My weekends always seem to be filled with non-stop adventures. Sleeping the day away is not an option when there are lots of things to see and do. So here’s a little recap of all the adventures I had this past weekend…
Visiting the nursing home.
Hanging out with my ponies.
Playing with my friend Shilah at the park.
What kind of adventures did you have this weekend?
Screaming at the top of my lungs this past weekend to cheer on my pal Boomerang wasn’t the only highlight of my trip to Maryland. Oh yes, I got to go camping with my family!
After helping pack the horse trailer – Boomerang, mom, dad and me headed south for the weekend.
I love camping because it means I get to spend lots of time outdoors doing manly outdoor things….like collecting sticks.
Helping dad build the campfire is also quite fun – although it is a shame that all those perfect chewing sticks will soon be going up in flames.
But, it was quite chilly on Saturday night, so I was happy to sacrifice a few of my sticks for the sake of warmth.
I’m a fan of a lot of things – cheese, hot dogs, squeaky toys – but being a Number One Fan requires a lot more work.
You have to pay attention at all times so you don’t miss a second of the action.
You have to be willing to brave the elements and come prepared with extra blankies.
You have to keep your eyes glued on your favorite players at all times.
You have to keep a mental score as well.
You have to cheer the loudest out of anyone.
You have to empathize when the game gets a little tough.
You must never give up hope.
And you must ride along during every race as if you were there.
Congrats to my pal Boomerang for an excellent weekend competing in the MGAA Mid-Atlantic #1 Games Competition. And thanks for letting me come along for the ride.
I may not have been frolicking around in the pasture with the ponies in real life, but I certainly was in spirit (although you can catch a glimpse of me in the video below).
Blitz, Boomerang and Minnow really know how to have a good time!
Nothing like a good romp in the mud on a rainy day!
Some of my weekend plans got washed away when a big storm came rolling in on Saturday night.
I’ll admit, I was a little sad that I had to spend most of my weekend inside of the barn instead of hunting groundhogs and running around the farm.
In fact, I was tempted just to park myself in the comfiest spot I could find and ride out the storm.
My plans changed though when Nitro whispered in my ear, “Hey Ammo, Do you think if it keeps raining like this that we might all float away?”
Float away? Float away?
Definitely not on my watch!
And boy did I watch!
And after all that watching nothing got “floated away” – well aside from some of my earthworm pals (but I’m fairly certain they can swim pretty well….I think).
Just as a precaution though I packed my emergency swimmies in mom’s car and my Chincoteague Pony Pals on the farm assured me that they are excellent swimmers. It’s times like these that I’m glad I have friends that were born on an island!
Sometimes I’m completely perplexed as to how I land myself in the bathtub at the end of the day. However, this was not one of those times.
See last week the ponies had a new “obstacle” set up in the arena that I just couldn’t keep my paws off of.
It’s enticing “dirtiness” and tunneling capabilities were just calling my name.
And when Boomerang pointed out that I had a little something on my face – I knew my trip to the bathtub was inevitable.
Sigh. At least smelling like sunshine again isn’t all that bad.

You might remember that for Christmas I got a special little gift card from my Mom & Dad to get a custom painting of myself from Yellow Brick Home. Well, a few days ago a little package arrived at my door from the very talented Kim Vargo.
I couldn’t believe how much it looked like me! Mom says she even captured the special feisty little look in my eyes.
After modeling for a few photos with Mom and sending Kim some of my favorites from years past, I was so excited to see the results. Kim even said I was the very first Super Hero she got to paint! (I’m the cutest too, right?)
Mom hung it up in my home office for me, and I really can’t help but stare at it all day long!
Oh handsome little hero on the wall – you are just way too cool!
You can get your own custom pet paintings from Kim @ Yellow Brick Home (make sure you tell her the cutest Super Hero EVER sent you!)
*I was not paid or perk’d to write this post – I’m just super super excited about my new portrait!
He’s a super talented painting pony who also happens to be one of my bestest friends (I know him!).
And it’s because of my bestest pal Minnow that I get to go to super cool events like the Brandywine Point to Point Races and watch horses race through terrain and over fences at lightning speed. Super cool right?
But, do you know what else is cool? Super Heroes. And this little Super Hero loves to work the crowd at super cool events where horses race through terrain and over fences at lightning speed.
I mingle with the ladies.
And draw in the crowd with my sleek look and awesome cape.
I even get the laughs when I bust out my stunt helmet for my death-defying tricks.
And just when they think theres no more, I bust out the big guns and amaze everyone with my big finale “bang” trick. It’s a tough job, but someones got to do it.
This brand-new product was immediately on my wish list as soon as I saw it. It’s the perfect blend of “pony” and “pup” for me!
