I wanted to pop in and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
From my team to yours, have the merriest of Christmases!
……
…….
And in case you were wondering, yes, my team is getting just a wee bit bigger in early March!
P and I are very excited to meet our new little sister in about 2 months. I’ve got a lot of work to do between now and then to teach P how to be a big sibling, but I think she’ll be up to the challenge.
Merry Christmas friends! I hope Santa was good to you! xoxo,
A few weekends ago I took Baby P on a very special outing. I took her to her very first Christmas parade!
The real reason I’m always in attendance of my town’s holiday parade is to entertain the customers at our shop. I always do a pretty good job of that (nobody’s better than me at playing dead), and this year Baby P even helped me out by squealing and dancing for all the visitors too (only my camera crew missed catching that, shame on them). It was nice to have a little extra help, entertaining customers is hard work!
But after our duties at the shop (and more than a few diaper changes for Baby P), we hit the streets to watch the parade.
Fire trucks and flashing lights are always a favorite for me and now my sister too, but the music really gets us in the Christmas mood!
I was super excited to see some fellow low riders in the parade! Although I’m pretty sure I totally had them out dressed!
Baby P though, she got to wave to Santa! I admit, I was a bit jealous, but then I remembered that I’ve had 8 years of Santa visiting my house just for me, so I felt a little better about sharing Santa with my sister this year. Overall we had a blast at the Holiday Parade this year, and I can’t wait until next year when my sister will be running around at it with me!
Only 3 more sleeps until I get to see what Santa brings me under the tree! I can’t wait!
Just before Thanksgiving I went on a special adventure to visit Santa! Now I know what you’re thinking, visiting Santa before Thanksgiving? But hey….
…no lines! And when you have your little baby sister with you, no lines is a good thing!
That’s right, this was Baby P’s first time visiting with Santa. And you know I taught her well when the first thing she did was to tug on Santa’s beard to make sure it was real. You can never be too careful these days!
And if you’re thinking I let Baby P have all the fun, you would be mistaken. I NEVER pass up the opportunity to tell a jolly man in a red suit EXACTLY what I want for Christmas!
Next year Baby P and I need to work on our smiles. (It’s always hard to concentrate on picture taking when you’re trying to remember your Christmas wish list). We’ll get there.
It was fun to actually have a buddy to visit Santa with this year, after all, for the past 8 years I’ve been doing it solo. Santa is always more fun with friends!
Christmas will be here before you know it, and since I know Santa would totally appreciate a little extra help when it comes to my wish list I decided to make it a little easier on him. So here’s what I’m hoping finds it’s way into his sleigh this year.
*this post contains affiliate links, but it’s all products I would love to call my own!
And because my little sister, Baby P didn’t want to be left out I helped her pick out a few things for her wish list too. As you can see I have had quite the influence on her, and some of the items are things I’m hoping to enjoy with her too!
Even thought Christmas has come and gone, I haven’t forgotten about sharing just what sort of adventures I went on during my holiday break! So here’s my fun recap of all things Christmasy…
My Christmas eve started off pretty uneventful, as I still had to fulfill my shop dog duties for all the customers that needed to pick up their picture framing.
But eventually it was time to head over to Trooper’s house at the farm so that I could celebrate with him and my extended family.
I got busy right away helping to clean up around the kitchen. (apparently Trooper is slacking on his floor licking duties).
But elsewhere, the tree decorating fun was well underway! (and let’s be honest, my 6 foot 3 Uncle Taylor was much more suited for putting the angel on top than short little me)
The rest of the night consisted of gift giving, sock stealing (on Trooper’s part), good times with my family, and maybe just a few naps too. Before I knew it, it was time to head home so that Santa could bring me some presents!
When I woke on Christmas morning I was so excited! Honestly, I wasn’t sure if Santa would bring me anything after I caught that bunny in the backyard, and got on the dining room table to steal food (oops). But I guess my “goodness” outweighed the bad this year, because he brought me lots of fun presents!
From a December Barkbox filled with fun treats and toys….
My favorite new toy though, the Bouncing Squirrel Tail mom and dad bought me from the Barkshop! (you can snag one for your pup from the Barkshop with code AMMO for a FREE PRIZE at checkout). I’ve been having a blast with my new toy over the past few weeks!
Christmas is always an exciting whirlwind, and just as things were winding down mom and dad said we had to get ready to go to my MomMom & PopPop’s house.
I always love going to MomMom & PopPop’s house, because without fail, PopPop always manages to “drop” food on the floor. 😉
There was also plenty of time for more gift giving and playing with my cousins too (who coincidently also LOVED my new Bouncing Squirrel Tail too).
Christmas with my family is always a special time. Despite my excitement about all the gifts and food, my very favorite part is getting to be with the one’s I love.
Of course if you know me and my family, then you know that even though Christmas was over, the fun never stops at my house. The day after Christmas I was hitting the hiking trail with more of my family! After all, we had to burn off all those Christmas dinner calories we had the day before!
I’m already counting down the days until next Christmas! What sort of fun did you have for the holiday?
I hope you all have the merriest of Christmases! I’m taking a little blogging break between now and New Years to catch up on all my sleep. But I’ll be back in 2016 with more adventures to share!
It’s crunch time for me and my mom this week at the shop, so I’ve got my very best helper hat on and I’m busy busy helping mom finish up all the picture framing orders.
So I don’t have a fun video, or a long adventure post, or even any pictures of me on the farm to share today…..just little old me in my very best helper hat.
It’s a very important job being a helper dog, and I hope you’ll understand that today all my helper duties are being used at the shop!
Until my next adventure that is! See you soon. xoxo,
The holiday season can be sort of a crazy time around my house. Presents to buy, parties to attend, all while trying to help my mom with the busy holiday rush at her shop. It can get pretty exhausting for everyone.
Don’t worry though, when it comes time to wrap all the holiday presents I’m always around to lend a helping paw.
Even if it means I have to work through my nap time.
Last weekend crowds of people began gathering outside the door to my family’s shop in town. As much as I was hoping they were coming to visit the cutest shop dog in town (that’s me in case you were wondering), they were arriving for a different reason.
It was Christmas parade time!
This year’s parade was a little different, because if you’ll note my attire….it was nearly 70 degrees! That’s unheard of for December in Pennsylvania.
Warm weather or not, I wouldn’t have missed the parade anyway….as I haven’t missed one since I was born!
Especially because the fire trucks are always my favorite. That siren gets me howling EV-ERY time!
But the real excitement is always when just before sunset Santa and Mrs. Clause show up.
