Over the weekend I visited my ponies on the farm. It was muddy and wet and oh so much fun!
I even had a little fun digging for critters!
What kind of fun did you have this weekend?

You may have already heard, but it’s official, my 2014 wall calendar has hit the shelves!
Packed with lots of photos from my adventures this past year, it’s sure to put a smile on your face each new month.
The perfect size to hang above your desk, next to your kitchen sink, or on the wall next to your bed – it even includes a bulldog clip for easy hanging.
So tell your friends, tell your mom, tell everyone you know! You can purchase one of my 2014 Calendars in my Etsy Shop! Soon I will be coming out with some Holiday cards and several new products as well, so stay tuned. And if you need even more smiles every month, make sure you check out the Painting Ponies’ 2014 Calendar too!
So, as most of you know my mom left me home last week while she went on a fantastical adventure with two of my favorite ponies, Minnow and Boomerang, to Chincoteague Island for the 88th Annual Pony Penning.
They got to do amazing things like check out the wild pony round-up, swim, and auction – and they even got to perform all week at the Chincoteague Pony Centre.
My mom took some amazing pictures, so even though I wasn’t there – her photos make me feel like I was! You can check them all out HERE.
But I was most excited to hear about how my ponies did in their big performances, especially Boomerang who did an amazing job on his very FIRST debut – I’m pretty sure everyone was super impressed with the bean bag sitting skills that I taught him.
Even my special pony Minnow did an amazing job painting some beautiful pictures that were auctioned off after each show – with part of the money going to help local animal rescue groups!
The ponies will have their own recap of all their adventures on their blog soon!
And while you may think I just spent my week at home like this:
I actually had quite a few adventures of my own at home with dad! But those will have to wait for another post!
But you can check out all the fun my ponies had on their facebook page, and soon on their blog.
This is Minnow, one of the most talented artists you’ll ever meet, and he’s my bestest pony friend.
Painting is one of Minnow’s favorite things to do, can’t you tell by that big smile on his face?
When Minnow gets ready to paint I’m never far from his side, because every great artist needs an assistant.
Trooper likes to help too sometimes, but he doesn’t always have the focus to be a great painting assistant.
I on the other hand might as well have paint flowing through my veins, and the messier the job the better!
I did a pretty good job helping Minnow make a mess now didn’t I?
Check out more of the famous paintings by Minnow and his pals at www.PaintingPony.com – also make sure you follow them on Facebook!
It’s been raining in Pennsylvania A LOT, like as in thunderstorms most nights and sometimes all day long. But it’s also been hot hot hot. So while I hate that the rain sometimes puts a damper on my plans, I’m loving that it’s created a personal puddle on the farm just for me to cool off in.
It may not be crystal clear waters, but it’s the perfect place to cool off, and maybe fetch a few sticks in too.
With just a couple more inches of rain I’d have to slap on my life vest and call it my own personal swimming puddle.
If anyone needs me I’ll be dipping my paws into my personal puddle, and dreaming I’m at the beach chasing crabs out to sea! Keep cool friends!
It’s time to take a look back over the past month at all the exciting things I’ve done! So just incase you missed it, here are some of my highlights from June!
I took my annual trip to the Devon Horse Show and even got to see the One Arm Bandit. Bandit at the Devon Horse Show.

I winked for all my fans with photos For the Ladies.
I worked extra hard at the shop during Take Your Dog to Work Day.
I tried some yummy treats with a Product Review: Fromm Treats from Chewy.com

I proved why I’m the King of the Castle.
I’m looking forward to many more adventures in July!
Since I was just a wee pup I was instilled with a love of the arts. Not only do I paint myself, but I live with some super talented Painting Ponies! And while you might think having animal artists in the family is quite a feat, my mom and dad are no stranger to the arts themselves. My dad is a graphic designer (who spends his free time designing posters that you can purchase HERE) and my mom is a picture framer (check out the shop where I work HERE).
With a love of art spreading across my family, it’s no wonder that my home has turned into an art gallery of sorts. I thought it would be fun to take you for a tour around my home and show you some of the latest and greatest artistic treasures that are currently making my home just a bit more cheerful!
When I attended the Spring Doxie Fest this year I picked up a happy little Dachshund print from artist, Debbie Sampson. Of course mom framed him up in a happy yellow frame that makes him extra cheerful!

Back in November mom picked up this cute little dachshund print from Kim at Yellow Brick Home. He kind of has an uncanny resemblance to yours truly.

This happy horse head was a Christmas gift to my mom and came from White Faux Taxidermy – and not to worry, he’s completely made of resin (no real taxidermy horses here).

Of course the ceramic dachshund my mom found at Home Goods last year keeps Mr. Fake Pony company in my office, because everything is better with the buddy system.
These two pieces arrived around Christmas time. One being a rendering of my home by the talented Rebekkah Seale and the other a very special original painting of cows done by the ever amazing Janis Fitch.

Those cows just remind me of how lucky I am to have grown up in farm country, where the smell of cattle and horses are just a few steps out my backdoor. Not to mention those yummy cow pies!
And the last little art trinket is one that just makes me giggle – this sweet little screen printed squirrel from the Land of Nod (meant to be an ornament) is happily hanging on my cork board in the living room. He may not nibble on acorns in real life, but he reminds me that there are plenty of critters just out my back door begging to be chased. Happy Hunting!
where to purchase: Squirrel Ornament
With all these artists and artistic pieces in my home it’s no wonder that I spend most of my life with a camera in my face. Of course I like to think that I’ll always be mom and dad’s number one muse!
I’m always on the lookout for new artists and art to add to my “gallery”, so I’d love to hear which ones you are admiring currently! Post your links in the comments so we can all check out some amazing art together! Yay for artists!
*all artwork has been custom framed by my mom at Studio 3.
Today is Mother’s Day, and I just wanted to pop in to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mom’s out there! Whether you’re a mom to a four-legged kid or a two-legged kid (or both), I wanted to tell you that you are great!
You mom’s are the real super heroes of the World, and without you we’d all be lost!
So I’m sending some happy tail wags to all of the mom’s today, even those who are no longer with us. Know that you will always hold a special place in our hearts and we love you more every day!
Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all that you do. xoxo,
Lazy and Farm aren’t typically words that go together, but when the weather suddenly hits near 90 degrees in the Spring (when it was in the 40’s) it can get lazy on the farm pretty quick!
So here’s a little taste of what’s been going on around the farm lately:
The farm is one of my favorite places to be, just spending time relaxing with all of my friends.
Now that mom is no longer confined to crutches, my weekends are starting to include lots of fun activities again. Here’s a little look into what I was up to this weekend…
Sunbathing at the shop with my gal pal Liebe!
Playing dress-up with some of the new jewelry at the shop.
Inspecting Trooper’s new house.
And hanging out with some of my favorite friends on the farm!
What did you do this weekend?
