Don’t you wish it could be summer forever? I sure do, because I always seem to have so much fun in the summer!

I got my running in with my new activity tracker from Poof!

I contemplated starting my own lake school.

I celebrated yet another happy month with Baby P.

I had a blast turning my likeness into Pop Art.

I went on a shopping trip with my sister.

I shared some of the fun summer products I’m currently digging.

I visited the pool.

I got detained on the farm.

And that brings us to August! Can you believe it’s just about been an entire year since my sister Baby P was born? Boy, time really flies when you’re having fun.

Dog Days at the Pool

For Father’s Day last weekend I decided to hit up the pool. It was a perfectly hot day, which meant it was a great way to cool off in the summer heat.

You may have even noticed my super cool new tank top, gifted to me from my pals at Martha Stewart Pets. I’m sure you can probably guess why I decided to wear it to the pool….

….because when I flex it really shows off my guns! Which way to the pool ladies?

After floating around for a bit it quickly became evident that there wasn’t going to be any ladies on this particular trip to the pool. Well unless you count mom and my aunts….but they don’t really count at all!

That’s ok though, because the “FEED ME” sign on my back seemed to work pretty well as everyone thought I looked adorable and was happy to toss me a cookie or two while I was floating around. Score 1 for the Martha Stewart Pets Shark Tee!

Eventually all my cousins showed up to play and it was time to strap on my life vest and get to the serious business of swimming!

I even got in some quality time with my dad as I worked on my dog paddling skills.

Swimming is a great calorie burner and I gotta keep up my fit figure for whenever those ladies do decide to show up at the pool!

My most important job of the day though is when I’m put on life guard duty. Someone has to make sure the cousins don’t drown, and when things get out of hand I have no problem barking up a storm to alert everyone of all the “unsafe” antics going on in the water. And despite what mom and dad say, it is not annoying, it’s necessary!

Hot summer days are always best spent by the pool, which is exactly where I headed last weekend!

I took some relaxing raft rides.

I even worked on my tan.

But what I was most excited for was to dig into this month’s Barkbox!

Mom took some great videos of me enjoying my Barkbox poolside, unfortunately the computer decided the videos looked way too yummy to share and ate them all! So instead I’ll have to share my pool adventures with you via photographs. Hopefully you won’t be as sad about it as I am.

So after digging into my Barkbox I decided to break open the Louisiana Crab Jerky, because everyone knows you have to eat crab when you lounge by the pool.

I even chowed down on these PetSafe Indigo Chews, which tasted just as yummy even though mom says they are supposed to boost my antioxidants and clean my teeth all at the same time!

In fact I was having so much fun with my Barkbox that I decided to take it out to sea with me. Dad may or may not have had to save me when I drifted a bit too far.

Sadly we had an incident on the water though, as Mr. Whale forgot to wear his life vest and took a tumble into the pool.

Not to worry though, I’m an expert life guard – and wasted no time in rushing to his rescue.
