It’s Throwback Thursday time! I dug through my old puppy photos and pulled out these gems to share with you today.
I was pretty cute, right? Well it’s about to get even cuter – because there is one thing I’m pretty sure none of you can resist…..it’s the elusive puppy head tilt!
What’s that you say, you’ve melted into a puddle of goo? Yea, I can have that effect. *wink*
Since I’ve been laying a little low lately (while mom’s recovering from knee surgery), I decided it would be fun to share some of my adorably cute photos from my puppy years. I didn’t have a blog back then, so these photos haven’t seen the light of day in quite some time. But have no fear, it’s Throwback Thursday time, and I’ve dug through my archives and found some super sweet puppy pictures to brighten your day!
As you can see, even at a couple months old I was quite the athletic guy! It’s no wonder my muscles are huge now. And check out my spots! I bet you didn’t know that I’m actually a red dapple, and at certain times of the year (when the sun hits me just right) my spots are much more visible.

I don’t talk a lot about the training methods my mom uses with me on the blog (but I should!), but since I was just a wee pup my mom has been using clicker training with me. The other day I got to take a much needed trip to Petco.
And by much needed, I mean I NEEDED new toys.
After agonizing over the perfect toy to choose I picked out these two and was excited to give them a whirl when I got home.
I was having a grand time playing with my new toys in my yard when my neighbor Harley the Rottweiler peeked her head over the fence.
New toys are grand, but having a real friend to play with is so much sweeter.
As you may already know, I’m on an imagination adventure while my pal Minnow the Painting Pony is performing at Pony Penning all week with my mom. On tuesday I went to outer space, yesterday I went under the sea and today I’m on a journey to Dinosaur Land!
I brought my binoculars with me, because I’m really hoping to see some Dinosaurs up close and personal!
Wouldn’t it be awesome if I saw a T-Rex? Did you know my mom and dad almost named me T-Rex (which is awesome by the way) on account of my stubby little arms.
I’m just as scary as a T-Rex too…just check out my ferocious growl! So don’t worry, should I happen upon any Dinosaurs I can totally hold my own!

Have I told you about my R.L. (that’s “real life”) Dachshund friend Leo?
He lives down the street from mom’s shop and is a feisty 7 month old black and tan mini doxie dude! (Although I hear he won’t be a “real dude” for much longer – sorry pal).
Arguably Leo is a lot younger than me (I’ve got 3 years on him), so I’ve decided to teach him the ways of the World. Don’t tell him I said so – but his hunting skills need a lot of work!
I’ve got a lot of work ahead to make Leo into my sidekick.
But I’m pretty sure with an excellent teacher like me he’ll have to turn out Super Awesome.
Homework assignment #1 for Leo: Eat all of your veggies so that you can “leap tall buildings in a single bound” just like me!
