! (She’s not even embarrassed to kiss me in front of the camera!) In fact she loves me so much that everytime she sees me I get greeted with a high pitched excited squeal. That or maybe she thinks my name is Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

We’re both already planning all of our Spring and Summer adventures…especially once she starts walking and I can show her all of my favorite groundhog holes. So much to do, so little time.

Adventure Awaits on the Road Ahead

As you read this I’m off on a week long road trip with my family as I head to Nashville Tennessee for this year’s BlogPaws Conference!

Just in time for Valentine’s Day I have a simple and easy DIY that your dog is going to love! My DIY Flirt Pole is an interactive dog toy that entices your dog to chase a fast moving lure. The Flirt Pole is quickly becoming my absolute favorite toy to play with. It’s also a great way to exercise high-energy dogs – and if you have been snowed in for as long as I have this is a must!

Supplies:

Step One: If you want your flirt pole to be extra colorful you may want to paint it. I painted mine to have a silvery finish.

Step Two: Once your paint is dry twist a screw eye into one end of it.

Step Three: Cut your fleece into two 25″ x 5″ strips. Alternatively you could also use an old stuffed toy that your dog loves as well.

Step Four: Tie your rope around the middle of your fleece strips.

Step Five: Braid the ends of your fleece and tie it in a knot at the bottom.

Step Six: Tie the other end of your rope to the screw eye on your dowel. You’re now ready to have a blast playing with your dog!
