Throwback Thursday: Puppy Trooper

Ever since I was 8 weeks old my buddy Trooper has been the dog I looked up to. He came to the shop with me everyday, where he was in charge of “training” me for the first year or so of my life. I like to think that I got my sassiness from Trooper himself, and I’m pretty sure these videos of a young puppy Trooper (before I knew him) hanging out at the shop totally prove my point!

P.S. Isn’t it amazing how much lighter Trooper’s coat was when he was a puppy? Now everyone just thinks he’s really old with his mostly black coat with bits of gray. (he’s only 7)

Officially Summer

This past Saturday was the official start of summer.

To say I’m thrilled is an understatement! I’m ready for backyard cookouts, trips to the lake, beach adventures, swimming, ice cream (the dog friendly kind), camping, and everything that comes with warm summer months.

But most of all I’m excited for summer sun bathing in my backyard!

Throwback Thursday: Wrestle Buddies

More often than not the day was spent napping or wrestling with my best friend. We quickly learned that while at work we had to “silent wrestle” aside from the occasional “uncle” shouts – most often coming from Trooper!

Spring is almost here (yes really), and I can always tell when it’s just around the corner because my pony friends start to shed all of their hair!

While this year it seems the winter storms have come in full force to my area, for the past couple of years we haven’t really had any record snowfall. In fact, the last time we had big blizzards like this I was just a wee pup. So today for Throwback Thursday I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some old snow videos circa 2009!

As you can see I loved the snow even when I was a pup – it makes for the best tunneling and digging adventures!

One of the questions I get a lot is why do I tolerate wearing coats, sweaters, and even costumes so well? The answer is simple, I was born in October and warm outfits became an important part of my everyday life to keep me warm at a very young age!
