Bake me a Cookie

When I heard that mom and dad were going to bake cookies for dad’s “cookie exchange” at work I was so excited! Honestly, the only word I heard was cookies.

I waited and waited for those cookies.

And when no cookies came my way….I took matters into my own paws…….

But alas, I did not score any cookies! Thank goodness mom and dad felt sorry for me and had some of these on hand….

Oh yes, I feasted! It’s the sad puppy eyes, they work every time. hehe.

Beach Weather

A couple of weeks ago I spotted this…..

That’s a photo of my pal Cricket “sunning” at the farm. How you might ask? With a heat lamp of course! And you can bet that I begged and begged my mom until she finally relented and bought me my very own.

It’s like I’m at the beach at work! Pretty cool huh?

So while it’s a chilly 19 Degrees in Pennsylvania today I’m baking at the beach inside the shop!

I bet you wish you were me! 🙂

Downingtown Christmas Parade

Lucky for me, every year the Downingtown Christmas Parade comes right past my mom’s shop. Meaning I get a prime spot for watching all the festivities!

In 2007, my friend Minnow was in the parade….

Maybe someday I’ll get to be in the parade too! Paws crossed! What do you think I should dress up as should the need ever arise for a Christmas Doxie?

Rock n’ Roll

Winter. It’s not a lot of fun. Ok wait, there are some fun parts about it. Like snow, roasting by the fire, Christmas, and hibernating.

What isn’t so fun……the need to wear multiple winter coats just to keep warm when I’m at the farm. It totally throws off my Rock n’ Roll persona when I’m reduced to waddling around everywhere I go!

I can’t even get a good roll in!

Friday Fetch: eco dog beds

So I’ve decided to add a new feature to my blog each week.

I’m going to call it FRIDAY FETCH!

And I’m going to fetch you some super cool products for my fellow canines & canine lovers.

I’ll search high and low to bring you some super stylish things….you know, because I’m super stylish myself!

So hold onto your hats, and get ready to see some totally rad stuff. And since it’s that time of year for gifting, perhaps you’ll find something totally rad for the super-doggie in your life.

Today’s Fetch is the eco-friendly dog beds from P.L.A.Y (via phetched)

Not only are they super stylish, but they are stuffed with recycled plastic bottles. So lay comfy my friend, knowing that you are helping to save the planet. one pet bed at a time. You can fetch these dog beds here.

Deck the Halls

It was inevitable.

The Christmas tree may have made it home, but it was far from festive. But have no fear, I was up for the task of decorating it.

Ok fine, I mostly watched.

However, I did give my favorite ornament a good butt sniff before he made it to the tree.

And before I knew it the tree was decorated.

It was…..GLORIOUS…..

…if you can’t tell from the look on my face.

Only 17 more days until Santa comes!

Oh Christmas Tree….

I bet you guessed it…..it’s Christmas Tree Shopping time!

Last year I had to do my Christmas Tree Shopping in the rain.

Mostly because my parents waited too long to get a tree….and the last chance we had was during a rainstorm!

So this year we went shopping for a tree right away.

I had so many trees to choose from I didn’t know where to start!

Luckily this year we didn’t have rain….instead we had the frigid cold.

So cold, that I’m not really sure why my family insisted on taking like a bazillion pictures of all of us.

Yeah, I lost interest after about a minute. I mean wasn’t the purpose to get me a tree….so Santa has somewhere to put all my presents?

My parents took so many pictures in fact, that they made the camera die! So if you are wondering why there are no picture of me helping Dad cut down our Christmas tree….you can blame them.

Luckily though, when we got closer to the car, mom was able to grab her spare camera.

I helped Dad drag the tree to the Christmas Tree people!

And FINALLY my tree made it safe and sound into my car. And I made it safe and sound into my heated doggie seat!

Only 18 more days until Santa comes!

Santa Paws!

Most of my facebook friends already know, but I got to visit Santa Paws on Saturday!!

Santa decided to make a special trip from the North Pole to visit all of the good little dogs of Downingtown, Pa. And if getting to sit on Santa’s lap wasn’t enough, I got to meet lots of new friends!

I even met another Doxie just like me!

Yea, Dutchess the Dachshund kinda freaked me out with her glowing eyes too. Me and Trooper were scared. Do you see Trooper in the background waiting to see Santa!?

I made faces at Trooper while he got his picture taken.

Although I have to admit, I’m a little jealous of his pearly white smile! Trooper’s that is. But despite Trooper’s toothy grin, I can still one-up him…..

….I can fit on Santa’s lap!

And yes, I was a tad scared of Santa. Hopefully he won’t hold that against me and will still stuff his sleigh with goodies for me! Please Please Please no coal for Xmas Santa. I promise to leave you milk and cookies.

And in case you missed it, here’s a photo of me in 2008….the very first time I met Santa Paws.

P.S. Santa told me to relay a message to all my Friends……. Merry Christmas!!!

Visiting with Santa Paws benefited the SPCA of Chester County.

The Holiday Spirit

This weekend I was busy getting into the Holiday Spirit with my family! A trip to see “Santa Paws” & some Christmas tree shopping was in store. Don’t worry, I stayed bundled up in my winter coat for both occasions.

Today I’m recovering from my “Holiday Spirit Weekend” with a little of this….

I’ve got lots of pictures to share this week from my awesome adventure! I’m sure it will put everyone into the Holiday Spirit! 🙂

Chalk it Up

Lately I’ve been a little worried I might end up like this guy from Houndstoothdesign….

It all started when my mom saw this image on the internet.

source unkown

See my mom has decided that she loves Chalkboard paint.

First it was a chalkboard for the kitchen.

I guess I am kinda flattered that my “likeness” got to be the first thing to go up on the board.

Then it was the mini-fridge.

Actually, it’s just my size. Do dog bones need to be refridgerated?

And then it was the chalkboard canvas in the bedroom.

I just hope those “presents” under the tree are for me.

I guess I can get on board with the whole chalkboard thing…..just as long as I get to draw on them too!

P.S. Mom said that all my blog readers would appreciate a list of materials used to make these chalky creations. So here you go!
