Agility Master

As my facebook fans might know, I’ve been taking an Intro to Agility Class at the Dog Training Club of Chester County. So far it’s been a lot of basic stuff to get me prepared for the obstacles, but this week I actually got to practice walking over some low jumps in class.

I don’t have any videos from class (where I’m of course a super star), but I do have this fun video of me and mom practicing at work yesterday.

After learning how to target my nose to spot with clicker training, my mom is having me complete an obstacle and then touch my nose to the target. We haven’t really progressed this far in the class yet, but mom said I’m so far ahead in my “homework” that it wouldn’t hurt to make it a little harder for me. I’m not complaining, I can’t wait to show the big dogs what I can do when we get to class next week (to be fair there is one corgi in my class…..but I’m by far the tiniest).

And since it’s Friday, I thought I’d show you another video. This is just to make you smile.

Yeah, that kitten is crazy. I don’t know whether I should play with her, eat her, or be afraid of her. It’s a conundrum.

Sometimes I Cry

Yes, I know I’m supposed to be a big boy…..but sometimes you just need your Daddy.

After my Dad visited me at the shop one Saturday, I was very sad to see him go. As embarrassing as it is, my mom caught my little “crying fit” on camera.

Can you blame me? We all lose it once in a while.

But don’t worry, I wasn’t sad for very long. My mom gave me a big juicy bone and I forgot all about my Dad after a few minutes (sorry Dad, I still love you).

Cat Nap

My new pal Spider may still be young, but one thing is for sure, she’s definitely mastered the cat nap. Bravo Spider, Bravo.

I very much look forward to some “cat naps” in the sun at the farm with my girls, Cricket and Spider.

Secret Stash

Ok, so if I show you something, you have to PROMISE not to tell my mom! This is like top secret stuff!

I have a little something hiding under my bed.

And since we are friends, I guess I can show you.

It’s The Dangerous Book for Dogs!

See….it’s not really on my recommended reading list, that’s been pre-approved by my mom.

With chapters “How to make your owner look like an idiot” and “How to ruin the perfect dinner party”, I don’t think my mom would approve. But, with a title that has the word DANGEROUS in it, I just couldn’t resist….I’m an adventure dog after all!

So please please please don’t tell my mom. I PROMISE I won’t turn into a “bad dog”….I just had to see what was inside this book! (And don’t worry I’ll tell you all about it after I read it)

It’s our little secret.

The Sky is Falling

I seriously thought the sky was falling a few weeks ago. I was scared.

I mean really, if you didn’t know any better, you’d think the sky was falling too.

But then, I realized it wasn’t the sky, it was just some migrating birds. “Some” doesn’t really cover it. Just check out this video mom took.

Yeah if that doesn’t make you have bird nightmares, I don’t know what will? This definitely makes me think twice about going “bird hunting” with Cricket. She’s on her own.

Work of Art

When you spend a lot of your time with a couple of Painting Ponies, it seems that there is always paint flying about. Literally.

All’s fair in love and art I guess!

Check out the ponies’ newest works of art here.

Birthday Treats

I know what you’re thinking…..and no you can’t have any.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I went to my Aunt Sarah’s Birthday Party over the weekend.

I even gave the sad puppy eyes.

And wouldn’t you know they let my cousin help blow out the candles instead of me! Uncool! Just Uncool!

Aunt Laurel, who’s birthday is today, you BETTER share some Birthday cake with me!

Lineman

On Sunday we had our last event at Iron Horse Farm before winter. Me and Trooper helped out.

Ok fine, maybe we weren’t THAT helpful.

See photos from the event here.

Friend’s House

Occasionally I take a break from my busy work schedule to visit friends. Case-in-point, on Saturday I got to hang out at a friends house. We ate popcorn and watched Star Trek.

And I made myself right at home!

I just wish they had a little doggie friend for me to play with (hint hint)….I promise I’d teach him the ways of the World. Just look at my sad puppy eyes. Sigh. Maybe someday. A boy can wish!

The WEEEINER! Doggie Prize Pack

So….. maybe it’s his smiling face, or maybe I’ve just got more important things to do, whatever the case may be….I just can’t destroy my little squeaky toy.

So seeing as how it’s been 3 WEEKS since I announced my Doggie Prize Pack contest – I figured I shouldn’t delay any longer in choosing a winner (even if I haven’t eaten my little smiley face).

I don’t think anyone saw it coming that I’d keep him around this long – my mom is still shocked he’s alive. So instead of choosing a winner from the correct guesses (since there weren’t any), I decided to randomly choose the winner using random.org

Congrats to Jelly the Dachshund!!

Look for an e-mail from me, and I’ll get your Doggie Prize Pack sent over!

Thanks to all my guessers! Even if you didn’t win, don’t worry I have a special DISCOUNT for you in my ONLINE SHOP!
