After my big excursion yesterday to the Spring Doxie Fest in Maryland, I decided to spend today resting. I probably look like this:
Well at least for a little while. I can’t miss agility class this afternoon!
Why rest when there are so many adventures to go on! And have no fear, if you weren’t able to make it to the Spring Doxie Fest this year, I’ll be back tomorrow with a full recap! 
Working Hard….or Hardly Working. What do you think?
My idea of work might be a bit fuzzy, but I’m pretty sure no one’s complaining!
Not all of my days are as adventurous as the next.
Sometimes I wake to find that today will just be an average day.
Quiet and calm.
Some might even say boring.
It’s days like these that I get to rest up for my next big adventure. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Plus I really enjoy napping.
It’s Summer and it’s hot. So you’ll have to excuse me if all I do today is nap on the bed in the cool cool air conditioning. That is all.
My friend Shilah the Husky puppy came to visit me over the weekend.
And although you may not be able to tell by looking at the photos, much like most puppies, Shilah is a bundle of energy.
But with me as her teacher, I’ve been showing her the rewarding benefits to mellowing out with your family. Like snuggling on the couch….
….or watching tv in the living room (animal planet of course).
I know it’s hard for her to mellow out with me, but I promised her as a compromise that this winter we’d hitch her up to my sled and do some dog sledding! Yeehaw!

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a morning dog.
I don’t wake up at 5am and demand to be fed my breakfast….no, I sleep until someone tells me it’s time to get up.
Usually I’m awakened by the sound of kibble being poured into my bowl in the kitchen, because really, who can resist that sound?
Eventually I mosey into the kitchen and eat – but unlike you might think, I don’t go outside for a morning romp – instead I find a new comfy spot to sleep.
Despite the fact that mom says we have to be at work in an hour, I just can’t muster the energy to get my day started.
So instead I happily snooze my morning away until I’m forced to go outside for a potty break or mom carries me to the car for our ride to the shop or the farm.
I may not be a morning dog, but if you had as many adventures as I do you might be a little less willing to get out of bed in the morning too.
Do you ever just have one of those days where it’s really really hard to get out of bed? Well today is one of those days. Someone wake me for dinner.
I know yesterday was the 4th of July, but, well, I’m taking an extra day of vacation. Please don’t tell my boss, I might get in trouble.
It’s kinda nice to just lounge around with my friends today.
Ahhhh, nothing like an extra day of sunning!
